A Storm of Paradise

A sharp spike of heat shot through my entire body like lightning.

It was a terrifying sensation.

Breaking apart from the breathless kiss, he didn't give me a single second to collect my scattered thoughts, he bent over, gripped me firmly around the waist, and flipped me effortlessly over his broad shoulder.

My breath caught in my throat.

I was powerless against his strength, my hands gripping the expensive material of his shirt just to stabilize myself as he strode through the darkness.

He kicked open a heavy door, stepping into a massive private office before kicking it shut behind us.

We were locked away from the storm, locked away from reality.

Setting me down against the door, He pressed his weight against mine, pinning me as he guided my legs securely around his waist.

Slowly, deliberately, his mouth traced a path of burning kisses across my jawline, his lips moving like slow fire against my skin.

He angled his head, trailing down to my earlobe, his teeth nipping lightly. My hands were tangled into his thick, dark hair, pulling him closer even as a quiet voice in the back of my mind begged me to stop.

He rubbed against me in slow perfect motions, the heavy, friction rhythm sending a rolling wave of heat straight to my core

Why does this feel so right? I thought, my mind spinning completely out of control as I threw my head back against the wood of the door.

It felt as though a forbidden fire I had actively suppressed for the sake of my marriage was finally exploding into a roaring blaze. I was supposed to be a loyal wife, at home with her husband.

But right now, under the heavy hands of a stranger, my old life felt like a memory. I was starving for a man who didn't even know my name.

“I am going to make you mine right here,” he growled against my skin.

Plastered against the hard surface of the door, his hot breath brushed against my ear as he whispered low, breathless murmurs sweet, dark promises of ruin and pleasure that made my knees entirely give out beneath his weight. I felt completely overwhelmed.

In this shadowed vacuum, the woman who emptied trash cans and scrubbed floors didn't exist.

There was only Ava.

When he finally slid into me, my entire body stiffen. It took me a full minute as my body adjusted to him. He was matching the raw violence of the storm outside with a slow, measured thrust that carried a heavy, intentional weight driving me higher into a state of pure euphoria.

I released a soft, broken moan against his shoulder, the sound swallowed instantly by a massive crack of thunder.

We were skin to skin, our frantic, hot breaths mixing together in the dark. He felt entirely raw, slowly pumping me against the door, his hand moving to grip the back of my neck to hold me steady while his other hand braced against the door frame to contain the pressure each thrust came with.

My heart was throbbing against my chest faster than I had ever felt in my life, my nervous system operating on a chaotic overdrive.

“Yes... harder...” the words slipped from my lips before I could stop them.

. “Harder... please...”

Our bodies clapped against each other in a steady, heavy rhythm that sounded like a fantasy to my ears.

It was a perfect, intoxicating distraction from the howling wind outside.

Wrapping both of his large hands under my waist, he lifted me higher, carrying me across the dark office toward what felt like a leather couch. He lowered me gently onto it, positioning and centering my body beneath his before he took me once again with a deeper, much more purposeful thrust.

My eyes rolled back into the darkness, my fingers gripping into the leather cushions just to keep myself grounded.

“Look at me... watch me make you mine,” he whispered in a deep, commanding growl, his grip tightening on my jaw.

And I obeyed. Our eyes locked in the thick darkness. Even though I couldn't see the exact features of his face, the piercing green eyes captured me completely, studying my expressions with every heavy pump as if I were the only thing in the world he needed to conquer. In that single moment, it was just the two of us, satisfying a unburning desire, encoding ourselves with one another as if the morning would never come.

The heavy storm outside hitting the windows felt like a protective blanket, shielding us from the judgment of the outside world and blending with my loud moans. The hailstones crashing hard against the glass carried the exact same sensational pressure he was filling me up with.

Just as I started feeling the multiple waves of intense pleasure form a tight knot in my lower belly, the generators hummed to life outside, casting a red glow in the room.

“Now, I get to ravish you under the lights, too,” my stranger grunted as he lifted me toward the window and pressing my front against the cool glass.

The flooding, distorted view of the city was on full display beneath me, cold , completely unlike the heat inside the office.

Quickly, I arched my back and parted my legs, entirely ready to receive him again, but my gaze caught the reflection in the glass mirror.

My breath died in my throat and I froze.

That sharp,jawline.

That thick, pitch-black hair

The expensive tie hanging loosely around his neck, his white sleeves rolled up to his elbows.

No... it couldn’t be. It was impossible.

Without a single thought, blinding panic surged through my veins. I violently pushed him away from me, my brain snapping back into reality piece by piece. He staggered back looking at me with confusion.

“What... are you okay?” he asked, his voice low as he took a cautious step closer to me in the dim light.

I backed away until my spine hit the wall, my hands trembling violently as I looked at him. He didn't recognize me?

Even after what had happened last week. How could I have been so utterly stupid?

Desperate to be away from this suffocating room, I scrambled across the floor, searching for my clothes.

My hands shook so badly as I picked up my torn undergarments and let out a shaky, broken sigh, tucking them deep into my pocket before hastily throwing on my bra and Tshirt.

“Wait...” he started, his voice commanding but laced with curiosity as he took another step forward.

I didn't let him finish the sentence. I was already at the door, sprinting out

I bypassed the elevators, terrified of getting trapped again, straight into the emergency staircase. I took two at a time, my lungs burning as I tried to outrun the crushing weight of guilt and absolute horror. I held onto my breath, desperate to reach the lobby.

Of all the people in the world, it had to be him.

I felt a deep, sickening wave of disgust wash over my entire soul. I felt filthy, completely tainted by my own stupidity.

My left hand felt incredibly heavy, the small wedding band on my finger burning against my skin like an open wound.

Matthew... what have I done to us?

Taking a complete stop. I closed my eyes and drew a breath. Guilt and shame seemed to be my new names as I tried to recollect the scattered pieces of my mind.

Spotting a staff washroom down the hallway, I rushed inside and locked the door behind me, sinking onto the toilet as tears finally spilled over my cheeks.

I grabbed handfuls of paper towels, wetting them under the tap and frantically scrubbing at my neck, and my inner thighs.

I cleaned myself over and over again until my skin turned angry red, desperate to remove any lingering scent or physical trace of my boss from my flesh.

But the reality was absolute. The man who had publicly humiliated me last week, the ruthless billionaire who had forced me to kneel on the cold floor before the entire executive staff to beg for forgiveness just because I had accidentally spilled a few drops of water on his expensive shoe while cleaning the corridor was the exact same man I had just given my body and soul to in the dark.

Mr. Serge Sterling.

If someone ever told me that I would be seated around three men, one being my husband, another being my husbands’ childhood friend. And the other being the brother to my husbands’ friend. Who also happened to be a man I just had sex with less than three hours ago, I would have laughed in their face and called them sick. “Ava?” Matthew called me, pulling me out of my daze. I realized he had been calling me for almost a minute but I was out of it. How couldn’t I be? I was walking on egg shells right now. “Ava..?” Matthew called again. “Are you okay?” Laughing awkwardly, I noodled my head in approval. “This is Leo, my friend from the military. The one in the photo.” Matthew introduced. “Leo meet my wife. Ava.” Extending my hand, I quickly shook his hand with small smile. “I have heard a lot about you, and usually you are as beautiful as he always mentioned.” Leo complimented. “This is my brother, my elder, Serge.. the storm was heavy and I picked him up on my way

Ava Miller. I needed to get home before this storm broke. Standing inside the elevator, I impatiently tapped my foot against the cold metal floor, watching the red digital numbers slowly descend. 33... 32... 31... It was nearly midnight. My cleaning shift had gone on much longer than usual because the CEO had apparently fired an entire team earlier this afternoon. That left the maintenance crew with double the workload, scrubbing down offices and prepping them for whatever new employees were coming in next. Suddenly, the elevator gave a violent rattle. A metallic screech echoing through the shaft, and the overhead lights snapped completely out. “What was that?” I gulped, spinning around in the cramped, four-walled darkness, my eyes straining to search for any immediate danger. Then, the mechanism groaned, and the elevator began surging upward. 27... 28... 29... 30... 31... “No, no, no. Go down!” The crimson numbers were flying by now, ascending at an alarm
