Bullied and framed

Chapter 001 

The room became cold, a shiver graced my spine as Lisa brought out a small pocket knife, a dark smile played on her lips as shock waves rippled through me.

“No, you wouldn't” I chuckled slightly in shock as Lisa moved towards me with the pocket knife, edge shiny and sharp like diamond. I moved backward slowly watching her every move.

“Oh I would, Meliora”

“Nobody's happy that you're here, stop being so resilient and just die, everybody would be happy, mom. Fred. Me. The pack, can't you see how much everyone hates you?” She added, voice low, face closer, her words moved like lightning across my heart, I tried so much to hide the fear in my eyes, if she stabs me, mom wouldn't mind neither would Fred.

“I'd advise you to stop whatever you're doing Lisa” my voice came, rather shaky, there's no way I could fight her, she's stronger. Probably faster. No f**king way, I'd be gone in secodns…soon I heard footsteps, a sigh of relief escaped my lips, finally.

Lisa closed the remaining space between us, instinct struck as I held her pushing it to the wardrobe as we both struggled for the knife, “Lisa…stop” I muttered.

I tried hard to hold it to the walldrobe's door. Prayed someone came quickly…My hand pulled downward with a strong force and a scream followed.

My eyes widened in shock as Lisa fell to the ground with a loud thomp blood gushing out of her stomach.

Mum rushed in, eyes wide like they'd pop out as she ran to Lisa's bleeding body, I just stood. Like I'd fallen from the sky. Like I was in a movie that's been paused, no facial expression…just total absence from earth.

“Lisa? Lisa” mom called out to her, voice soft and nice, the type I'd never seen around me, my chest tightened.

I knew no one would believe me, yet I wanted to explain, I hoped she'd listen but nothing came out from my mouth that hung open.

I had this foolish thought that if I tried harder. Proved I could be the best. Explained and loved more. Maybe they'd finally see me.

Lisa just stabbed herself, and the knife? Stuck to my hands like they were fated mates “how could you? Liora, just how?” Mum screamed, bringing me back to the current world. The knife fell from my hands to the floor and Fred walked in, I gulped down nothing as he flew to Lisa's side.

My whole body waved like a heavy wind had passed as I shook my head frantically “I...I didn't mum, you have to believe me” I muttered staring down at Lisa's almost lifeless body.

I'd always known Lisa hated me but not to the point of hurting herself just to frame me “Lisa loves you so much, why'd you hurt her” Mum yelled, tears well up in her eyes as she stared at me…intense.

“You're so inhumane meliora” Fred spat and walked out of the room carrying Lisa, I heard him tell guards outside to call the pack's doctor.

“Mum you have to believe me, I…didn't I..swear…I” I muttered pulling mum's hand, a brain resetting slap graced my left cheek, I immediately held my cheek as it burned.

“Even lying on evidence, humph!” Mum ran after Fred and Lisa. Closing the door with a bang, she'd be so disappointed, all my trials to please her. Showing her I could be a worthy daughter just faded into thin air.

I saw my world crumble right in front of me, my knees caved in pulling me to the ground, my jaw tightened as tears rolled down my cheek like it got a free pass…I curled up on the floor hugging my knees.

They didn't give me a chance to explain, they never did, I'm always the bad one. Always the evil one…would it really hurt to believe me just once?

They've made it clear they didn't want me, Lisa was right afterall… my dress had soaked in her blood, my silk black curtain too, my bloody hands cupped my cheek as I sobbed quietly.

The sound of faint footsteps made me stand up, I'd continue till someone believed me. My door creaked open and confusion evaded me. It wasn't Fred or Mom, guards. What are they doing in my room, they'd entered without even knocking.

“Luna” they both bowed, Luna?! You'd entered my room without knocking, motherfuckers, what if I was changing…I'm just a piece of trash in my husband's pack.

“The alpha ordered you to be taken to the dungeon” my nostrils rejected air as I choked on my saliva, dungeon? No, that can't be true.

“You need to double check, it can't be the dungeon” my head moved sideways as I tried to fathom what they'd just said.

“We're sorry, Luna”

They both walked to me and pulled me by the arm walking out of my room, blood dropped from my dress staining the floor of the hallways.

Eyes fell on me, multiple. Asking questions, talking and for the first time I felt seen in my husband's pack…they saw me, I felt real. 

I scoffed looking down, I couldn't believe any of it, head down praying I'd wake up from this nightmare, I kept telling myself it wasn't real even if I didn't believe any of it. I tried to comfort myself. Tried to believe in myself.

And soon the dungeon came into view, dark and dangerous, dirty and rusty chains lay quietly on the floor, water dripping from the ceiling and making haunting thump sounds.

“I really didn't do it” I muttered sniffing.

They opened the dungeon and threw me inside, I felt people were there with me, I kept turning…the warmness dark places always gave didn't look good in the dungeon.

I curled up on one side of the dungeon staring at the guards watching me, my eyelids felt dry and heavy.

The sound of rumbling chains brought me back from my sleep, I jolted up immediately walking to the gate, Fred came closer and I sighed.

“I really didn't stab her, what'd I gain? I mean..please” I pleaded with Fred but his face reminded stern, like I was spouting rubbish.

“Seriously? The knife fell from your hand I walked in”

“That's because….”

“You're always on excuses, Lisa does more work in the pack, how could you hurt her, now she's lying unconscious, like you'd be able to handle what she does in the pack” Fred yelled, I'd done more work and she only takes credit.

She keeps taking credit, I've never cared about it, just want mom's love “why don't you ever believe me?” my shoulder shook, voice cracking as I questioned.

“There's never a reason to, meliora, you're always lying, did you stab her out of jealousy?” Fred asked, my fist tightened on the gate’s iron.

My face softened when mom joined him, her eyes plump and swollen from crying “Is she talking you into releasing her?” My shoulders fell as mom asked Fred, turning to me with hatred filled eyes.

“Lisa has lost 1.5 pounds of blood, she's in a critical condition and you won't even admit you did wrong?” I flinched as mum yelled.

I bit my lower lip hard trying not to break down, I couldn't stop the tears from falling.

“I've always tried my best to be the best daughter and Luna, so why'd I hurt her when I know you love her so much?” 

“Would you really prefer me dead? Huh? Why is it that you never see my hard work or how hard I try to earn your love? "I yelled, speaking up for the first time.

“You won't even admit your wrong and you're throwing a tantrum? Yeah I'd prefer you dead instead, I'd rather have a dog than a heartless girl like you are” Mum threw right at my face.

All my years of trying and working are all in vain, she doesn't see them and Lisa was damn right and I am fed up.

I ruffled my hair “alright I'd put an end to it, I meliora ashwylde is rejecting you Fred Salvatore as my chosen mate and alpha” the shock in Fred's eyes felt too good to watch, like I'd once meant something, something worth keeping.

Years of pushing myself to the peak for their love is coming to an end “I'm disowning you too, mother” 

“So what? If you even return to the Ashwylde family I'd make sure I cut off your legs, you can go live as a rogue once you're released” mum cursed and turned to the guards.

“Don’t let her leave this place against orders or you'd pay with your lives” mum rolled eyes at me waking away.

“You know how to beg me when you calm down” Fred smirked walking away.

A lump formed in my throat as I curled up on the floor, I'd divorced Fred and disowned mum, I no longer cared about their approval or love, and now? I'd be living for myself.

I'd run away from this place and no matter what happens it can never be the same…it's either good or worse.
