POV: Apartment Hunting

A week after the video was released, Laila was standing in the middle of a bright and airy condo with Janka and Rose.

“It's perfect.”

“It really is.”

She looked at the realtor and smiled,” and it's a rental. It's not for sale?”

“Exactly.”

“A secure building with much light and the owner doesn't mind if I use one of the rooms as a studio to paint?”

As long as there are no structural changes, the owner doesn't mind. Anything structural like making rooms bigger, smaller etc

POV: Intruder Alert Warm kisses coated her bare shoulders, waking her from the sweet dream she was having of her and Nichole. Laila first coherent thought was Nichole, had gone home, retrieved the key and come to her condo. She snuggled backward into his embrace and breathed in deeply, trying to scent the familiar aroma of his expensive aftershave.A frisson of fear covered her instead of the smell of the wooly sandalwood she associated with her current lover, the scent of her ex-husband cologne filled her nostrils.Any remnant of sleep flew out of her body with the speed of a rocket as she rolled off the bed and away from the man in her bed.“What the actual fuck, Merlin? She looked around frantically for her robe as she struggled to pull her night dress back up. He'd pushed the silk material down her hips while she'd slept.” How did you get in here?”“He sat up in the bed,” I miss you.” “I don't miss you.” She spotted her robe on the floor at the end of the bed and she lunged for

POV: Apologies It felt strange to be in a new apartment of her own. She lay in her bed staring at the ceiling, wondering what Nichole was doing. As if he knew she was thinking of him, her phone rang, and she stared at it panic-stricken, on the fifth ring she answered.“Hey Laila. Were you sleeping?” I didn't wake you, did I? His warm voice was soft and comforting.“No. I was just laying here.”The truth rang between them at her admission.“Are you avoiding me?” He asked.”“No.” She denied and then whispered,” yes.”“Why, sweetheart. Did I do something wrong?”“No. I did.”He was quiet for several seconds. Did you get back with Merlin?”“No!” She almost shrieked the answer. “Are you crazy?” No, I didn't get back with Merlin. What is wrong with you?”“Well you said you did something wrong and this entire trip to LA was because Tony tried to sabotage my build . I thought perhaps they got to you.”“No.” She frowned at the phone. “No” I didn't get back with him. I'd rather be single for t

POV: Brotherly Advice Laila finished putting the new line on her bed and smiled happily. I was so pretty.“I told you so,” Fred commented with a smug grin.”“You're the best interior designer in the world, and I am so fortunate to have you,” she kissed his cheek.”“Yes, you are. He looked around the room. This is a nice place.”“It really is, I love this room. It so nice,” “You got such a good deal on it too.”“I did. I can't believe how fast everything could come together.”“Have you heard from Nichole?”She shrugged.” He called me Sunday night and then I messaged him yesterday. He messaged late at night to say he was coming back from LA today sometimes, but he had to deal with issues relating to his contract.”“Did you talk to him?”“No, she avoided her brother's gaze.”“Laila, what's going on?” Fred asked quietly, tugging her to sit on the edge of the bed with him. The sound of Meredith, Rose and Janka in the kitchen arguing over where to put plates and glasses filtered in. As if

POV: Sexual Extortion Nichole stared at his client and stretched his temple.” Amelia, I'm not following your logic.”“I want the best, Nichole.”“And the design is the best. The windows you selected are top of the line, automated with voice controls and energy efficient. They're coded for earthquakes as per your request. I do not understand why you want to swap them out.”“I wanted black frames.”“No. You wanted white frames, which if you recall, we confirmed four times. The black will be too stark a contrast.”“But I wanted black.”“Yet, you asked for white, we ordered white.” We installed white and you want us to rip it all out?”“Yes.” She touched his arms,” and I don't want to pay for it.”“Yeah, that's not happening.” He shook her hands off his arm. Since he'd arrived Saturday afternoon, she'd made more than one attempt to flirt or touch him. He had fixed a rule about mixing business with pleasure. The only exception had been the beautiful woman waiting at home who had bribed hi

Anything structural like making rooms bigger, smaller etcetera has to be run by our rental company.“Sounds good to me,” she looks at her friends.” I should take this right?”“Yes. Unless you want a repeat of yesterday.”She'd had brunch with the girls Sunday and when she'd gotten back to Fred and Meredith, she'd walked in on them fooling around in the living room. Seeing her brother naked holding only a pillow in front of his junk was going to be a traumatic memory she'll have forever etched in her brain. She shrugged as she forced it to the deepest

POV: Drunk Laila shivered involuntarily as Nichole kissed her with a passion she was struggling to reciprocate. The amount of alcohol in her veins were hindering her ability to think and react clearly. When her tooth bumped hers he laughed and hugged her.“You're drunk, sweetheart.”“I know. I don't usually drink whiskey. It might actually be paint thinner.” She rested her head on his shoulder, she felt inebriated in the worst way.“Are you working today?”“Not really,” she whined. Definitely can't do any restoration when my head is this middled.“How about you come home with me?”“Don't you have work to do?”“I can work from home. You can sleep off the whiskey on the sofa in my office. I only want you close to me.”“You do?”“Yes very much do.”If I leave Janka might be able to open back up for the day.“Then let's go,” he stroked her cheek softly.”She blinked and opening her eyes back up was a struggle. She sighed as he kissed her forehead and pushed her head against his shoulder
