The pit of despair and dread forming deep inside me had my mind a mess of thoughts. For so long I had been happy about being Xander’s mate, but now that I knew the truth? How could I be with him…? How could I be his mate? I bit the inside of my lip trying to swallow the bile that threatened to come up at the thought of being with him at all. Even the idea of his touch felt wrong, disgusting, and vile. I waved goodbye as Ellen and Micheal left for their own place a huge grin plastered on my face as I felt good for the first time in a long while. I felt a sensation of pleasurable warmth cover my entire being as a delicious scent washed over my nose. A face appeared amongst the darkness, I for some reason was hyper-focused on its lips.
