LOGINCHAPTER 5
CHLOE’S POV
Immediately I got back from school, Vanezza called me and said she needed to talk to me.
“Chloe, I have something to say to you.”
“Okay, what is it? I’m all ears,” I replied. She hesitated for a moment before speaking again.
“Don’t you think… having a thing with the VIPs will be a great idea? I mean, it will bring a lot of money. For me… for you… for the house. We won’t have to struggle anymore. What do you think? I’ve been thinking about it for a while, so I decided to tell you.”
My expression hardened immediately.
“Oh, no. You should have kept that to yourself,” I replied bluntly. “Mr. Sebastian is the first and the last person I ever vowed to do that with. I will never do it again!. What has come over you? Huh? Isn’t the stripping job enough for us?”
My voice rose with anger.
Without waiting for her reply, I walked straight into the restroom and slammed the door behind me.
The moment I locked it, my tears burst out.
I cried quietly, remembering everything that had happened that night. Every moment came rushing back, the way he touched and handled me only made the tears fall harder.
And now she still wanted us to do more!?
“No, I’m not doing that again,” I whispered to myself.
“Never, not again.”
I splashed water on my face repeatedly, trying to calm down.
All I could hear her saying from outside was that she didn't mean it ,but I didn’t respond.
By the time the sun disappeared and darkness swallowed the day, it was time to leave for the club again.
I hadn’t slept well. I hadn’t rested at all. But survival doesn’t care about exhaustion.
I didn’t even plan on going that night, but I didn’t have a choice.
“Get dressed. It’s almost time,” Vanezza said as she stood in front of the mirror applying makeup.
I slowly got up, feeling drained.
I freshened up and wore a short black dress with a deep opening around the chest area. After that, I grabbed my bag and slipped into my heels.
But tonight, I decided not to wear makeup.
“Chloe? No makeup?” Vanezza said, pulling me back slightly to look at my face.
“Yeah. I don’t feel like wearing any,” I replied, already walking toward the door.
“Chloe! Wait for me!”
She quickly grabbed her bag and rushed after me.
When we got to the club, the music was already loud and the lights were flashing everywhere.
We began our usual routine.
But tonight, I stayed to one side, quietly observing the crowd.
My eyes kept scanning the room. I was searching for one person.
The man from that night.
If he was here, I wanted to avoid him at all costs.
“Yo, aren’t you going to dance?” Vanezza said as she walked over to me. “Go meet someone! We didn’t come here to stand around.”
I glanced around one more time to be sure he wasn’t there.
Then I joined the crowd.
I danced with different men as they sprayed money, pretending everything was normal.
Pretending nothing had changed.
After hours of music and noise, the party slowly died down.
Then suddenly the rain started.
A very heavy and cold rain. The kind that felt like it could freeze your bones.
People began leaving quickly.
Some entered expensive cars, some walked away in groups while some followed their companions into the dark night.
I tried calling Vanezza, she didn’t answer.
I searched everywhere with my eyes but couldn’t find her.
Minutes later the club became almost empty.
I sighed.
I had no choice. I would have to go home alone.
I slipped my phone into my bag, removed my heels, and held them in my hand like I was preparing to run if anything happened.
“Hmm… where could she be?” I muttered as I looked around one last time.
But she was nowhere.
The moment I stepped outside the club, the street felt silent dark and cold.
The thin dress I wore barely protected me from the wind.
I shivered as I began walking slowly down the road.
Step by step, hoping to reach home quickly.
Then suddenly a bright flashlight from a car hit my face. I squinted, trying to see who it was.
But the light was too strong. I turned away and continued walking, pretending to ignore it.
The car slowly followed me.
Then it stopped right in front of me.
“Chloe?”
My heart skipped the moment I heard his voice.
“What are you doing here?”
“This late? Dressed like this?”
“Where are you coming from?”
My stomach dropped.
It was Xavier, of all people.
He was standing right in front of me.
“Erm… I… I…” I stammered, struggling to find something to say.
I was shivering , not only from the cold but from panic.
“Come in,” he said gently. “Let me take you home.”
“No… I’m fine. Don’t worry,” I replied quickly. But he shook his head.
“No, you’re not.”
“I’m taking you to my house. When morning comes, you can go wherever you want. You’re freezing.”
He looked at me seriously.
“Do you want to fall sick?”
Before I could refuse again, he gently guided me into the car.
It had been years since I last sat inside a car like this.
The warmth inside immediately wrapped around me.
“Are you sure you’re okay?” he asked again.
“Why are you dressed like this?”
“Did you go to a party?”
He kept asking questions.
Too many questions.
My head started spinning. “I’m fine!” I replied harshly
“Enough of the questions please!”
He blinked in surprise. “I’m sorry,” he said quietly.
The rest of the ride became silent.
Soon the car stopped in front of a massive mansion.
My eyes widened in disbelief.
The place where I lived wasn’t even as big as his security house.
Not even close.
“Oh my God…” I whispered to myself.
This guy was unbelievably rich.
I stood there staring at the house in pure amazement.
If I lived here,my life would be completely different.
“Hey,” Xavier said, tapping my shoulder. “Let’s go inside”
I have a small awkward nod and followed him.
We walked into the living room.
The place was enormous, elegant and expensive.
“Dad, I’m back!” Xavier called out.
Then he turned to me.
“Meet my dad. Dad, meet Chloe.”
The moment his father heard my name, he slowly turned around.
The cup of coffee in his hand slipped slightly.
And the moment I saw his face, my entire body froze.
My heart stopped beating for a while .
“Sebastian Whitmore!”
I stumbled backward in shock.
“Your… dad?” I whispered.
Oh my God.
Without thinking, I turned and ran out of the house immediately.
Because the man standing in front of me was the same man I had a night stand with.
And the worst part?
He was Xavier’s father!.
CHAPTER 6CHLOE’S POV The moment my foot stepped out of the mansion, I ran. I didn’t stop. I just kept running and running. After a moment, I bent over, clutching my chest as I tried to catch my breath.“No… no… no…”This can’t be what I’m thinking.“Sebastian Whitmore?” Xavier’s father? No, this must be a dream. It can’t be true.I stood in the middle of the road, confused and questioning myself.“What have I done?”“No. No!”He didn’t recognize me. No, Chloe, calm down.Take a deep breath, then move slowly.I said as I tried calming myself down. But nothing changed. I kept whispering words filled with regret.“No,it can’t be”I dragged my fingers through my hair in frustration, pulling at it as panic filled my chest. Then I ran back home in frustration. The moment I reached the entrance of my house, I started banging the door in fear, like someone was chasing me.“Open the door!” I shouted, tears streaming down my face.It was just 3 a.m. The sun wasn’t even thinking of rising yet.
CHAPTER 5CHLOE’S POVImmediately I got back from school, Vanezza called me and said she needed to talk to me.“Chloe, I have something to say to you.”“Okay, what is it? I’m all ears,” I replied. CHAPTER 4CHLOE’S POVThe next morning, after the whole shock about the money, Vanezza and I spent some time planning on how I was going to spend it.I woke up early, got dressed for school, and took a few bundles of cash from the bag before leaving the room. For the first time in a long while, I felt a small sense of relief.I could finally pay my tuition in the first week of resumption. This was something I had never experienced before , i had always been the last person in my department to pay my tuition. Sometimes I even had to beg for more time. But this time, I cleared everything.Every last bit of it.After the stressful night, I finally made my way to school. It was the beginning of a new session. Students were everywhere, laughing, greeting each other, and looking refreshed.Almost every face looked bright and well-rested,except mine.Mine looked tired and overworked. We had our first class for the session, and everything was going smoothly until my eyes started getting heav
CHAPTER 3CHLOE’S POV“VANEZZA! VANEZZA!”The moment I pushed the door open, the words burst out of me.My mind was overflowing with things I needed to say. Thoughts, fear, excitement, guilt and everything was tangled inside my chest.“VANEZZA!”She jerked awake like someone had just set off an alarm.“Yes?! Yes?! What happened?”She sat up quickly, looking around the room like someone was chasing us.I quickly grabbed her shoulders.“Calm down. Calm down.”I patted her arm as she tried to steady her breathing.“It’s nothing.”She yawned loudly, clearly annoyed, and tried to lie back down.“Don’t sleep.”“Vanezza!”I quickly opened my bag and pulled out the bundles of cash.“This is money! This is money!!”I spread the bundles across the bed. She rubbed her eyes slowly, still half asleep, trying to focus. Then she froze. Her eyes widened.“Huh?”She picked up one bundle.“Where did you get all this from?” She started counting quickly, her shock growing with every bundle.“This can’t b
CHAPTER 2CHLOE’S POVMy fingers lingered at the hem of my dress. For a minute, guilt washed over me again. Not loud not dramatic.Just quiet. My heart felt heavy. The kind that creeps in when the room gets silent. My chest tightened, why was I hesitating? Was I supposed to suffer day and night instead? Was I supposed to sit back and wait for someone to save me?I had no helpers. No one paying my bills, no one checking if I ate. I was on my own.Survival doesn’t come with pride,it comes with choices. And this was one of them.“Come on,” he said impatiently. “Pull it off.”He stepped closer, his eyes traveling slowly over my body like he was already unwrapping me.His fingers reached for the strap of my dress.“Nah, I can do it myself,” I said quickly, gently removing his hand.He paused for a while, then his expression hardened.“Then be fast about it.” His tone changed, it was sharper now.“Why are you acting sluggish like you’re doing me a favor?” he continued. “You don’t need the
CHAPTER 1CHLOE’S POVThe music was loud enough to drown guilt. The lights were bright enough to hide shame. But nothing could hide the way he was watching me.“Hey, girl. That man over there calls for you.”The club worker pointed toward the VIP section, where the real money sat in leather chairs and expensive suits.I took a slow sip of my drink before turning.“Me?”“Yes. You.”My stomach tightened. It was my first time being called to the VIP section. Curiosity pushed me forward before fear could stop me.When I reached the table, I saw him.He was older, much older. Thick gold watch, Heavy rings. The kind of man who didn’t need to raise his voice to be obeyed.“Hey, baby girl,” he said, gripping my waist and pulling me closer. My breath caught for a second, but I didn’t pull away.I had learned not to.Everything about him screamed money. The watch, the rings. Even the way he sat felt expensive.Being called to his table wasn’t just attention, it was opportunity.I wasn’t stupid
