LOGINThelma’s POV
I tried to be neutral and act as though I just got here but it was not possible as to why I broke the vase.
My hands were getting sweaty and I knew I was nervous, it can be seen through me easily which would break my lies.
Just when I was confused on what to do, a pair of hands pulled me away leading to another room which I have no idea existed.
The wall closed on us leading to an underground, I looked up to see who it was and was met with a pair of blue eyes, cold yet enchanting and seductive.
“Have you seen enough?” He asked, I cleared my throat pulling away from him feeling awkward.
“Thanks.” My voice came out inaudible, I can’t believe I was lost staring at his eyes. He walked towards another side, with me walking behind.
He didn’t say anything instead kept walking towards a direction, soon we got out, I realized the secret passageway lead outside the pack to the training ground.
He turned to face me, that was when I saw him clearly, Xavier.
Yvonne fiance that was ambushed in the past life, he was said to be her mate but I knew there were more to it now.
He was ambushed and overpowered when he went to save Neon in the past life, since tomorrow tonight was the night I’ll be announced as the Luna to be.
Tonight is the night Yvonne will find out he was her mate, she came to meet me for help to cover up her scent which was weird because anyone will be happy to have found their mate.
He pocketed his hands into his trouser, “You should be more careful eavesdropping on people, you don’t get to be saved everytime.”
His words left me tongue struck, saved everytime? Has he saved me before? Could it be? No, it can’t be, not possible.
Just as he was about to leave, I held his hand, “You should be careful also, someone is targeting you and you might get ambushed tonight.”
Before he could say anything, Neon arrived cutting our conversation short, “Thelma.” He called out, I forced out a smile as I stared at him.
He glared at Xavier gently before he pulled me to his side walking away from him, I glanced back to see Xavier still staring at me.
“Why are you with him?” Neon asked immediately we got in. I rolled my eyes secretly, if I hadn’t been reborn, I’ll have thought he was just been jealous not knowing he was just an evil and wicked person.
I snatched my hand away from his, landing a slap on his cheek before he could think of whatever could be on my mind, “What now? You want to start controlling me? Who do you think you are?”
He sensed I might be angry and quickly changed his expression, he helped me sat on my chair kneeling in front of me.
His fake smile plastered on his lips, “Of course not. I’m just worried about you, Xavier is dubious and act secretively, I just didn’t want him to harm you.”
The real secretive person here is you, you are the one who wanted to harm me, I scoffed slightly, my arms folded under my firm breast.
“Whatever you say, you just don’t get to drag me all the way from the training ground to my room.” He nodded slowly.
I let out a small smile, by now, he should be gone, he stared deep into me, coming closer to kiss me but I pushed him away.
He was shocked, yes, I always wanted this but he told me until he get announced as my royal alpha, it was good at first but not anymore.
“You said until you get pronounced as my royal alpha, just one night.” I said sharply, he smiled and nodded standing up.
He pecked my forehead, “Yes, I totally forgot, I can’t wait for you to be mine already.” I nodded but stared at him in disgust as he left.
I breathed out a sigh of relief which didn’t last long before mom came in, remembering what they both discussed earlier, my heart raced in pain.
The people I have regarded as my parents all my life were not even mine. The tiny bit of hope I held in me was lost, I thought maybe they were playing favorites and that was why they chose Yvonne over me.
But now that I knew the reason, I just couldn’t stare at them as before, “Mom.” I said slowly standing up for her to sit down.
She made me sit in front of her as she held my hands, “I saw Neon leaving your room just now.”
Of course she’ll try to find out if anything happened between us but she was wrong, “Yes mom. He came to check up on me since he hadn’t seen me outside all day.”
She gave me a knowing look, “No mom…” I paused laughing, “A woman’s dignity is one of the greatest qualities she can possess, I didn’t allow him to pass his boundaries.”
She nodded, “I just decided to check up on you, I hope you are preparing for your crowning ceremony tomorrow, it’ll be the full moon.”
I didn’t know what to say at first but I just nodded, “I can never be more ready.”
She stood up and left before I could lose my temper, immediately she was out, I let out all the emotions I built up.
I had been controlling my rage before her because I don’t want her suspecting anything, she definitely came because she thought I might be the one who eavesdropped on them.
I knew I had a lot to do, I stood up to go outside but Yvonne came in, can this people just stay out of my way and life for some minutes.
“Sis, I need your help.” She said before I could say anything. I remember she came for something in the previous life.
“What do you want?”
She stared at me like she was contemplating, “I want you to mask my scent with your scent.” She said.
I hesitated a bit, I did this for her in the previous life then the next morning, it was said Xavier was ambushed.
Then I remembered, Xavier wasn’t just ambushed, he went into coma instead, I wasn’t really interested in the case because it wasn’t my concern.
But now that he saved me, I’ll reciprocate by saving him alsi, “No Yvonne. I can’t do that right now, I must have enough energy for tomorrow or I’ll not be announced as the Luna.”
She hesitated, “No sis, I know you can do it, it’s really important to me.” I sighed out in frustration. I was starting to get more annoyed.
“I told you, I can’t, you can mask your own scent yourself so why do you need me to do that for you?” I snapped in anger, I needed to get to the cabin fast before Xavier would be attacked.
She stomped her feet on the floor in anger, “I’ll just do it myself.” She said as she left, I knew I had provoked her but I’m less bothered as I rushed towards the cabin.
My legs finding its way to where Xavier was said to be found unconscious in the previous life, getting there, I didn’t see him instead a sweet chocolate scent filled my nose.
Something snapped in me, my wolf, Thalia whom was asleep stirred waking up, “Find it, he’s our mate.”
“It can’t be, I didn’t find my mate in the previous life so how come.” I was in heat, Thalia wanted to take over, I knew.
Just when I was about turning, Xavier came out, the scent grew stronger, what is this? Could he be the one?
POV: Thelma The shockwave hit like a physical force, rippling out from where Theo and I stood. I felt it pass through my body, carrying our combined power across the territory and beyond. The white-gold light that had blazed between us moments ago didn't just fade, it exploded outward in waves that made the air shimmer. Every wolf in Luna's pack dropped to their knees, including the warriors who'd been watching our fight. Their heads bowed automatically, responding to an Alpha command we hadn't even spoken. "What's happening?" I gasped, watching the light continue to spread. Luna struggled to her feet, fighting against the pressure of our power. Her face was pale. "You've awakened something that hasn't existed in generations. True Alpha twins. The combined power signature is broadcasting across the supernatural network like a beacon." "A beacon?" Theo's voice was sharp with alarm. "You mean.." "Every pack, every Alpha, every supernatural being within a hundred miles just felt t
"Liar!" He shifted partially, his wolf coming forward. His eyes glowed gold, and his claws extended to twice their normal length. "You're just a pretender who wants access to our father's legacy!" He attacked again, faster and more brutal than before. We crashed together in a flurry of claws and teeth. He was better trained, but I was desperate. He knew technique, but I knew pain. He'd been raised to be a weapon, but I'd been forged by betrayal and death. Blood flew. Mine and his. I didn't know who was winning anymore. Every time I landed a hit, he came back harder. Every time he knocked me down, I got back up. "Stay down!" Theo roared, slamming me into the ground. "Just stay down and admit you're not her!" "I can't!" I gasped, tasting blood. "Because I am her! I'm your sister, you stubborn idiot! Why won't you believe me?" "Because if you're real, that means I spent twenty-three years hating someone who was suffering just as much as me!" His voice cracked. "It means I wasn't alo
POV: Thelma The training ground fell silent as Theo approached me. Every warrior stopped their practice, sensing the tension crackling in the air. My brother, my twin moved like death itself, all grace and controlled violence. "She doesn't look like much," Theo said to Luna, circling me slowly. "Are you sure this is really her? The great Alpha heir we've been waiting for?" "I'm standing right here," I snapped. "You can talk to me directly." "Why would I talk to a ghost?" His golden eyes—our father's eyes—were cold as winter. "My sister died twenty-three years ago in the massacre. Aunt Luna told me so herself." I turned to Luna, betrayal burning in my chest. "You told him I was dead?" Luna's expression remained neutral. "I told him what he needed to hear to survive. A child grieving a lost sister is more motivated than one pining for a sibling who might never return." "So you lied to him." I looked back at Theo. "She lied to both of us." "Don't try to bond with me," Theo snarl
Thelma's POV "The Moon Goddess works in mysterious ways," Luna said carefully. "And Thelma has her mother's gifts. Catherine could see through time, glimpse different possibilities. Maybe Thelma's gift manifested differently." "It doesn't change anything," Theo insisted, but his voice had lost some of its edge. "She still lived with them. She still.." "I killed them," I said quietly. "Or at least, I destroyed their plans. I rejected Neon publicly. I exposed their lies. I broke free from their control. That's why I'm being hunted now. That's why bounty hunters were dragging me back to be executed." Silence fell over the room. Theo stared at me with an unreadable expression. "You rejected an Alpha's son publicly?" Luna asked, and there was something like respect in her voice. "I rejected everything they tried to make me." I stood up, facing them both. "I'm not their puppet anymore. I'm not anyone's puppet. I'm Thelma, daughter of James and Catherine. And I want revenge just a
POV: Thelma I woke up in a bed so soft it felt like clouds. For a moment, I forgot where I was. Forgot everything except the warmth and comfort surrounding me. Then memory crashed back, and I bolted upright with a gasp. The room was beautiful. Sunlight streamed through gauzy curtains, illuminating elegant furniture and walls painted in calming blues and greens. Nothing like a prison cell. Nothing like what I expected from a captor. "You're awake." The voice came from a chair near the window. Selene, no, she'd called herself Luna. My aunt Luna sat watching me with those familiar eyes. "How do you feel?" "Like I've been poisoned and kidnapped." I swung my legs off the bed, testing my strength. The silver burns on my wrists were bandaged with something that smelled like healing herbs. "What do you want from me?" "Direct. I like that." She stood and moved closer, her movements graceful and controlled. "You look so much like Catherine. My sister would be proud of the fighter yo
POV: ThelmaThe forest had become my home for three days now, and I was starting to understand why rogues went mad. The isolation ate at you. The constant vigilance wore down your defenses. And the mate bond, that cursed thread connecting me to Xavier, pulled at my heart with every breath.I shoved another handful of wild berries into my mouth, barely tasting them. My stomach had stopped growling yesterday, which probably wasn't a good sign. The small cave I'd found provided shelter from the rain that had started this morning, but it did nothing to protect me from my own thoughts."He lied to you," I whispered to myself, the words echoing off stone walls. "They all lied."But even as I said it, I felt Xavier's presence through our bond. He was awake now, healed enough to be conscious. His emotions bled into mine despite the distance, guilt, worry, love, and a determination that scared me almost as much as it comforted me.I closed my eyes and focused on shutting him out. It was gettin
