The night was dark and quiet as Elara walked through the forest, her wolf form moving with grace and ease. She was on her way to the Sacred Circle for her training with Selene when she heard a rustling in the bushes.

She stopped, her ears perked up, her senses on high alert. She could feel another werewolf nearby, but this one was different—his scent was unfamiliar, not from any pack she knew.

A man stepped out of the bushes, his hands raised in a gesture of peace. He was tall and muscular, with dark hair and piercing green eyes. There was a dangerous edge to him, a sense of wildness that made Elara's wolf stir.

"Elara Blackwood," he said, his voice deep and smooth. "I have been looking for you."

Elara shifted back to human form, her guard up. "Who are you?"

"Alexander Knight," he said. "A rogue werewolf."

Elara's eyes narrowed. Rogue werewolves were outcasts, often dangerous and unpredictable. "What do you want with me?"

Alexander smiled, a slow, dangerous smile. "I have information about your parents."

Elara's heart skipped a beat. She had spent her entire life wondering about her parents, about why they had died. "What information?"

"Your parents were not just ordinary werewolves," Alexander said. "They were part of a secret organization that fought against Viktor Bloodworth. They were trying to stop him from unleashing an ancient evil."

Elara's eyes widened. "What ancient evil?"

"A powerful being that feeds on the energy of supernatural beings," Alexander explained. "Your parents discovered Viktor's plan to release it, and they tried to stop him. But they were betrayed."

"Betrayed? By who?"

"By someone in the Silver Moon Pack," Alexander said. "Someone close to your parents."

Elara felt a chill run down her spine. There was a traitor in the pack, someone who had helped Viktor kill her parents.

"Why are you telling me this?" she asked.

Alexander's expression softened. "Because your father was my alpha. He saved my life when I was a pup. I owe him a debt."

Elara looked at him, studying his face. There was a sincerity in his eyes that she could not deny. "What else do you know?"

"I know that Viktor is planning something big," Alexander said. "He is gathering his forces, and he is looking for you. He knows you are the Chosen One."

Elara's heart raced. Viktor knew about her destiny. "How do you know all this?"

"I have been spying on Viktor for years," Alexander said. "I know his plans, his weaknesses, his allies."

Elara considered his words. She did not know if she could trust him, but he was offering her information about her parents and Viktor's plans. "What do you want in return?"

Alexander smiled. "I want to help you. I want to avenge your parents."

Elara nodded. "I will think about it."

Alexander handed her a piece of paper with his phone number. "Call me when you are ready."

With that, he turned and disappeared into the forest.

Elara stared at the piece of paper in her hand, her mind racing. She did not know if she could trust Alexander, but he had given her information that no one else knew. She needed to tell Selene about this.

Later that night, Elara told Selene about her encounter with Alexander. Selene's expression was grave.

"Alexander Knight is a dangerous man," she said. "He was once the alpha of a powerful pack, but he lost everything when his pack was destroyed by Viktor. He has been a rogue ever since, living by his own rules."

"But he says he wants to help me," Elara said.

"He may be telling the truth," Selene said. "But you must be careful. Rogues are unpredictable, and Alexander has a reputation for being ruthless."

Elara nodded. She would be careful. But she could not ignore the information he had given her. She needed to find out who betrayed her parents, and she needed to stop Viktor.

The next day, Elara was patrolling the borders when she saw Damon approaching. He looked tense, his jaw tight.

"I heard you met with a rogue last night," he said.

Elara's eyes widened. How did he know? "Yes. His name is Alexander Knight."

Damon's jaw tightened. "He is dangerous, Elara. You should stay away from him."

Elara frowned. "He has information about my parents."

"Information or not, he is a rogue," Damon said. "He cannot be trusted."

Elara felt a surge of frustration. Damon was being overprotective, and she did not like it. "I can take care of myself, Damon."

Damon's eyes hardened. "I am the Alpha King. I have a responsibility to protect my pack, including you."

Elara's heart skipped a beat. Damon had just referred to her as part of his pack. That was a significant change from how he had treated her before.

"I appreciate your concern," she said. "But I need to find out the truth about my parents."

Damon's expression softened. "I understand. But please, be careful."

Elara nodded. "I will."

As Damon walked away, Elara could not help but notice the way he looked at her. There was a protectiveness in his eyes, a concern that she had not seen before. It made her wonder if he was starting to care about her again.

Later that day, Elara called Alexander. "I want to meet," she said.

"I thought you would," Alexander said. "Meet me at the old warehouse on the edge of town."

Elara arrived at the warehouse later that night. Alexander was waiting for her, leaning against a wall, his arms crossed.

"What do you know about the traitor?" she asked.

Alexander smiled. "I know who it is. But I want something in return."

"What do you want?"

"I want to join your fight against Viktor," Alexander said. "I want to avenge my pack."

Elara considered his offer. She could use his help, but she did not know if she could trust him. "Tell me who the traitor is first."

Alexander nodded. "The traitor is Marcus Reed."

Elara's eyes widened. Marcus? Damon's beta? That was impossible. "You are lying."

"I am not," Alexander said. "Marcus was working with Viktor to take down your parents. He wanted power, and Viktor promised him a place in his new world."

Elara shook her head. She could not believe it. Marcus was Damon's closest friend, his most trusted advisor. He could not be a traitor.

"Why should I believe you?"

"Because I have proof," Alexander said. "I have recordings of Marcus meeting with Viktor. I have documents that prove his involvement."

Elara felt her world spin. If Marcus was a traitor, then the pack was in danger. Damon was in danger.

"I need to see the proof," she said.

Alexander nodded. "I will get it to you. But you must promise to let me help you."

Elara hesitated, then nodded. "I promise."

As she walked back to her apartment, Elara's mind was racing. If Marcus was a traitor, then everything she knew was a lie. She needed to find out the truth, and she needed to protect Damon.

But first, she needed to see the proof. She needed to be sure that Alexander was telling the truth.
