Chapter 25

The first day in a new place always carries an air of uncertainty, a mix of fear and excitement for what lies ahead.

I was acutely aware of my status as a newcomer, an omega, at the bottom of the hierarchy.

I was introduced to this new pack by Killian, an omega who had been with the pack for some years. He was kind enough to guide me through the sprawling compound of the pack areas designated for the various ranks within our community.

Our first stop was the place I would come to know all too well—the cleaning area.

"This is where we're assigned, day in, day out," Killian explained, gesturing towards the grimy surroundings.

It was evident that the omegas bore the brunt of the pack's disdain, tasked with maintaining cleanliness in a place that seemed perpetually covered in filth.

Am I going to clean this place every day?
