Chapter Seven

There was a light knock-on doctor’s Dave’s door, “come in” Dave said, as he rand his hand through his hair.

The door opened, as it revealed Patricia, she walked in, and closed the door

“oh, it’s you” Dave sounded disappointed to see her “so what do you want?”

“you didn’t…” Patricia took a deep breath, “I came to inform you that there would be a little celebration for Christopher, the teenage patient. I’ve informed all the other staffs, so I thought I should at least inform you before tomorrow”

“at least in form me!” Dave’s demeanor changed “why I’m I just hearing about this? You informed all the staffs, and you told me last”

“I didn’t think it was a big deal”

“big deal! Did you put other patients into consideration? That this may make them uncomfortable, this is a hospital, not a club, for Christ sake” Dave slammed his hand on his desk

“I’ve informed all the patients, so they are well informed sir”

“it seems you have everything sorted out without me, so apparently I’m insignificant in this hospital, so why did you come to tell me, to fulfill all righteousness?”

“it’s not liked that sir, well I’m sorry, like I said earlier I didn’t think it was a big deal, it won’t happen again”

“I hope so” Dave flips through a book on his desk

“so?” Patricia shrugged

“you’ve gone far with your plans, what could I possibly say? Just do what you feel like”

Patricia rolled her eye balls, “thank you Dave” then she turned back, and headed for the door

Patricia opened the door to the vacant room, where she left Priscilla, she walked in, and saw Priscilla lying on the bed. Priscilla sat up, with an inquisitive gave on her face, as Patricia closed in on her.

“you’ve made the arrangement?” Priscilla gave pout

“yes, I have, great right?” Patricia’s face lightened up instantly

“yes”

“you don’t sound so happy to hear the news” Patricia smirked, as she went to seat on the bed

“I’m still having second thoughts” Priscilla tapped her knees with her fingers

“second thoughts! On what, the birthday?’

“yes, the birthday, I’ve never seen a birthday celebrated in a hospital, I don’t know what to expect, and how Christopher will take it, cause if we get it wrong, he’ll be scared for life”

“we won’t know unless we try, I’m always meticulous about everything, so let me see the spontaneous side of me in action” Patricia smiled, slightly, “I’m sure he’ll like it, considering you will be there”

“me!” Priscilla tilted her head to face Patricia

“yes, I’ve seen the way he looks at you, and you to him, it’s obvious you two have a thing for each other, so I reckon he’d be pleased to see you on his special day, knowing that you were among the organizers”

“alright, I’m in, let’s do this” Priscilla clapped her hand twice, as if trying to get momentum

“that is the spirit, let’s get to work, first of the cake, what is his favorite color?”

“blue, with white”

“that is perfect, it won’t be hard to get a blue and white cake, now do you know about two people who are close to him, that he’ll be pleased to see? Like friends”

“yes, I can think two guys who he does thing with”

“that is great, you would also invite them”

“alright ma’am” Priscilla smiled, and nodded her head.

“that would be all for now, I’ll cover the rest” Patricia stands up from the bird “thank you for agreeing to do this, I’m sure Christoph would be so pleased

“you called him Christoph!” Priscilla’s eyes widened in shock

“yes, why?” Patricia’s gaze was puzzled

“no…nothing” Priscilla said evasively

“sure?”

“yes, I am” Priscilla gave a reassured smile

“alright, bye, hope to see you tomorrow” Patricia said as she headed for the door with Priscilla following behind her.
