Chapter 61

In the dorm room, Talia sat on her bed checking her wound.

The rogue wolf's claws had torn through her shoulder and arm. The cuts were deep, angry red lines across her skin.

But at least they weren't festering. Dr. Lanxy’s healing potion was helping with the pain as well.

She wrapped the bandage around her arm again and sucked in a breath.

Damon had gone to get cold water for her. He'd been insisting she stay in bed and rest.

Talia smiled thinking about it. He'd been almost protective in a way she didn't expect.

It made her chest feel warm.

‘You’re falling for him, aren’t you?’ Titi teased but she chided her.

A knock echoed on the door and she snapped out of her thoughts.

"Coming!" Talia stood carefully even as her shoulder throbbed.

It must be Damon with the water, She thought to herself and opened the door.

Marcus stood there instead. She recognized him as one of the first years in the school, a small kid with shifty eyes.
