Chapter Thirty Two

Shannon’s POV

Ricky, Jules, Cole, mom, and I sat on separate couches as we allowed different thoughts to spiral through our minds. Deep down, I knew mom was disappointed, not in me though, but in Eric.

When she discovered we were mates, she tried all her best to see to it that we got mated, but unfortunately I was rejected. For some reasons, I didn’t want to accept the fact that Eric reappearance was a coincidence. Something must have happened for him to appear all of a sudden.

“Shannon.” Mom called with a soft voice, interrupting my thoughts.

“Mom, I’m sorry. I should have told you earlier.” I said.

“It’s not your fault. Believe me, whatever happened between Eric and you isn’t your fault.” She said, taking my hands in hers.

“Thank you.” I mumbled, lost on what to say.
