INICIAR SESIÓNFive years. That was how long Tyla Wilson spent trying to earn a place in a family that never wanted her. When her husband brought his first love home and their son happily accepted another woman as his new mother, Tyla finally stopped fighting for people who had already chosen someone else. She walked away. No tears. No begging. No second chances. What nobody knows is that the woman they discarded was never ordinary. Behind the quiet wife everyone looked down on is a brilliant entrepreneur, a hidden fortune, and a past buried so deeply that even Tyla doesn’t know the whole truth about who she really is. As she rebuilds her life, powerful men begin gravitating toward her, opportunities appear one after another, and a shocking discovery threatens to rewrite everything she thought she knew about her past. Then there is Cassian Virell. A billionaire who mistakes her for a gold-digger. An arrogant man she can’t stand. A man whose silent little daughter becomes unexpectedly attached to her. The more Tyla tries to stay away from him, the more their lives become tangled together. And just when she finally starts finding happiness, the people who once threw her away begin returning. Her ex-husband wants another chance. The family that abandoned her wants her back. The truth behind her birth is finally coming to light. But after spending years begging to be chosen… What happens when everyone suddenly wants the woman they once rejected?

I knew that my marriage was beyond saving, yet I dressed up beautifully again tonight… hoping he would at least look at me without disgust in his eyes.
Yet, when he strolled past the door, reeking of sweat and alcohol, he still had a look of disgust on his face.
I rushed toward him to help him in, like a dutiful wife was supposed to.
But I stopped dead in my tracks when I saw who was helping him into the house.
“Olivia!”
Just that name alone made my stomach drop. I stumbled back a little.
Matt’s first love, the one who broke his heart years ago.
The woman he couldn’t get over.
Her eyes held both hate and mischief as she looked me up and down, and then she flashed a mocking smile.
“Tyla, it’s been a long time, I didn’t think you’d still be here,” she looked over my outfit mockingly. “Dressed like that, were you hoping to seduce Matt? I think you’re trying a little too hard. Anyway, Matt got drunk celebrating my return, I had to bring him back.”
I wasn’t sure which stung more, her words or the fact that my husband was clinging to her, burying his head into her neck and inhaling her scent with so much satisfaction.
I swallowed hard, trying to control the pain I felt from showing.
Then keeping my face hard, I turned to Olivia.
“I doubt I should be thanking you for helping my husband home, even though he has a driver to do that for him.” With that, I moved forward to grab Matt from her.
But even as I threw those words back at her, I still felt far from relief.
I tried to pull Matt away from her, but he pushed me away slightly, and for the first time his green eyes stared back at mine.
Though far from composed, he maintained an icy cold glare.
“Why are you still awake?” he asked motionlessly.
My fingers trembled as I clenched them, trying to think of the perfect excuse.
But he didn’t wait for them. Instead, his hand instinctively reached for Olivia’s sleeve, his tone softening a little as he whispered.
“Take me upstairs.”
That was all the clue she needed. Her sly smile broadened, so much that it could barely be hidden.
She wrapped her arms around Matt’s waist, and pushed past me, hard enough to send me stumbling backwards.
I fought for balance and ended up knocking my leg against the table.
Pain shot through my leg, nearly forcing a cry past my lips. But I bit down hard on my lower lip, keeping myself from crying.
As they disappeared up the stairs, I followed them… my heart hammering against my chest with every step I took.
But I stopped outside the bedroom door.
My hand hovered over the handle before I let out a bitter laugh.
Five years.
Five years of marriage and I still wasn’t allowed into his bedroom.
Yet, I could hear her voice inside the room he never let me step into.
My stomach twisted so hard I could barely stand. The tears of humiliation threatened to fall, but I held it in.
“Don’t go, Olivia… stay until morning.” His voice suddenly echoed through the door.
My whole body went cold. And for the first time, the tears fell, each chasing the other.
“Matt, I don’t want your wife to get the wrong idea about me… I have to leave.” She whispered back.
“Olivia, I don’t care what she or anyone thinks,” he insisted, his voice lower. “Just stay here.”
I stumbled back, tears streaming down my eyes.
I didn’t stop moving, leaping from the pain of the leg wound, until I was back in my room… in the tiny guest room that now bore the truth of how he saw me in this family.
The moment I got in, I shut the door and leaned against it, my shoulders shaking as I released silent tears.
I tried counting numbers, tried thinking of my favorite characters in a book… anything at all just to take my mind out of things.
But everything kept pointing back to the reckless choice I made in my early years.
Once more, I regretted ever agreeing to become his wife… regretted leaving everything behind just to become his unwanted wife.
All for what?
When I woke up the next morning, I felt disoriented. Yet, I forced myself out of bed.
But this time, I had no plans of making him breakfast or trying to please him this morning.
For the past five years, he had treated me coldly, blamed and accused me of trapping him.
But this was actually the first time he had brought a woman home, and not any other woman… but Olivia.
However, nothing prepared me for the sight before me.
There on the table, my son Kenny sat there, facing Matt at the dining table.
It was clear he was meaning to dine with us this morning.
I wasn’t sure whether to laugh or cry.
This was the first time he willfully sat at that table with his own son.
I caught sight of another plate beside Matt.
Was that for me?
A pathetic part of me wanted to forget everything that happened last night, and just enjoy this rare moment for once with my family.
But just as I neared the foot of the stairs, another figure emerged.
Olivia.
She walked out of the kitchen, carrying a tray of food in her hands.
Matt stood up to help her take the tray from her, like a doting husband.
My stomach twisted violently as Olivia settled in the seat beside Matt.
“Kenny, I made your favorite dish… I hope you like it,” Olivia said dotingly, staking food on Kenny’s plate, who began eating almost immediately.
Kenny giggled. “Thank you, Aunt Olivia. This food is very delicious.”
Olivia smiled warmly. “More than your mom’s?”
Matt looked like he was about to argue, but then Kenny nodded innocently.
I swallowed hard.
For a second, I wished to disappear. I wished the ground would open and swallow me at that moment.
They looked like one happy family, and I felt like an outsider.
Just when Olivia was dishing out food for Matt, Kenny looked up and his green eyes met mine.
He smiled broadly. “Mommy, you are up. Come and have breakfast. Aunt Olivia is a great cook.”
I didn’t know whether to laugh or cry.
My lips trembled as I fought to say something in response, unshed tears making his face blurry.
“I… I’m not hungry. You should all go ahead.” I finally managed to whisper.
But then, Kenny spoke up. “Mommy, come on. Dad’s finally eating with us… let’s be a real family.”
My heart tightened as I realized, painfully, that this family picture might no longer hold any place for me.
Where then do I stand in this family?
~Tyla~After Cassian left the room, my mind went completely blank.I stood there staring at the closed office door, unable to say a single word.My heart was still beating fast and the feeling of his hand against my cheek felt like it had just been imprinted.I couldn't believe how close I had just come to completely losing my sanity.Vivian stood near the entrance. She was still dazed. The shock on her face was so vivid it was almost comical, but I couldn't bring myself to laugh. She cleared her throat loudly, crossing her arms as she took some steps to my desk."So..." she began, her voice dropping into a teasing tone as she raised an eyebrow at me.“Care to tell me what exactly was going on between the two of you just now?""There was nothing going on," I mumbled quickly, trying to gather the papers scattered on my desk to look busy.My hands were still trembling slightly."He was just talking about the new business partnership. We were discussing the Aegis database."Vivian let ou
~TylaI sat at the boardroom table, my heart pounding as I stared at Cassian standing at the front of the room.Seeing him walk through those doors was shocking enough, but the words that came out of his mouth left me frozen.Just moments ago, the board members had been ready to throw me out. Now, they were smiling, nodding, and praising the opportunity in front of them.A partnership with Virell Group was worth millions, and they couldn't hide their excitement. But unlike everyone else in the room, I wasn't happy. When the meeting ended, I quickly stood up.I grabbed my tablet and then walked straight for the door without looking back.As I passed Cassian, I could feel his eyes on me.He tried to catch my gaze, but I kept my head down and walked right past him.I hurried through the glass hallway and stepped into my office. The moment the door closed behind me, I let out a long breath I hadn't realised I was holding.Finally...I thought I had a few minutes to pull myself together bu
~Tyla~I finally arrived at the office. My entire body was screaming for rest but my mind knew I had a lot of things to do and resting now was a luxury I couldn't afford. And again, I needed to bury myself in work to forget the memories of Linda and Cassian from last night. Not like I care but it was disgusting to think about. Before I could even take off my coat, Vincent rushed into my private office. His face was pale, and he was holding his laptop tightly against his chest.I could tell from his expression that something had gone wrong.“Tyla, you’re back,” Vincent said with relief as he quickly closed the door behind him. “You need to hear this. The police went to Olivia’s apartment to arrest her. ”I paused, my fingers freezing on the buttons of my jacket. “And? Did they arrest her?”“No.” Vincent shook his head in frustration.“Somehow, she found out about the arrest warrant before the police even got to her building. She packed a bag and escaped just in time. She’s officially o
~Cassian~My head felt like it was splitting entirely in half.I opened my eyes and immediately, a bright light stashed through the curtain.I reached out blindly toward the nightstand, my fingers searching for my phone.I blinked away the blurriness to read the time flashing on the screen. It was 10:00 AM.I sat up slowly. Every single muscle in my body was aching.I rarely ever drank, but last night was a complete disaster.I had met up with my old college friends, intending to have just one drink to clear my mind, before the entire evening spiraled completely out of control.Somewhere around 11pm, Linda had joined the group.Because I was completely out of it and practically unable to walk straight, she was the one who had taken charge and driven me back to the mansion instead of my friends. There was a knock on my door.A young maid stepped into the master suite, her face completely pale. Her eyes glued tightly to the floor when she stood before me."Good morning, Mr. Virell," she
~TYLA~Cassian. An arrogant tyrant. That was exactly what he was.I hadn't cared about his deal when he had shown no interest before in that gala. But now that he had finally decided to show up, after we had come all the way here, he thought he could just disregard us?Like I hadn't spent the entir
~TYLA~I stared at the papers that the lawyer handed me.“Are you sure about this?” he asked gently. This time around, I nodded. And without a second thought, I signed them. After that, I handed the papers back to him, and he looked through them again.“Did you include Kenny’s custody there?” I ask
~TYLA~I couldn’t move.It was as though my legs were rooted to the spot as I watched Olivia immediately bend down to Kenny’s level, ruffling his hair.Kenny’s giggles were like needles pricking at my skin.“Hello dear, buddy.” She greeted him, warmly, “Enjoying your snack?”Kenny nodded. “I love…
~TYLA~The doctors reassured us that it was a minor scratch, and grandma had been very lucky.Only then did my fast-beating heart slow down, and I began noticing those around me.The entire Wilson family was gathered in the ward, including Matt’s two cousins, Josh and Benny.“Mother, you cannot kee
