Before I had another chance to even explain myself, I was standing in front of a dead shut door.
"I should have said No. I should have fought for what we shared, Freddy," the emotions pooled against my throat, my eyes swell with the tears I would still not allow fall.
I sniffled rapidly, wishing that if I waited longer, Freddy would finally let me in, but it was all in my head.
I knew it well enough. I knew that Freddy might never look back and it was my fault. Totally.
"Freddy!" I pushed hard on the door, turning the knob several times in my frustration.
"Why don't you want to hear me out?" I landed another frustrated blow against the door.
"I regret it. I regret everything I had done with everything that is me,Freddy."
I sniffled, waiting to hear a response. But as expected, none came.
I wanted to scream some more. I wished there was a button I could push to put my life on pause and quietly crawl out of my skin.
Deeply, terribly, I regretted everything that had happened so far.
In between my thighs was still sore, and the throbbing in my p*ssy never really stopped.
My vision was drowsy from the tears and the way my body was trembling, not just from the pain of being pushed away by Freddy and the mistakes that had led me where I was, from the need that had taken over my entire body now, threatening to consume me whole.
I reached for the door knob.
"One more time," I nodded, trying to convince myself that it might work this time, but it was still a dead end. There was still a wall between us, one that I wasn't sure how much or how long it would take to bring down.
Defeated, I turned and started to walk away.
I didn't know what to do, or where to go. I knew I didn't want to be alone, but who exactly would be concerned enough to be bothered about my thoughts right now.
I gasped, rubbing hard against the back of my neck, but every part of me seemed to be itchy and sore.
I thought about taking a bath, but I was already descending the stairs that led to the sitting room.
Then, I was walking across the hallway connecting to the dining table.
My eyes caught a figure sitting on the far end of the dining table, hands folded under jaw and expression dead serious, it showed even in the shadows of the low light.
Quickly, I dismissed the thought that anyone would still be sitting there since after dinner.
Not sure of where I was even heading to, I was already striding past the dining table when his voice, deep and low, called my name in a way that had warmth and regret spreading through my chest, causing my feet to halt in position, but my body too scared to turn around.
"Lola."
An emotion rippled rapidly through my stomach, reaching the core of my feelings, tearing me apart and pulling me right up in a way that I didn't think was even possible.
I didn't realize how frozen I was against time, until he spoke again.
"Lola, come have a seat!"
That was when I turned and moved without any objection to settle into one of the dining chairs, the one on the far opposite end from him.
I cleared my throat loudly, feeling the need to speak first.
"I didn't know you were here, Mr. Langford."
"One second," he replied, rising gracefully from his chair to pluck the dining lights on.
The moment the space glowed brighter, I regretted ever having to start the conversation the way I did.
His body framed the transparent silk shirt he wore boldly, strong muscles, buff shoulders, his nipples poking up like they were excited to see me.
The heat that was long pooled between my legs developed quickly, turning me on fully.
I gasped, forcing myself to look away from where he stood, but his voice came again, causing my focus to return right back to him.
"The lights are up now. I hope you're more comfortable?"
I wasn't sure what he meant, but I nodded quickly, hoping whatever this was could end as soon as possible.
My legs were shaking, and my fingers, a decision away from going down my over stimulated p*ssy.
Going down on myself with him watching would be the craziest thing, but ---
"Gregory Langford, but you can still call me Greg like you have always done."
I gasped, holding my breathing down incase it was really too loud that he could hear.
I don't know why, but he suddenly solidified his gaze on my face, arousing something beyond the point that I could control.
Not sure of what I was supposed to do next, I nodded again. Rapidly. Suspiciously.
He exhaled mildly, adjusting back on his seat.
My breathing caught in my throat.
"I understand that you didn't expect to be here by this time---," he glanced at his empty wrist as if he could actually see an invisible time.
"Trust me, I never wanted to meet you like this. You came by chance, and I thought there was no point wasting time."
I chuckled uncomfortably, pushing my waist out in a way that made my stomach forge out too. It helped keep what was going on between my legs at a slightly bearable bay.
"Did Eddy truly not inform you about the activities of that night?"
The question dropped in my chest like a sour day.
My father-in-law's voice didn't sound the way it sounded when he asked me to address him differently. It sounded like danger. Like a fire ready to burn Eddy on my testimony.
My eyes twitched, and my heart began to pound ceaselessly.
"Talk to me, Lola."
"It was nothing. I mean, I should have known that it wasn't an ordinary costume before I wore it," my teeth chattered against themselves, bearing witness in their own way to my lies.
"That was not what I asked,Lola," he spoke with this soft growl effect underneath his tone that teased my entire body down to my toes.
I slipped my hand through the waistband on my pants, my heart beating fast to how much I was dripping.
Silence.
It was almost like he was waiting for me to satisfy my sanity before he continued.
I didn't stop.
I pushed in further until I caught the swollen lips of my cl*t.
Inhaling deeply, I couldn't stop myself from wanting to finally plunge in when my father-in-law spoke again. This time, with his voice returned to the initial mildness, but causing my stomach to hollow all the way down.
"Do it," he said, staring intently at me.
LOLAThe air was thick with something I knew wouldn't be in my favor.I found myself swallowing after every couple of minutes in an effort to fill the void that had taken over my stomach.Eye bags hung heavy against my face. I had not gotten any sleep the night before. For the most part of it, I had dug myself sore and painful, in a desperate effort to flatten out my p*ssy which was swollen from need — Freddy, my father-in-law, and my husband's best friend.I had squirted dirty on the bathroom floor, against the walls and on the bedsheets. A very rough night that was much needed for my sanity.I had managed to get my mind to want to sleep, but for more than an hour, I was restless even with my eyes shut.Standing now beside the opened window — I had intentionally moved to that spot. CONNORShe wasn't in the kitchen. I was dumb for even looking there.Lola doesn't really have a business in the kitchen, because Eddy had placed her on a ridiculous diet and who knows? LOLAThe whole time Connor bantered with Eddy, I kept my eyes fixed on Eddy and my mind rapidly processed his expression, weighing how much peace I get to enjoy going forward. When Connor called him out on what happened, I saw the color disappear from Eddy's face and I knew exactly the only thing that could mean — I was in trouble.I couldn't sit back and watch Greg lash out on Eddy. I knew he wouldn't want me to for the life of him. Moreover, I was visibly shaking, and that could send the wrong message to my father in-law. The last thing I wanted was to be dragged into this conversation at the moment, with Eddy sitting right there."Excuse me, please," I muttered. Without waiting for a response, I stood up, but I was too tense. My body jammed against the edge of the table, pushing my glass over. CONNORBack at Eddy Langford mansion, my contempt perfectly balled into shameless desire and maybe, nonchalant recklessness with no intention of holding back anymore, I spent the entire day in my room sleeping.By the time I woke up, it was already evening.I had slept for so long, but waking up, I felt as light as a feather, just as expected. My muscles were revitalized, my joints sturdy and my thoughts renewed with new ideas. To me, it wasn't just a long stretch sleep session to shed tiredness, it was a mark of a new beginning. The room looked emptier, like something I couldn't figure out yet had been pulled from it.The shadows from the curtains of the city lights dancing against the walls cast a certain heaviness to my eyes.Slowly, I let my eyes draw close, breathing in as hard as could from my lungs and letting it all out in a long gentle exhale. My nose caught the whiff of a scent that I was sure wasn't mine.It scented feminine.
