Finally found her!

“What?” Ace asked, the corner of his lips lifting a little. He found her shocked face very amusing. She shook her head, “Nothing,” and then lowered her gaze again, her cheeks reddening. His smile widened at her blush, and he also noticed that she had freckles on her cheeks. And in his opinion, she looked so fucking adorable with them. Not that anybody’s opinions of her would ever matter to him anyway. All that he knew was that he wanted her and all of her. “What is your name?” Ace has been dying to know that since he met her. “Minsi. Um… you?” Her green eyes blinked. He swore they were the brightest forest green eyes he’d ever seen. So beautiful. “I’m Ace. I like your name, Minsi,” he uttered.

He watched as her eyes grew in shock, and her cheeks reddened. “The—the Alpha of Mistwood pack?” She couldn’t believe it. He nodded proudly. “That would be me.” She blinked. Ace noticed that she liked blinking so much. And she looks adorable whenever she does. A smile made its way to his lips. “Are you not hungry, Minsi?” He asked, trying his best not to jump and kiss her heart-shaped lips. He had to tame his wolf not to overreact since they held her for the first time last night. They were both so sinfully excited to have her in their life.

Minsi touched her tummy and then faced him, “I could eat a whole cow.” Ace couldn’t help but laugh at her words. Just when he thought she was adorable, she had to go and be funny too. So fucking amazing! He thought, rubbing the back of his neck. “Come on, let’s go get your cow then.” He got up and stretched his hand out for her to take. 

Minsi looked at his hand for a second as if unsure, and then moved from the bed and took it. Ace laced their fingers together the second she did. Sparks ignited her body. God, that felt so good. Thought Minsi, trying her best to hide her reactions from this man she had just met. She got up on her feet, and they only took a few steps when she suddenly groaned. Her face twisted in pain as she looked down at her feet. Goodness! How could I forget that her soles were bruised? Ace wanted to slap himself for forgetting.

Without a word, he placed his hand around her waist and picked her up, bridal style. She gasped in shock as she looked at him while her hands wrapped around his neck because that was where they were made to be. “What—you don’t have—please put me down.” She looked so worried that it made him frown deeply. 

“Why?”

“I—I don’t want to tire you.” Her body was stiff. Am I making her uncomfortable? Thought Ace with a deeper frown. “And why do you think you would?”

“Because…” her voice became smaller, almost like a whisper, “I’m too heavy.”

“Who said that to you?” He asked, not liking the look on her face.

“It’s obvious,” She looked down at herself, and pain flashed in her eyes. He wished to get rid of it. 

“Minsi.”

“Hmm?”

“You are not heavy. Do you know how many pounds I weigh? You will never be too heavy for me, sweetheart. Okay?” He rubbed her cheeks gently. They were too soft not to. He wished he could bite them, or rather smooch them. But he quickly shoved those thoughts away and focused back on her.

She nodded, blinking her tears away. Ace hated the sight of painful tears on her beautiful face. It made his heart squeeze with pain. “I’m famished. Shall we go now?” He asked her, wanting to change the subject. “Yeah.” She replied, finally relaxing in his arms.
