Sally's POV

I smiled sadly while tears slowly streamed down my face.

Ryan wrapped his warm, comforting arms around me, silently telling me that he was here and he wasn't going anywhere. Pressing his lips to my temple, he didn't let go, he waited until I was ready to speak.

“That was the last letter my grandfather wrote.” I took shaky breaths. “His scent still lingers,”

This wasn't a wound-opening moment, this felt like the reconciliation I needed.

There were two big files for me to dig through and what surprised me was that those files belonged to my cousin. Oliver and Arnav.
