She wasn't in the kitchen.
I was dumb for even looking there.
Lola doesn't really have a business in the kitchen, because Eddy had placed her on a ridiculous diet and who knows? Maybe he monitors her movement in the house too, especially when it has to do with the kitchen.
But she was not in her room either, which was the most surprising.
Or maybe, I am the creepy one.
I was slowly walking down the hallway, back to my room from Lola's, when I suddenly stopped in my tracks, my eyes glancing hopefully at the leather wrist watch strapped to my wrist.
11:57 AM.
I sighed, rubbing anxiously against my forehead, the heat that had my whole body yearning helplessly for my best friend's wife doubling intensively.
"F*ck!" I yelled in a low cry, stomping angrily on the hard tiles of the floor, the shadows of the low lights surrounding me like they were daring me to make something happen tonight.
I was still in the confusion of my thoughts when I heard footsteps approaching faintly from a distance.
It seemed like someone was coming up the stairs.
My first instinct was to quicken my steps until I was well out of sight, but that would be as suspicious as hell, so I just turned in the direction of the stairs and waited, desperately hoping it was Lola.
My breathing slowed to every next faint slap on the step, my throat drying up quickly from intensive anxiety. I counted the seconds along with the soft continuous click of my wrist watch.
Thirty-one seconds altogether — the longest moment of my life — before I saw her shadow come into view and finally her figure.
My stomach dipped, and I swallowed hard, a fruitless effort to quench the itching that burnt against my throat.
She didn't look like she had seen me, like she would see me.
Her shoulders were slung forward, her face rigid and her expression tight and focused as she continued to stride lazily towards the second room on the second floor — the one that was supposed to be her matrimonial bedroom, but apparently, Eddy had been spending a lot of nights in his home office.
"Lola," I called out, my hand extending in front of me impulsively.
No answer.
That was when I realized that she was totally out of her environment. Her body language said it all.
My feet moved before I could even give it a little more thought.
She was just about to turn the doorknob when I caught her wrist.
She shuddered, her body jumping hard, and her eyes widening in a total obvious shock.
I let out a deep exhale, hoping the words that come out of my mouth next don't sound as stupid as how messy my thoughts were crumbling just by standing in front of her.
"I'm sorry I scared you," I said, laughing lightly through my words, I felt stupid right after.
"Oh,No. I mean...I understand. I just thought nobody would be up by this time," she replied, her body still visibly shaky.
"You're wrong, I guess," I rushed right after, still anxious about the conversation ending before I even got the chance to do anything about my over-flowing emotions.
She just nodded simply, avoiding my eyes entirely. It was almost like she wasn't interested in whatever it was I wanted to say.
I struggled to think up the next appropriate words to say, but my brain went helplessly blank.
The silence surrounding us solidified.
Her hand still hung on the door knob, her face pulled away from my view, my knuckles balled with frustration.
"I'm sorry about this evening," I managed, hoping it was enough to draw her attention back.
I was right.
Her expression loosened almost immediately, and she turned to look at me, something similar to a smile tugging at her lips.
"There's absolutely nothing for you to be sorry about. I am mostly thankful..." — she swallowed — "Somehow, you have managed to figure out my mess, and these days, you seem to be always there to catch me."
"Oooh, I don't see it that way," I responded, my weak attempt at trying to be courteous, when my c*ck was hard and swollen, still trapped tight against my pants.
Her eyes widened in silent curiosity at my words.
I continued, with every pleasure.
"I am just looking out for you, as I should."
My heart broke into a thousand pieces as I witnessed a film of tears pool heavy in her eyes. My chest tightened, my thoughts rushing back to many reasons as to why Eddy was an actual assh*le.
"How long has this been going on, Lola?" I asked, shifting a step towards her, my eyes burning with rage — at Eddy for even thinking of doing what he had done, at the woman standing in front of me now for not boldly backing out when she should have.
Lola sniffled, relaxing her shoulders like she was intentionally holding herself back from saying anything.
My fingers crossed over my face, slowly, grabbing her shoulders, my skin melting against her heavy emotions which were quite obvious even with how much she tried to hide them.
Her breathing was rapidly unsteady, mine raspy as they collided with hers.
"You are permitted to feel, Lola," I said, nodding rapidly as if doing that would make her understand me better.
"Let it out. Let it all out. Don't pile it all up in your chest until it hurts," I continued, staring her right in the eye as I carefully spelt out each word.
Her face paled heavily, I could see the stress lines double across her forehead, her lips twitching to how hard she was holding the tears from falling.
Her lips.
Something heavy dumped against my chest, causing my heartbeat to intensify.
I blinked rapidly, pulling my eyes away from her face, but feeling too awkward to just take my hands off her shoulders abruptly like that.
And that was how my attempt at escaping my emotions was cut short.
Something drew me right back in, the connection stemming heavily from my arms on her shoulders.
My subconscious aiming at an opportunity I shouldn't miss, I drew my fingers across her face, slightly.
I felt her flinch under my touch, but I was too fired up to back away from such minor rebuke.
Caressing her cheeks lightly in my palm, I felt my face begin to draw closer to hers.
I wasn't sure if she made another attempt at wanting a stop — I was so much in my feelings, I was selfish to consider what she wanted at the moment.
My face was almost against hers, our breathing heavily crashing when she yanked away from my grip, pushing the door beside us open and hurrying in.
I was still trying to process the situation when an unmistakable sound of solid footsteps descending hit my ears.
I turned towards the direction of the stairs, my vision fighting for triumph as I examined the space in front of me, my heart thumping heavily.
LOLAThe air was thick with something I knew wouldn't be in my favor.I found myself swallowing after every couple of minutes in an effort to fill the void that had taken over my stomach.Eye bags hung heavy against my face. I had not gotten any sleep the night before. For the most part of it, I had dug myself sore and painful, in a desperate effort to flatten out my p*ssy which was swollen from need — Freddy, my father-in-law, and my husband's best friend.I had squirted dirty on the bathroom floor, against the walls and on the bedsheets. A very rough night that was much needed for my sanity.I had managed to get my mind to want to sleep, but for more than an hour, I was restless even with my eyes shut.Standing now beside the opened window — I had intentionally moved to that spot. My chest was pounding uncontrollably and I needed the assurance that the space was not going to close in on me, that the city stretched beyond the cage of a room as a wife in Eddy Langford's mansion — Edd

LOLABefore I had another chance to even explain myself, I was standing in front of a dead shut door."I should have said No. I should have fought for what we shared, Freddy," the emotions pooled against my throat, my eyes swell with the tears I would still not allow fall.I sniffled rapidly, wishing that if I waited longer, Freddy would finally let me in, but it was all in my head.I knew it well enough. I knew that Freddy might never look back and it was my fault. Totally. "Freddy!" I pushed hard on the door, turning the knob several times in my frustration."Why don't you want to hear me out?" I landed another frustrated blow against the door."I regret it. I regret everything I had done with everything that is me,Freddy."I sniffled, waiting to hear a response. But as expected, none came.I wanted to scream some more. I wished there was a button I could push to put my life on pause and quietly crawl out of my skin.Deeply, terribly, I regretted everything that had happened so far
LOLAThe whole time Connor bantered with Eddy, I kept my eyes fixed on Eddy and my mind rapidly processed his expression, weighing how much peace I get to enjoy going forward. When Connor called him out on what happened, I saw the color disappear from Eddy's face and I knew exactly the only thing that could mean — I was in trouble.I couldn't sit back and watch Greg lash out on Eddy. I knew he wouldn't want me to for the life of him. Moreover, I was visibly shaking, and that could send the wrong message to my father in-law. The last thing I wanted was to be dragged into this conversation at the moment, with Eddy sitting right there."Excuse me, please," I muttered. Without waiting for a response, I stood up, but I was too tense. My body jammed against the edge of the table, pushing my glass over. My eyes locked in the moment as I watched the water trail slowly, like it already mastered its path on the smooth of the table top, towards Eddy.I wasn't sure how Mrs. Adama instincts wor
CONNORBack at Eddy Langford mansion, my contempt perfectly balled into shameless desire and maybe, nonchalant recklessness with no intention of holding back anymore, I spent the entire day in my room sleeping.By the time I woke up, it was already evening.I had slept for so long, but waking up, I felt as light as a feather, just as expected. My muscles were revitalized, my joints sturdy and my thoughts renewed with new ideas. To me, it wasn't just a long stretch sleep session to shed tiredness, it was a mark of a new beginning. The room looked emptier, like something I couldn't figure out yet had been pulled from it.The shadows from the curtains of the city lights dancing against the walls cast a certain heaviness to my eyes.Slowly, I let my eyes draw close, breathing in as hard as could from my lungs and letting it all out in a long gentle exhale. My nose caught the whiff of a scent that I was sure wasn't mine.It scented feminine. It scented like Lola.Letting my shoulders fall
CONNORPulling out of the parking lot, I drove straight ahead to THE THAIFARES, my go-to place for good s*x and a professional massage, away from the chaos of the industry and reality checks.I had a booking saved about a month ago, but I couldn't use it, because I suddenly got called in at the hospital. Now, above all reasonable doubts, was a good time.Aside from the fact that it was run by foreigners and they don't get a lot of American customers because of the language barrier, therefore deeming it safe for my reputation which I was going to protect at all cost, I wanted a good one.My waist was stiff and my groin hot against my pants. I needed to release, preferably into Lola, which was totally impossible at the time.Even if she was down, I wasn't going to give away how wild I could get in bed on our first hook-up. Not with the way I was feeling at the moment. After a thirty minute fast drive, I pulled my camouflage mask over my face as I pulled into the palace of disasters. The
