Celeste's POV

He cleared his throat, meeting each of their eyes before he began to talk. “Good evening to all the esteemed elders at the table, it is a great honor to speak to all of you as a member of this pack" his voice was humble.

A smile threatened to break out on my face at his last words, ‘a member of the pack' but not for long. I knew he had a plan in his head and soon, he wouldn't be just a member and nobody would see it coming.

They all looked attentive now with the way he had started his speech and since nobody wanted to say anything, he continued. “I have come here on behalf of the people who can't. The ones who suffer" he pointed to the villager.

His face and tone had changed and when I found Ragnar at the head of the table opposite us, his expression had changed as well. He wasn't happy before but now it looked like he was scared for his life.
