CHAPTER 82

As the creatures were scaling the walls of the castle, the soldiers were trying to shoot them down with their bow and arrows and they were successfully getting a lot of them, but there were more and more of them jumping across the fire lit mote.

The King grabbed my hand and he pulled me back towards the door and inside the castle.

We ran into a room that was full of weapons and I smelt something really familiar.

I started pulling the lids off of the barrels while the King was looking at me strangely until I found the powder that I was looking for.

“That’s what we use for the cannons.” He said.

“It’s gunpowder. Obviously very flammable.” I said.

“What do you suppose we do with it?” He asked.

“We can use this. We need to get them on the roof.” I said.

So he ordered some men to the storage room and they took several barrel’s to the roof and I grabbed as many cloth’s as I could find.
