The killing stare

Alesha is grateful that Bianca and Steven want to understand her situation. But still, her heart swelled when she remembered that she didn't meet Steven's parents. Alesha leaned her head on the table and looked to the side with a puzzled look.

"Can you shut up, Bie? I'm lamenting my misfortune for failing to meet your parents. Even though Steven was willing to take the time, why was there a barrier to the meeting? God is so unfair! All this because of that annoying Director! What's more, I must go to his house this afternoon, or I'll be fired. Argh! I hate him!"

Alesha grumbled with a lifeless body, not in spirit, even though many documents were waiting to be done.

Bianca is concerned about their relationship and can't do anything either.

Even though Bianca suggested that Alesha resign from her job, she definitely wouldn't want to.

Alesha is used to being independent without depending on her family or the people around her.

Bianca patted Alesha's back, "Alesha, I'm just reminding you. Don't hate someone too much, or you'll feel the opposite way. There's a fine line between love and hate, and I don't want you to get hurt."

Bianca suddenly spoke seriously, making Alesya speechless at his words.

She straightened Alesha's body again. She didn't want to be dissolved in sadness. Moreover, Bianca's words seemed to be a complete satire for him.

"Bie, you don't worry. I won't betray your brother. You trust me, right?" Alesya looked at Bianca and held both hands expectantly.

Alesha's hands trembled at Bianca's words, 'Why are my hands shaking? Was my heart terrified of turning away from Steven? But it is impossible. We have been in a relationship for one year. Our love is not that fragile. God, keep my heart and heart together. I'm terrified.' Alesha thought.

Seeing Alesha, who was silent, Bianca hugged her. "You are my best friend. How could I not believe in you? Even if you are not matched with my brother, I will not blame you." Bianca replied with a smile. Here Bianca acts as a friend and is calmer when she is upset.

"Thank you, Bie. You want to understand my position. I will try not to disappoint you." Alesha said. Even so, her heart felt restless since she decided to work at Director Kinsley's Mansion.

Alesha suddenly thought that a lot would happen if she continued to be by Kinsley's side as if something had purposely connected her with Kinsley. Isn't this too ridiculous?

Her heart was beating fast for no reason. Alesha let go of Bianca's arms and looked away with her hands pressing against her chest. 'Why do I suddenly feel restless, sick, and hurt? This feeling of not knowing where it came from—was it because I was thinking about Director Kinsley? Why do I have this feeling even just thinking about it? Not! It isn't possible. I couldn't possibly be nervous just thinking about it. I must be tired, so I don't think clearly! Yes! It must be so!' Alesha thought to herself.

"Bie, I'm fine. Thank you for comforting me." Alesha smiled awkwardly and sat back down.

"Thank goodness you're okay. Since it's still working hours, I have to go back to my desk." Bianca said, and Alesha nodded. They returned to their work and forgot what was being said.

Time goes by so fast, and work hours are over. All employees and staff started to leave the office. Alesya and Bianca leave the office together. But something is different here. A black limousine was parked in front of the main door, and a driver was waiting for Alesya to come out of the office.

After seeing Alesha coming out of the office, the driver came to face him while bowing his head. "Miss Alesya, I am Mr. Kinsley's driver appointed to pick you up."

Bianca held Alesya's hands with a smile. "Alesha, go! You don't have to worry. I'll be nice to Steven about you. He will understand your position."

Alesha was relieved and smiled for the umpteenth time. "Thanks, Bie. I'll go first." Alesya replied and followed the driver to the car. The driver opened the door.

"Please, Miss Alesha."

Just as Alesya was about to enter the car, a silver car came from the end of the gate and stopped behind her. The car window opened, and Steven's face was seen watching Alesya get into someone else's car without knowing her arrival.

Steven was frantic. He hurriedly got out of the car and approached the vehicle Alesha was riding in.

Knock. Knock.

"Alesha, wait! What are you hiding from me?" Steven shouted. He knocked anxiously on the windshield.

"Steven!"

Alesha was surprised to see Steven outside the car, worried that Steven misunderstood her. Alesha opened the door that had been closed tightly and came out to Steven.

"Stev, sorry. I have a lot of work waiting for me. For now, I hope you understand and let me go."

Steven pulled Alesya and kissed her forehead, "Now you don't give me an explanation, I will understand. You go! And remember, I will always wait for you to return to me." Steven said soothingly while untangling Alesya's hair which was left loose.

From inside the office, Kinsley saw a scene that made him so annoyed and irritated, and subconsciously his hands clenched into fists to suppress the anger taking over him. With a glint of rage, he walked over to them.

"You guys seem affectionate. Does Miss Alesha like nasty things in public? Do you need my help to expose it?" Kinsley asked with a sharp look on Steven's.

Steven turned around. He smiled when he saw Kinsley coming towards him. "Director Kinsley, nice to meet you." Steven greeted Kinsley kindly, and he reached out with a smile.

"Mr. Steven Morgwen, a young officer, is standing in front of my office. Is it to see my staff?" Kinsley asked back, he accepted Steven's offer, and they shook hands.
