Her glaring image

Black Grave pack...

Five days on...

Waking up to the blank memories of the past few days has been the worst days of her life. Yes, she has been living with that for the past years, but lately, she has been curious. The past she never wanted to know about is now haunting her, and she needs to know about it. Maybe she'll be able to have clues about who she is.

It's a beautiful evening, and the view from the garden looks great. She is supposed to be smiling heartily as she stares at the beauty of the flower, but how's she supposed to be happy when everything reminds her of that monster? How's she supposed to still feel the connection between herself and the beautiful flowers, when he already ruined her life and her entirety?

Slowly, she clenches her fists and grits her teeth as she glares hard at the flower. Suddenly, she feels her heart wrenches in pain. It's coming again, that demonic power that took her body, that power that buried her good heart and manipulated her. She tries to stop it, but it doesn't seem like it's going to work.

'I'll worship your body forever, Iris' recalling his smile each time he had told her that lies, she can't help the hatred that suddenly consumes her, and she can't help wishing to make him pay, but then, the thought of his kids that she already got addicted to.

"They're all the same, Iris! Don't think about them. Remember that their father gave birth to them? They tend to take after him. They'll do nothing, but betray you in the end," Her subconscious mind screams at her, and she clenches her fists more.

'We don't like her, father'

'Who do you think you are? Because you were giving a chance to get close to my kids, you think that you now have a place in their lives?' Those are the hurting words that keep ringing in her head, and she can only conclude that she was right. They're all the same.

"Do you still love him even after everything?" A strange feminine voice sounds from behind her, and she freezes on the spot. Slowly, she turns around to see the source of the chilling voice. The cold voice that gave her goosebumps. Finally, there she is. Her own image is standing right before her, and glaring hard at her with so much anger written all over her face.

"Who...who are you?" Although she knows she shouldn't be asking the question because it's obvious that this creature is herself. But how come she's suddenly split into two?

"I am you, Iris!" The chill in the voice sends shivers down her spine, as a smirk creeps up her lip. She suddenly feels her heart beating rapidly against her chest like it's trying to escape from her. Her forehead suddenly covers up in balls of sweat, and she feels herself getting consumed by the dark and intimidating aura of the image that's standing before her. Who's this? What does she want from her? Why's she haunting her?

"You...you are me?" Iris stutters nervously, unable to believe this, even as it's so obvious that she looks just like herself.

"Don't be scared. I'm just here to keep you company and have a little discussion with you. No cause for alarm," Iris watches as her image walks past her and touches the flower with so much enthusiasm in her. She panics.

"Don't attract attention to yourself. You're the only one that can see me. Don't you think people will think of you as weird, wearing that terrified look on?" Her image smirks at her, and she steps back with fear written all over her.

"I asked a question, Iris. Do you still love him?" Her question echoes in Iris's head for the second time, and she gulps down nothing nervously. Does she still love Lorenzo even after everything? Yes, she hates him so much, but will it still happen when she gets to see him again? With these mixed feelings in her, the feeling of hatred and wants, she wish that she can get rid of them. She wishes that she doesn't feel this way, and just feels like killing him and ending all her miseries.

"Poor Iris. I have gotten the answer that I am looking for. See you some other time," Iris watches as she vanishes into thin air before she can think of stopping her. She has so many questions to ask her, but it seems like she'll never get a chance, or maybe not today.

"The alpha seeks your presence in his chamber, Iris," The polite voice of her maid disrupts her thought, and she sighs briefly.

"I'll be there shortly," She dismisses the maid, still staring in the direction that the mysterious lady with her image had gone. Could that really be her?

Finally turning around, she strides out of the garden and heads straight to alpha Argus's chamber, and there he is, sitting in his study and having all of his attention engrossed in the book he's reading. No doubt that it's a book about history. At least, those are the only books he studies during his free time.

"Greetings," She bows her head slightly after she walks into the study to meet him. It has been a couple of days since she has been here, and she's kind of already getting adapted to life here. She still has many questions running through her mind with each day that passes by, but she still feels like it's too early for that. Maybe giving it more time to learn and know more about this man would be the best idea in the world.

"Greetings. Please sit," Alpha Argus points to the empty seat across from him, and she nods her head and makes herself comfortable on it.

"You sent for me..." She pauses.

"Yes, I did..." He pauses, then stands up from the chair, and walks over to the shelf that has so many books. He runs his fingers through the tons of books, while Iris stares at him from her seat in confusion. She didn't ask him to pick a book for her, so what's he up to?

He suddenly stops his finger abruptly, once he finds what he has been looking for. He brings out a book with a hardcover and blows off the dirt from it. He stares at it for a few seconds, his eyes flicker sadly. The book seems to hold so many of his precious memories, if not with her.

"I have been thinking, you know..." He pauses and walks over to her, leaning on the desk while hovering over her. She feels her heart beating rapidly against her chest, and she can't help gulping down the lump that just formed in her throat.

"Why don't we read a book together, huh?" He finally asks, and for some reason, she feels relief. She had no idea what she was thinking about moments ago, and she had no idea why she was so nervous and scared, but now she feels relieved. However, she suddenly finds herself having this feeling of curiosity as soon as he drops the book on the desk. This book, she has seen it before... She was connected to this book, but how come she can't remember anything about it?

"This..." Her mouth drops open, as she slowly reaches out for it...
