Gianluca Martelli

Gianluca Martelli, an Italian Mafia lord based in New York could be seen making his way out of his company and into the car that was waiting for him.

He was a handsome man with deep blue eyes that reminded one of the deep blue seas. He was built like a demigod, with height-6'5. He had a chiseled jawline too. His eyebrows were neatly carved. His light skin which was almost pale did well in complimenting his deep blue eyes.

He was tagged by the media as cold and inhumane. Others tagged him as the blue-eyed devil, but all that did nothing to bother Gianluca Martelli. As long as the media didn't give any disturbing news about him.

He was used to it. He has been used to it for almost a decade now.

A few minutes later, the car pulled up in front of his mansion, Luca's Mansion, as the media named it. The mansion was a five storey building, that was situated in the middle of New York City.

He got out of the car and was greeted by his housekeeper, Lucia, a forty-nine-year-old dark skin lady, who had been together with them for as long as he could remember.

She was his mother's best friend and his nanny when he was young. She was also his sister's nanny.

"Welcome home Luca" She took his briefcase from him.

"How was your day?" She asked, knowing full well that Luca wouldn't answer her. He just nodded his head, as he made his way to the stairs.

A call came in from his phone. He glanced at the caller ID, to see that it was Doctor Nathan. The man had been their family's doctor

He picked up the call.

"Nathan"

"What news do you have to tell me?" He added.

"Mrs. Matilda woke up a while ago, and wouldn't stop asking after you," Said Doctor Nathan.

Gianluca exhaled. "I'll come there next week, I am a bit preoccupied these days. Can you please give her sedatives that will make her sleep till I get there next week?"

"Am afraid sedatives only do her more harm than good. It makes her go wild"

"I know, but please just do it. It's for the best"

Doctor Nathan sighed. "If you say so". With that, he ended the call.

Gianluca felt pain. His mother was in the hospital battling insanity, while the sick bastard who was responsible for his mother's predicament was living his life.

Heaven knows what he would do to the person, but one thing was that he didn't know who it was. He didn't know who the bastard was.

His mother, sister, and pregnant fiancee had all gone to have a good time together. They had no idea that someone had cut the brakes of his fiancee's car.

He still remembered the way his fiancee's body was scattered all over the place. Her arms and legs. It wasn't a sight to behold.

All the doctors he had hired to treat his mother, kept saying the same thing. His mother had hit her head terribly and no treatment would work for her.

He didn't know the sick bastard that did that to him and not knowing who it was, was driving him crazy. But one thing was certain. The person was trying to get back at him. He didn't know who and why.

He had a lot of enemies. As a mafia lord, he was bound to have enemies.

The mafia world was never a place to keep wives and children as rivals would want to use them as baits. But he couldn't help it when he fell in love with Nivea. Who wouldn't fall for such a gentle soul like hers?

He exhaled as he dragged himself towards the bathroom to freshen up.

A few minutes later, he got out of the shower and dialed a number on his phone.

The person picked up at the first ring. It was as if she was waiting for the call. Luca rolled his eyes.

"Long time no see Gianlu…,"

"To my house this instant," He said, cutting her off. He ended the call immediately. He was not one to give a preamble. As a businessman, he was trained to go straight to the point.

Whenever he wanted to lose himself to a woman, Selena Fabian was his next option. She was a model, a first-class bitch as the media tagged her.

They said she was a proud bitch, but Gianluca didn't give a fuck. At least she hasn't acted out of hand around him. He would dump her like he did his other sluts.

He should have dumped Selena Fabian already, but he didn't. Not because he couldn't. He didn't want to. She was useful to him to some extent, even though she had no idea.

There was something about her luscious body that he couldn't get enough of.

They have been together for a while now, for close to three years, after the death of his fiance.

************

Carine cried for the umpteenth time. She can't tell how long she has been in this dark place.

She was in pain, especially the one on her leg where that psycho had shot her. They didn't bother to treat her.

Regret washed over her. She shouldn't have listened to that voice that asked her to run. She should have ignored it. Now see where it had landed her.

Her hands were tied behind her back, and so were her eyes. She couldn't see anything or anyone, but she could feel those psychos eyes on her.

"I want to pee". She told them, more like whispered. She had lost her voice already because she had been shouting for them to let her go.

She needed no soothsayer to tell her that the men would never allow her to go alone, not after she attempted to run away earlier.

"You can pee on your body, you know". She heard a voice say to her.

She stilled when she heard that voice. She recognized his voice. When did he come in?

"What do you want from me, you monster?" She asked again.  She was scared shitless but she won't let it show.

She knew he smirked. Asshole.

"Let's make a deal," He told her.

"Go fuck yourself, you idiot" She screamed.

Luca smirked. He loved fierce girls.

"Call me when she's ready" She heard him say to one of the men.

"Yes boss"

"Get me out of here you monster" She yelled.

"If I were you, I'd  stop screaming already, cause your voice…" The man said.

Carine scoffed.  "You are not me, and I ain't you, got it?"

"For someone who has been through hell all her life, you do have a sharp mouth" The man repeated.

Carine gasped. How did he know? It made her wonder what other things they knew about her.

"Please, I want to pee," She begged. This man wasn't ready to listen to her, she better begs him.

Five minutes. Eight minutes. Ten minutes.

"Lose her" The man ordered.

She felt grateful. Her eyes were free too. She noticed the weal on her arms.

Fresh tears came to her eyes again. This was her life now. Her family may have done bad things to her, but she could swear that she preferred it to this new life where she was treated like some puppy.

Back home, she knew what they were capable of doing. At least she knew her family would never kill her.

'How true is that?' Her subconscious scowled at her.

This new place was so… It left her speechless. She was living with fear. She didn't know what they would do to her next.

One of the men took her to where she would ease herself. The funny thing was that the man didn't leave. He stayed in the bathroom with her.

Guess they thought that she might escape again. When she saw that he wasn't ready to leave, she bent and did her business.

What surprised her was that instead of the man taking her back to where she was earlier, he took her to a different place.

They were even taking the stairs. What was going on?

"Where are you taking me to?" She asked him.

The man didn't reply. One thing she has come to notice was that all the men were rude and arrogant, especially that horse face.

They reached the front of a door. The man opened it and gestured for her to go in, which she did.

She was amazed by the room. A queen-sized bed lay in the middle of the room. There were different doors, which she guessed could be the bathroom and the closet.

"What are we doing here?" She asked, even though she knew she wouldn't be getting any answer.

"You should be grateful that the boss has agreed to give you a room. He has never done that before. He is never one to show any kindness to strangers"

The man told her as he made for the door.

Carine rolled her eyes.

"Enjoy your new room"

Before she could register what he said, he locked the door behind him.

She limped to the door and banged on it. "Get me out of here, you idiot"

Of course, they couldn't hear her. The walls were soundproof.

After a while of yelling and screaming,  she gave in to the cold hands of sleep.

************* Next morning**************

From the way his forty-nine-year-old beautiful housekeeper was glaring at him, Luca could tell that something was wrong. She was the only one who wasn't scared of him. She was his nanny after all. He and Sophia's nanny. She was his mother's best friend too.

"What?" He asked as he dabbed his mouth with the serviette.

"Who is she?" Lucia asked.

"Who?" He asked.

Lucia hissed. "Don't fucking pretend to me Gianluca"

Luca sighed. "She's my property"

Lucia frowned. "Property?"

"Yes. Her brother owes me a huge amount of money and wouldn't pay, so I took his sister instead. Whenever he's ready to pay, he should come and get his sister"

Lucia sighed. "That's mean. You should have taken the man instead, and not punished the poor girl for the sins of her brother"

Luca scoffed. "Are you being real?"

"That's mean. I am sure if your mother was here, she wouldn't support you"

"She is not here. Anyways, I'm off to work" With that, he walked out of the house with his men trailing behind him.

Lucia exhaled. She should not have brought the topic up. She should have allowed him to finish his meal.
