Chapter 35: Facing the Hardest Reality

Anita swallowed hard and held onto her chest with her trembling hands as their car approached Austin's school, seeing all the reporters gathered in front of Austin's school.

She knew they had come for her, and with the way they looked, it did not in any way seem like they had any plans to let her off their hook today.

"You can stay in the car if you want; I will handle them," Angie suggested, her eyes focused on Anita, but she shook her head in return, ready to face the hardest reality.

"No," Anita said in a low tone. It's high time I faced this. Besides, whoever did this must have hoped that I would keep running away from it, so they would keep hunting me. I won't let them."

Anita grabbed the door handle with a sweaty palm, sighing heavily and getting ready to face the reporters. She pushed the car door open, her eyes counting the number of reporters.
