“Who is she, Jax? I thought she’s your girlfriend,” Dione asked. Jax frowned at her, as if what she was saying was impossible to happen.
“She’s Amara, one of the family friends of the Hemmings family. She happens to know me on a gathering once, and since then, she’s been clinging to me and calling me her fiance,” Jax explained.
Dione’s eyes widened at what she heard and stopped walking. She even slapped Jax arm before speaking.
“You, dummy! She likes you! And yet, you treated her like that!” Dione said to him. Jax’s forehead furrowed even more because of what Dione said.
“So, do you like me to be with her instead? If yes, it’s a no for me. I want to be with you, no one else,” Jax said seriously, and that silenced Dione. That was Jax’s last rebuttal that could calm shut her off down.
