Making New Enemies

The man before me swayed and the smell of alcohol filled my nostril immediately. My heart rate accelerated as his eyes remained on mine.

The buzz in my hand increased, I was going to have to do something about him.

“No!” Hazel yelled, her angry voice resonating through me.

“That’s enough Alena, you're the Luna of this pack and your duty us to protect them, not harm them like this.” She said.

“And their duty was to properly conduct an investigation, not unjustly kill people.” I snapped at her.

The man turned away from me and began to retch his guts out into the bushes, he stood up, swayed, made incoherent sounds before he began to throw up again. It was obvious he was drunk out of his mind.

I watched him for a few more seconds before making the decision to spare him, I doubt even he would believe what he’d seen if he becomes sober and I was still completely cloaked, there was a high chance he didn't know my identity.
