KAELION POV

Rex was getting away.

“I will be back, Kaelion. I will come to take what is mine,” He stated, swinging the door wide open while I continued to run towards the gate.

“Damn it!” I muttered as he ran out.

I then reached the gate but heard a loud thud before I could go after him.

“Rex,” I called out, looking out of the gate.

If Rex was right about this being a bigger conspiracy that Alpha Thane was a part of, it only meant I had a huge problem.

The one who orchestrated the plan to attack my pack was still out there.

“Found him,” I heard, Jackson say walking into the house while dragging Rex by the legs. “I also knew the one who attacked Zack would try to finish him off.”

I had never been happier to see Jackson.

“Shut the gate,” I muttered, staring at the guards.

Tonight was a full moon which meant I only had about two hours to get Rex to talk before transforming into my wolf form.

Rex would also be transforming. He would be much stronger than he is now.

“You will have to kill me, Kaelion, I will not say a word. You will only continue to wonder why Misha was killed, you will never get the answers you seek.”

“Tie him up,” I instructed, looking back at the guards behind him. “Do not let him escape!”

Afterwards, I walked towards the house. I needed to see and talk to Seliora.

Once again she has managed to save me despite her hatred for me.

I made my way to her room and knocked on the door.

She opened up almost immediately and walked out like she had been waiting for me.

“Has he talked? Did he tell you who he is working for?” She asked, walking outside. “I saw Jackson drag him in.”

“Where did you keep the stone, Seliora?” I asked.

None of the pack members could know there was a kysnite stone in the house especially in the hands of the one person whom they hated and blamed for the attack on our pack.

“You can’t take it from me, Kaelion. I have survived so many attempts to kill me by your pack. This is the only way I can make sure I get back to my family safely,” She answered firmly.

“As long as that kysnite is in this house, none of my pack members are safe. I have to get rid of it!” I insisted. “I will keep you safe, I promised to get you back to your family and I will.”

Although I understood Seliora’s concerns. The most important thing to me was ensuring my pack’s safety.

“I just saved you from being killed and the next thing you do is try to take the one thing that guarantees my safety,” She said, locking her eyes onto mine. “I’m not giving it up.”

“It’s the full moon tonight, we have to get Rex to talk if he transforms with the rest of us and escapes,” I muttered.

“Well you better hurry, the only way I am giving this back is when he talks and you let me out of this house,” She answered.

“You never believed I was going to let you go. Did you?” I asked, finally understanding why she was so adamant about keeping the stone with her.

“There’s no way I would ever be able to trust the one who murdered my pack,” She responded, walking away.

I followed behind her and we both went into the pack cell where Rex had been locked in.

It was one of the strongest cells we had but it still would not be able to hold him in his wolf form.

“You are helping him,” Rex said, staring at Seliora who stared right back at him. “Have you forgotten so easily his he tainted the floor of that ballroom with your pack’s blood of how he chained your little brother just to get you to surrender.”

“Trust me, I haven’t and I never will,” Seliora stated. “I just need to know where my father is and what big conspiracy this is.”

I was well Seliora would never be able to forgive me for what I did to her pack but hearing her say it made my heart sink.

“If I talk, he kills me and if I do not, Kaelion kills me. I am dead either way,” Rex said standing up from the floor. “The only regret I had was having to kill Lexi because she was beginning to figure it all out.”

I parted my lips to further convince Rex to talk but before I could, he pulled out a small bottle that he had tucked inside his shirt and gulped it.

“I will rather die than be your prisoner, Kaelion,” He stated right before he collapsed on the ground.

“No, you cannot let him die!” Seliora stated, as she struggled to open the cell gate.

I could recognise the poison Rex consumed from the colour. It was an ancient poison named necrium, which kills in an instant.

“It is over, Seliora. He’s gone. We only have one more person who could tell us all what this is all about.” I stated.

“Zack,” She muttered. “We have to talk to him right now.”

I hurried out of the pack cell with Seliora and we both made our way to the pack hospital.

“How is he now?” I asked the doctor who we ran into just by the door to the room Zack was in.

“I checked up on him ten minutes ago, and he is going to be fine. He just needs a lot of rest,” The doctor responded.

“I need to talk to him now,” I stated, storming into the hospital room, only to be met with an empty bed.

Zack was gone. He must have woken up and escaped while the guards were distracted.

“The window,” Seliora muttered. “He must have escaped through the window where I had earlier left it open.”

“Damn it,” I growled, feeling my anger surge as the full moon rose.

I was back to square one.

Maybe Rex was right. Maybe I would never be able to find out what really happened to Misha.

I opened it up and smiled at the moon which was now at its peak.Changing into my wolf form was the only way I could release the tension of the night.I soon felt my claws emerging and my senses heightened, just seconds later, I had turned.I let out a howl then launched myself out of the window. I then ran out of the pack gate which was open and began to run through the woods.Full moons were always my favourite.I made sure to avoid the obsidian pack members and stay as far away from them as possible. They were a pack while I was a lone w

SELIORA POV“Someone is here,” I whispered into Kaelion’s ear before slowly peeping into the hospital room.It was Rex.He was in the hospital room to finish what he started just like I had predicted.I could feel Kaelion’s heartbeat race as he leaned towards me and watched Rex make his way slowly towards Zack who was lying unconscious on the hospital bed.I could also feel his anger rising but this was not the time to act. I needed to see if there was anything Rex could do that which give me some clues about why he was doing this.“Stop!” Kaelion growled, rushing out of where we hid as Rex pulled a knife out of his shirt. He immediately gripped Rex’s hand while I watched the scene quietly.“I trusted you, Rex. Why would you betray the pack like this?” Kaelion asked, his voice a bit calmer this time.Rex didn’t look remorseful about what he had done. He only continued to struggle to release the knife in his hands.“Why!” Kaelion barked, finally taking the knife from him and swinging i

  • SELIORA'S REVENGE; HER COMEBACK   chapter 57

SELIORA POVI was completely sure of this. After Jackson had earlier announced Zack had been attacked, I was certain it must have been one of the guards.Back at my pack, there was a way I was able to determine whether a person was telling the truth or lying by listening to the sound of their heartbeats.I did the same to the guards as Jackson interrogated them about the incident. They all had slow and steady heartbeats which told me all I needed to know, they were speaking the truth. This then made me conclude the traitor was a person of a higher rank in the pack. This narrowed my options and left me with two options. Jackson and the head of the pack of soldiers, Rex.Asking Kaelion to call out all of the pack members was a way for me to search Rex’s room. The search was difficult, I had to unlock his room and hurry because he could be back in any minute. For the first two minutes, I kept searching but found nothing that could prove him guilty. Afterwards, I tried to make my way out.

KAELION POVI had nothing to do with what happened to Alpha Thane and since I would really love to explain to Seliora, I had bigger things to worry about.Jackson looked really worried.“The prisoner from the blood moon pack was attacked and almost killed in his cell,” Jackson stated. “I think this might be the same person who attacked Lexi.”“What!” I exclaimed, angrily.Enough was enough.Today was the day I was going to find whoever was doing this. The traitor in the pack had to die today.“How is he?” I asked, storming out of the office angrily with Jackson. “How did the person who did this pass through the guards without being caught?”“He is in the pack hospital. All the guards on duty have been tied down. They all claimed not to know what happened,” Jackson answered. “Whoever did this is not an ordinary pack member, he is someone who nobody would have suspected,” Seliora spoke behind me.“Gather all the pack members, Jackson,” I demanded, as we walked out of the house.Zack co

SELIORA POV“Seliora,” I heard, Kaelion call out to me while my head continued to spin. “Take deep breaths.”“I..do..not..think.. I..can,” I stuttered, running my hands through my hair.I was having an anxiety attack. The last time I had one was when my sister died years ago.“You are all right,” Kaelion said pulling me into a tight embrace while I just remained there. After a few minutes, I managed to calm down.“You good now?” He asked, breaking the hug.“Yes,” I replied, walking over to the phone which was still on the table.“Why..Father?” I asked, as my hands trembled. He has broken my trust in him. Not only that, I wondered if he was ever going to tell me the truth that Kaelion didn't threaten to kill me.He lied without hesitation.“Forgive me, Seliora. I will make sure to come get you,” He replied.“I said Why?” I yelled, picking up the phone. “You did this to our pack, you ruined everything. I defended you with all I had in me.”“It’s complicated, Seliora. I had to do it bec
