Chapter 50

Derek stood at the edge of his bed as he looked around for the hundredth time. He could swear that he was not dreaming or hallucinating when he kept his gold wrist watch on the bed right before he went out for breakfast yesterday.

His mind had been so occupied all through the day that he didn’t get to think of it. However, now that he did, he realized that the wrist watch was nowhere in view.

He quickly sent a call to Alexander and in a jiffy, they both stood in his room.

“I know what I’m saying! That wrist watch was right here in this room”, Derek explained, with red veins all around his face.

“You have to calm down and relax! We would certainly find it somewhere in this room”, Alexander said, but Derek scoffed and shook his head negatively.

“That wrist watch is not here. I’ve searched all around and you should remember that I am not careless neither do I have a short term memory!” Derek said in exasperation while Alexander nodded his head and drifted off in thoughts.
