SELIORA POV
I barely slept a wink the entire night and now it was morning. All I kept thinking of was more ways to make my plan work. I just wanted to get the hell out of here as soon as possible. Someone needed to be there for father and mother. The morning sun shining through the window blinds reminded me of how my mornings looked back home. The view from my room was just serene as it was right across the garden. I loved the soothing sound of water flowing and the vibrant flowers that bloomed each spring. By now, I would be training with some of the pack members while Thlaric would watch and cheer me from the sidelines each time I defeated my opponent. Thanks to Kaelion and his baseless accusations, I would never be able to have that again. Instead, I was stuck in a pack filled with psychos who would try to murder me each time they got. “Miss Seliora,” I heard a voice say. “The Alpha expects you to be down in twenty minutes.” I said nothing but could hear footsteps which faded after some time. As I stood up from the bed, I thought about my plan and strategies again. The plan was simple, all I needed to do was try to convince Kaelion I was on his side. I somehow have to make him think I was ready to help him but I knew the plan was not as simple as it seemed. Kaelion was one of the strongest and smartest people I have met. From the little time I have spent reading him, I could tell. I made my way into the bathroom to take a shower but I discovered there was no hot water, I had to bathe with cold water which I extremely hated. “This must give him so much joy,” I looked around, hoping to see if there was a towel around. Luckily, I found one by the corner which was packed and gently folded into a white transparent nylon. I then took off the white shirt I had on and slowly turned on the shower. I gritted my teeth in displeasure as the cold water ran down my spine. After a while, I turned the shower off and picked up the towel. I wrapped it around my body and walked out of the bathroom while folding my hair into a ponytail. After drying my body with the towel, I walked over to the wardrobe and scanned through it. None of the few clothes there was my style but I had to wear something. “This,” I muttered, picking out a black leather pants. I instantly put it on and paired it with the white shirt I picked up the following night. My hair was not fully dried but the twenty minutes Kaelion gave me were running out. If I wanted my plan to work, I had to avoid pissing him off. I walked out of the room and made my way towards the living room. I sighted him by the corner making a call as I walked in. He was dressed in brown pants with a white shirt which almost looked like the one I had on. “You wanted to see me,” I stated, walking closer to him. “You are early, that’s unexpected,” He muttered, but the minute he turned to look at me, he suddenly paused. I could hear his heart thumping so hard like it was about to jump off his body. It was like he had just seen a ghost. “What is he up to now?” I thought, trying to distract myself from how good he looked. The white t-shirt fitted him so perfectly and I just loved the overall look. It was simple and elegant at the same time. The mate bond has started to stir awake inside of me again. I struggled to concentrate but after realising he was walking closer and closer towards me without saying a word, I just could not. “Where did you get that?” He suddenly stated in a stern tone. “Get what?” I asked, feeling confused. “This shirt,” He responded almost immediately. “The room,” I muttered, wondering why a shirt would get him so worked up. “You have to take it off right now, it's not yours!” He demanded. Seeing how angry it made him to see me in the shirt, I assumed it probably belonged to his dead mate. “No!” I firmly stated. I loved how angry the situation made him and I wanted to provoke him even more. “Do not test me, Seliora. Go into the room, the pack maids will bring you something else to wear,” He stated, getting more and more agitated. “It must belong to her,” I muttered, looking directly into his eyes. It felt so good to see that something this small affected him so much. I loved that I was able to torment him. “All this would not be happening if you had just left me back at home. I didn't ask for any of this,” I stated. “I only want to go back home to my pack and my family but I do not even have a pack anymore, thanks to you.” “I knew it was going to be so hard to deal with you,” Kaelion stated, turning his back on me. He then called out to two of his men who were standing right by the door. “Escort her back to her room and make sure you stand by her door.” I didn't bother to struggle with his men. I walked away slowly with them but could hear him scolding the maids for not making sure all of Misha’s clothes were still in her room. “Misha,” I whispered to myself walking into the room. She had so much effect on him even though she was dead and in that moment, I realised something. He has a weakness and it was her. I thought to use this to my advantage but had no idea how.SELIORA POVI peeped from under the table to see who it was.It was Kaelion. He must have forgotten something and came to pick it up.I was frightened but managed to keep my cool, I could not let him find me here.“I was informed by the guards that you let Seliora go,” A voice whom I assumed to be Jackson’s said.He was with him.“Yes,” Kaelion responded to him just as he was about to turn towards where I was hiding.Seizing this opportunity, I quietly crawled away and tiptoed towards the shelf.“According to the doctor, she needed to get some rest. I could not just leave her in the cell for her condition to worsen,” Kaelion replied to Jackson while I peeped from where I was.“This is going to upset Claire. What if Seliora loses her cool and attacks her again?” Jackson stated, his voice filled with concern.“I have it all under control, besides it won’t be long till I get rid of Seliora,” Kaelion stated, taking more steps towards the table. He then opened one of the drawers and picked
SELIORA POVI had no regrets about what had earlier happened with Claire. I only saw an opportunity and decided to use it to my advantage.Claire’s action took me a bit by surprise though, she looked so innocent but now I knew exactly who she was.Her coming to see me was all a trick to provoke me which I fell for.“I know you don't trust me, I don't trust you either but it's really simple. I would have killed her way before you even intervened if I wanted to,” I said, looking at Kaelion. He said nothing afterwards and only walked away quietly while I wondered why he came to the cell in the place.“It probably makes him so happy to see me here,” I muttered, lying down on the blanket one of the guards had earlier given to me.This was my second night being taken captive under Kaelion’s pack and I still have not been able to make any significant progress. All my plans seemed to have either failed or backfired.“Fuck!” I stated angrily, standing up.Lying down was not helping, it only m
KAELION POVSeeing the proud look Seliora had on her face after almost murdering one of the closest people I had left made me fear I might have gone too soft on her.I needed to remind her that she was being taken captive here.“Go into your room and call the pack doctor. I will see you in a minute,” I stated, facing Claire. She nodded her head and walked away quietly while I wondered what to do with Seliora.“You would have killed her if I were not here to stop you,” I yelled, trying so hard to hold back my anger. If Seliora had hurt her, I would not have been able to forgive myself. “You disobey my rules every chance you get. You are going to get punished this time,” I growled.“Really,” Seliora simply responded. It seemed like she had something to say but I didn't want to hear whatever it was she had to say.“I was protecting myself from her, she attacked me!” She stated.I was sure there was no way Claire was lying to me, Seliora had to be the one lying.“Did you ask her for a wa
SELIORA POV“Where am I?” I mumbled, slowly opening my eyes. The last thing I remembered was collapsing in front of Kaelion while trying to talk to him. I managed to open my eyes completely and tried to sit up but I was too weak. I scanned the room with my eyes slowly and from what I could tell, I was in a hospital.“You are fine, you were brought here to the pack clinic by the Alpha,” I heard a voice say.“Kaelion,” I muttered in disbelief. He was the last person I imagined would bring me here.“Yes,” The pack doctor replied, walking towards me with a tray of food of water. “You have to eat, you are suffering from extreme exhaustion and starvation.”“How long was I out for?” I asked, taking the tray from him.“About six hours,” The doctor responded.“Wow,” I mumbled.“Eat up and rest, I will be back in three hours to check up on you,” The doctor said, walking away.I slowly opened up the plate which contained a bowl of food, some vegetables, and steak. “Smells good,” I whispered, t
KAELION POVThis didn't look like a trick or an attempt to fool me but if it was, she must be pretty good at acting.Without a second's thought, I picked her up and hurried towards the quarter where the pack doctor lives with Jackson right behind me.Whatever it was, I could not let her die. She was only useful to me alive.“Get her on the table,” The pack doctor who seemed to have sensed us coming instructed.I gently placed her down while watching the doctor examine her. For some reason, I hated to see her this way.It reminded me of how helpless I felt seeing Misha’s dead body.“What is wrong with her?” I inquired, running out of patience.“She is suffering from starvation and extreme exhaustion, Alpha. It seemed like she had not slept or eaten for a long amount of time,” The doctor explained.I knew Seliora was relentless and stubborn but I never thought she would succumb to starving herself. I felt sorry for chaining her and dragging her to the border but there was no way I could
SELIORA POVThis was enough to prove that Kaelion might have been wrong about everything. He was so quick to assume this attack was from my father.Maybe he acted under annoyance and should have probably investigated the attack or maybe his mate’s death made him too delusional to even think things through.Either way, I loved his response and looked forward to making him suffer till he took his last breath. I had also hoped this was Father but I was not disappointed. I was sure he was doing everything he could to get me out of here. This was going to be a bit hard for him considering Kaelion wiped out all of our pack members and father’s men.“We have to go,” The familiar man who earlier came into the office to break the news of the attack to Kaelion announced standing right next to me.“You are his Beta right,” I muttered, looking sideways at him. “What is your name?.“Jackson,” He answered, coldly.“I am guessing Kaelion is also your friend,” I uttered. “What do you want?” Jackson
