Though I hadn't seen my aunt ever in my life, still, just by looking at Mom and sensing Jay's anger through our bond, I could already feel the tension in my body

I didn't like to see tear stains all over her face. She was under so much stress while thinking about her sister that even her bond with Dad couldn't help her feel at ease through their bond.

Marcus did ugly with her... I am glad that Jayden's alliance reached her in time but seeing the gash on her back made me feel so guilty for some reason.
