Chapter Twenty Nine

Myla's POV

I could feel his anger coming through the bond. I didn’t care. I am an Alpha too. I will not feel like a prisoner in my own territory. I stalked up the stairs ignoring the stares from my pack.

“Myla?” Barrett called.

“Not now,” I snarled. I reached the door. I stormed inside slamming the door so hard I thought it would break. I heard Reiner come in a few minutes later. I heard him stomp through the suite. To my surprise, he didn’t come in here. I heard the door to the spare bedroom slam. “Fine,” I huffed, “He can stay in there forever.” A while later, Evie came in.

“Auntie Myla, I’m hungry.”

“Ok sweetheart.” I went to the kitchen. I made her eggs and toast with a nice cold glass of milk. No sign of Reiner. Whatever.

I sat down and watched cartons with Evie. I kept looking at the door to the spare room, but he didn’t come out. I tried to link him, but he pushed me out. “Fine, have it your way.” I took Evie down for lunch with the pack. After lunch, we went for a walk. I took
