Lucy’s POV

Everything was totally wrong.

Ethan stood beside Ash, arms crossed, a smirk on his lips that sliced through me like a sharp blade.

I struggled against the rogue gripping my arms, my breath uneven, my heart racing unstop. My heart pounded so loud I thought it might drown out the words I never wanted to hear.

“Ethan…” My voice cracked up at this point. “Tell me this isn’t real. Please tell me this a joke.”

He chuckled, tilting his head. “Real?” His eyes gleamed with something dark. “Oh, Lucy. It’s as real as it gets.”

This couldn’t be happening. I shouldn't have trusted him. I remember being warned.

Ash’s laugh cut through my thoughts like a dagger. “Did you actually trust him?” She pouted mockingly. “That’s adorable. Trusting a Rogue”

My stomach twisted as she said those words to me. I clenched my fists in angered, my nails digging into my palms. “You planned this.” I spat the words at Ethan. “From the start. You made me trust you even though I was warned”
