ASTRID

The room was a storm of chaos. I had been trying to focus on anything other than the two men tearing my room apart. Atlas and Magnus, two Alpha wolves whose rivalry had become unbearable, I had seen them clash before, but this was the first time I had seen them clash.

"Stop it! Stop it, both of you!" I screamed, but the noise of their battle swallowed my voice. The sound of fists connecting with flesh and the crash of furniture falling apart was overwhelming. My bed, my dresser, even the ornate mirror I'd loved so much, all shattered under their violence.

I darted forward, desperate to intervene, to stop the madness before it consumed them both. But as I reached out, I felt a sharp pain rip through my arm. I stumbled backwards, clutching the wound as blood seeped between my fingers.

"Argh!" The scream tore from my throat, and the room froze.

Atlas was the first to react. He turned, eyes wide with horror, as he saw the blood dripping from my hand. "Astrid—"

  • THE ALPHA WHO SAVED ME WITH HIS MATE BOND   TOTAL SURRENDER

MAGNUSI watched everyone troop into the hall as I tried to calm my fears. It wasn't anything special or new because I somehow managed to become a paranoid mess every night of a full moon. And it mostly had a lot to do with the fact that most packs had been invaded and wiped out on nights like this.I took a deep breath and pushed the last thought aside as I straightened, then cleared my throat inaudibly. “Good evening, all," I began steadily, my eyes darting over them. "The silver globe shall soon hang above us all, but we have prepared for this night.""Yes!""We have!"They all replied, and I waited until their voices died down before continuing."I have great confidence in our defenses, and I believe we'll all meet here again tomorrow without any accidents."They all cheered happily, but I could tell most of them were already feeling the effects of the night because I'd seen them yawn and their postures slack. "Let us live out this full moon together as a family," I continued. "Th

  • THE ALPHA WHO SAVED ME WITH HIS MATE BOND   A DROP OF INSIGHT

ASTRIDSamantha and another servant told me what happened when Cayon's knock rang out."The alpha wants you to come with me," he'd said calmly, but I looked at the scratch on his face to know that calm was the last thing he felt. And as we all rushed downstairs towards Magnus' office, I could already tell something was happening."He wouldn't let me hit a woman," Cayon muttered."Does she deserve it?" I asked, and he quickly nodded."Yes.""Then I'll do it."I barged into the room, prepared for the worst, only to find a red-faced woman with thick, dark hair thrashing my husband's office."Finally!!" She bellowed, turning to face me with wild eyes."Who are you?""Someone you should be afraid of!" She retorted, and I flinched as some of her saliva flew out and straight at my face."Get out!" I ordered as I approached her, my heart slamming against my chest like a hammer. Her eyes blazed with feral intensity and defiance as she launched herself at me, her nails clawing at my face.I dod

  • THE ALPHA WHO SAVED ME WITH HIS MATE BOND   THE MOON'S TOUCH

MAGNUSI smothered a yawn as I dipped the quill in the ink pot and signed my name at the bottom of the fifth letter I'd written in a row.It was a prudent move I'd started to do before every full moon because of two accidental incidents that had almost led to two wars. Well, one of the wars happened but stopped quickly when the other pack realized they were outmatched. It was the night of the full moon, on August, ten years before, and a group of werewolves from other packs had run into our feraxis during their moon craze, and a clash happened, leading to slight injuries on both sides. But the second time it happened, the clash had led to the death of three wolves, and none of them was from my pack.It was after this that the war broke out. And ever since we settled that, I'd always made it a duty to send letters to every pack alpha within my territories, warning and urging them to keep their members in check.A soft knock landed on the door, and I looked up as Cayon walked in."You l

  • THE ALPHA WHO SAVED ME WITH HIS MATE BOND   A NEEDED CHANCE

ASTRIDThe days went by quickly, and the night of the full moon was almost upon us. I hadn't been counting, but I was here about two weeks, and some days had passed since I and Magnus returned to the pack. And not one single day out of those did I feel empty or lonely. He was always around, handy…considerate even. And he had also begun to smile and laugh more. It was almost as if he had ultimately been rebranded before. It was not completely changed, though, because there had been instances where the stubborn, firm-toned Magnus had come out. But at least now, he was ready to listen without interrupting and compromise when needed."You truly are gorgeous, Milady," Samantha complimented as she stepped back after tending to my curls and separating them into two long braids."You flatter me well," I muttered gladly, turning to give her a kind smile."It is no flattery, Milady… fact, you look even more radiant than before."I stood from the chair, the smile still on my face. “Thank you, Sa

  • THE ALPHA WHO SAVED ME WITH HIS MATE BOND   HER AND HER AGAIN

MAGNUSThe door was pushed open, and the footsteps approaching rang out steadily. And even before announcing their presence, I could smell the mouthwatering scent of gravy and freshly baked bread.I turned from the window and faced them."Milord," the head kitchen staff, a stout woman with red cheeks, greeted with a curtsy as she placed a steaming ceramic bowl on the table. "Your dinner's ready."Two other girls walked past her to set down two wooden trenchers and a basket on the table before curtseying."Thank you, Agnes", I muttered, moving to take a seat. Her wide eyes crinkled at the corners as she bowed again."Tobias will be bringing in your wine and water, Milord", she continued, and the words had barely left her mouth when the lad rushed into the dining room with a pitcher and a goblet, his face flushed."Good evening, Milord!"My lips tipped up in a small smile. “Evening Tobias, how are you?""Very well, Milord," he answered as he poured the wine. I stopped him by placing a h

  • THE ALPHA WHO SAVED ME WITH HIS MATE BOND   WELCOME HOME

ASTRIDAs I stood there, surrounded by the backpack and as they bowed to me in unison, I wasn't sure how to feel, but it was a surreal moment, one that I had thought I'd ever experience. And for the first time, I felt I truly belonged to Magnus's Pack.As I scanned the crowd, I could tell that not every pack member was present, but those who were seemed genuinely happy to see me.Some of them approached me cautiously with sincere happiness and relief. So Magnus had been telling the truth when he said the backpack had missed me.It was hard to believe, though, as I had done practically nothing for them. The guards stopped some people from coming closer as Magnus was weary of the growing crowd. So they screamed their gratitude over to her. "Luna, welcome back!"It forced a smile to my lips as I enthusiastically waved back at them. The people who got past the guards made their way to me.One of the first to approach me was an older woman, her silver hair braided and wrapped around her he
