Protecting the Pack

Kira's POV

Xander and I entered the meeting hall to find a full room, my mum was there too. They all stood up to welcome me, I didn't realize I had that much relevance already. Bowing my head lightly, I sat in the reserved chair.

“Good day everyone, thanks for honoring my invitation at such short notice.” I said to them.

Beta Mason stood up, “this is the first time we would be having a general meeting with the apparent heir. And we couldn't just sit back without showing our faces.”

I inhaled, looking towards Xander, who gave me an affirmative nod. “I don't know how to say this, but I will start by appreciating every one of you for standing by my father all this year's. We're still keeping the pack glued together despite his absence. Thank you. Today I have called you altogether, to save our pack. This has been going on for a long while, but I didn't see any reason to call onto anyone until there is some level of certainty.”
