DELANY OUTSIDE OF THE COURT “You did great,” the attorney said to me with a small smile and I nodded gratefully. We were standing by Nathaniel’s car. DELANY NEXT DAY 8:30am, Hospital. I squeezed the napkin out of a bowl of warm water as gently dabbed it on my mother’s body. I came in when the nurse wanted to clean her up, I just asked her to let me do it. Six months before now, my mother was diagnosed with End stage renal disease. She had almost no symptoms of kidney failure until it was damaged beyond repair. I donated one of my kidneys to her but she almost didnt survive the damages it had done to her. She fell into coma immediately after the surgery.
