KAELION POV

I was extremely furious.

Furious at the situation and the pack maids for making such a careless mistake.

Seliora’s attitude didn’t come as a surprise but she did manage to piss me off. I knew she was a bitch who would seize any opportunity to torment me but it impressed me to see how fast she caught on.

She could tell in seconds that the shirt belonged to Misha and used the situation to her advantage.

I can still remember how I made the pack maids fold all Misha’s clothes in her room a few days after the burial ceremony and how I locked the room afterwards.

I was so broken but I wanted to keep all her things in place, it was all I had left. I wanted no one or nothing to have access to it.

“How could you make such a mistake?” I asked. “You all had just one simple task. All you had to do was look around the house and ensure none of her clothes were in the other rooms.”

I am sorry Alpha, I have no idea how the shirt got there,” Lisa, one of the oldest pack maids pleaded.

“Sorry does not cut it, Lisa!” I barked but seeing how terrified she looked, I took a deep breath and tried to calm myself. “ I want you to go into the new lady’s room and pack all the clothes in the wardrobe.”

“Yes Alpha,” Lisa answered.

“You should also get her some new clothes and essentials,” I added.

Lisa nodded her head and I watched as she walked away.

Seeing Seliora in the shirt was triggering for me but what triggered me the most was the fact that the shirt was one of Misha’s favourites.

It was a gift from me.

A gift I got her for her 20th birthday. She would always wear it at least once in two weeks and profess how much she loved me each time she had it on.

“Are you okay, Kaelion?” Jackson asked, snapping me out of my thoughts. “I heard about what happened with Seliora.”

“It’s all good, it was all just a mistake and it’s settled now,” I replied to him, walking away but the truth was I wasn’t okay.

For a moment, I saw Misha in Seliora and it brought back all the memories I had been trying so hard to forget.

I had invited Seliora to discuss the rules I wanted her to abide by but now I was too upset to even speak to anyone.

As I made my way towards my room, I paused for a while after reaching the door to Misha’s old room. Since I locked the door after the burial, I haven’t been inside.

I contemplated going to my room but decided not to. Maybe, just maybe entering the room would give me closure or help reduce the pain.

I slowly pulled out the key from my pocket and unlocked the door after much thought. My hands were trembling so much but I managed to push the door wide open.

I then walked into the room and shut the door behind me. The room was well arranged and the same as the last time I saw it.

Her clothes, shoes, and all her things were exactly where she liked to put them.

Misha was someone who loved to keep all her things in place.

“How can I ever get over this?” I mumbled, making my way towards her bed.

I gently sniffed her bedsheet as I recalled our last moments together. Our last conversation was about how she wanted to celebrate my birthday which was a few months away.

She could not stop talking about how much I was going to love the activities and gifts she had planned but what she didn’t know was that I had a bigger surprise for her, I was going to propose to her.

I was going to ask her to be my wife and officially be the Luna of the Obsidian Fang.

“I am so sorry I could not be there for you, Misha. I should have been there,” I murmured, rushing out of the room.

I just could not stay one more second inside the room, it was all so suffocating.

I locked the door and tried to catch my breath but my heart was beating too fast.

“Are you okay, Kaelion?” I heard Claire say as she rushed towards me.

“I am, I just….,” I stammered but she pulled me in for a hug before I could finish.

“You went into her room, didn’t you?” She whispered.

“It didn’t help, Claire. The revenge on the Ember fang pack was supposed to be a way for me to get closure, it was supposed to make me feel at peace but it instead made me worse. How am I supposed to live with all of this rage inside of me?”

I had tried my best to avoid breaking down in front of anyone but I was at my lowest.

I was tired of pretending I was handling it well.

“You are not the only one mourning her, Kaelion. You are not alone,” Claire said. “It’s okay to express your feelings and speak to someone, anybody.”

Her words managed to calm me down.

I slowly pulled away from the hug and thanked her for her help.

“I’m going to go get some breakfast, are you coming?” She asked.

“I will be down in a minute,” I replied to her.

I watched her walk away but I knew I had to do something to distract myself. I realised the countless nights I spent plotting my revenge against the Ember fang pack somehow helped take my mind off the grief.

“Alpha Thane,” I muttered.

Not only was it a great way a distract me, I desperately wanted to take him down.

“Playtime is over, Seliora. It is time for you to start what I brought you here to do,” I stated, making my way towards her room.

SELIORA POVI peeped from under the table to see who it was.It was Kaelion. He must have forgotten something and came to pick it up.I was frightened but managed to keep my cool, I could not let him find me here.“I was informed by the guards that you let Seliora go,” A voice whom I assumed to be Jackson’s said.He was with him.“Yes,” Kaelion responded to him just as he was about to turn towards where I was hiding.Seizing this opportunity, I quietly crawled away and tiptoed towards the shelf.“According to the doctor, she needed to get some rest. I could not just leave her in the cell for her condition to worsen,” Kaelion replied to Jackson while I peeped from where I was.“This is going to upset Claire. What if Seliora loses her cool and attacks her again?” Jackson stated, his voice filled with concern.“I have it all under control, besides it won’t be long till I get rid of Seliora,” Kaelion stated, taking more steps towards the table. He then opened one of the drawers and picked

SELIORA POVI had no regrets about what had earlier happened with Claire. I only saw an opportunity and decided to use it to my advantage.Claire’s action took me a bit by surprise though, she looked so innocent but now I knew exactly who she was.Her coming to see me was all a trick to provoke me which I fell for.“I know you don't trust me, I don't trust you either but it's really simple. I would have killed her way before you even intervened if I wanted to,” I said, looking at Kaelion. He said nothing afterwards and only walked away quietly while I wondered why he came to the cell in the place.“It probably makes him so happy to see me here,” I muttered, lying down on the blanket one of the guards had earlier given to me.This was my second night being taken captive under Kaelion’s pack and I still have not been able to make any significant progress. All my plans seemed to have either failed or backfired.“Fuck!” I stated angrily, standing up.Lying down was not helping, it only m

KAELION POVSeeing the proud look Seliora had on her face after almost murdering one of the closest people I had left made me fear I might have gone too soft on her.I needed to remind her that she was being taken captive here.“Go into your room and call the pack doctor. I will see you in a minute,” I stated, facing Claire. She nodded her head and walked away quietly while I wondered what to do with Seliora.“You would have killed her if I were not here to stop you,” I yelled, trying so hard to hold back my anger. If Seliora had hurt her, I would not have been able to forgive myself. “You disobey my rules every chance you get. You are going to get punished this time,” I growled.“Really,” Seliora simply responded. It seemed like she had something to say but I didn't want to hear whatever it was she had to say.“I was protecting myself from her, she attacked me!” She stated.I was sure there was no way Claire was lying to me, Seliora had to be the one lying.“Did you ask her for a wa

SELIORA POV“Where am I?” I mumbled, slowly opening my eyes. The last thing I remembered was collapsing in front of Kaelion while trying to talk to him. I managed to open my eyes completely and tried to sit up but I was too weak. I scanned the room with my eyes slowly and from what I could tell, I was in a hospital.“You are fine, you were brought here to the pack clinic by the Alpha,” I heard a voice say.“Kaelion,” I muttered in disbelief. He was the last person I imagined would bring me here.“Yes,” The pack doctor replied, walking towards me with a tray of food of water. “You have to eat, you are suffering from extreme exhaustion and starvation.”“How long was I out for?” I asked, taking the tray from him.“About six hours,” The doctor responded.“Wow,” I mumbled.“Eat up and rest, I will be back in three hours to check up on you,” The doctor said, walking away.I slowly opened up the plate which contained a bowl of food, some vegetables, and steak. “Smells good,” I whispered, t

  • SELIORA'S REVENGE; HER COMEBACK   chapter 17

KAELION POVThis didn't look like a trick or an attempt to fool me but if it was, she must be pretty good at acting.Without a second's thought, I picked her up and hurried towards the quarter where the pack doctor lives with Jackson right behind me.Whatever it was, I could not let her die. She was only useful to me alive.“Get her on the table,” The pack doctor who seemed to have sensed us coming instructed.I gently placed her down while watching the doctor examine her. For some reason, I hated to see her this way.It reminded me of how helpless I felt seeing Misha’s dead body.“What is wrong with her?” I inquired, running out of patience.“She is suffering from starvation and extreme exhaustion, Alpha. It seemed like she had not slept or eaten for a long amount of time,” The doctor explained.I knew Seliora was relentless and stubborn but I never thought she would succumb to starving herself. I felt sorry for chaining her and dragging her to the border but there was no way I could

  • SELIORA'S REVENGE; HER COMEBACK   Chapter 16

SELIORA POVThis was enough to prove that Kaelion might have been wrong about everything. He was so quick to assume this attack was from my father.Maybe he acted under annoyance and should have probably investigated the attack or maybe his mate’s death made him too delusional to even think things through.Either way, I loved his response and looked forward to making him suffer till he took his last breath. I had also hoped this was Father but I was not disappointed. I was sure he was doing everything he could to get me out of here. This was going to be a bit hard for him considering Kaelion wiped out all of our pack members and father’s men.“We have to go,” The familiar man who earlier came into the office to break the news of the attack to Kaelion announced standing right next to me.“You are his Beta right,” I muttered, looking sideways at him. “What is your name?.“Jackson,” He answered, coldly.“I am guessing Kaelion is also your friend,” I uttered. “What do you want?” Jackson
