Chapter 50

POV Willow

I woke up in a comfortable bed with warm arms around me. For a split second, I thought it was Lee but then I smelled the intoxicating scent of Dean and it all came rushing back to me. I laid still, processing everything.

Dad was dead. That fact hit me in my heart. He was gone. Never again would he hug me or lecture me or teach me something. Never again would I feel the safety of having him near me.

For the last few years things between us had been beyond strained but before that, Dad was my hero. He taught me everything. I just couldn't picture my life without him.

To add to the hearbreak, we had just gotten everything sorted. I finally had him back in my life. To have him taken now just seemed like a cruel plot twist. One that I didn't know how to handle or process.

The next thing that hit me was that Lee had a second chance mate and didn't want me anymore. That hit me in the gut. He would never cuddle me in bed again.
