chapter nineteen

ISABELLA’S POV

I picked the kids from their various parents and headed for the park like I always did.

I made them go on the different kiddies ride. It was all fun and merry albeit stressful as my colleague hadn’t shown up. She had called in sick and so I was left alone to handle the kids. Fun on one hand but a lot of work on the part of keeping the kids under control. Only that at intervals, the thought of him kept popping up in me especially the part we had fun in the park.

I kept forcing myself to shut off the memories and focus on the kids. Moments later one of my kids mistakenly threw her ball and it landed somewhere far from where we were playing.

“My ball…” she cried and pointed to where the ball had fallen at.

“It’s okay dearie, I will get your ball.”
