The shrill sound of my phone ringing abruptly interrupted my deep sleep as I lay in bed. The person who stays awake at night shows no concern for my well-being, despite my efforts to get a good night’s sleep in preparation for an upcoming test. With a surge of anger, I snatched the phone from the table next to my bed, eager to see who was interrupting me. The screen’s brightness was causing me difficulty seeing.

“What did I do to deserve to be punished by this obnoxious pervert?” I complained, irritated. I let out a tired yawn.
