Chapter 18

August's POV

I was distracted by the noise in my room. So I suddenly became alert to whatever it was. I immediately raised my eyes and immediately saw Genieva carrying something that I couldn't understand.

I just rubbed my eyes and looked at the time. I want a trance. How about it, it's still early in the morning! I only slept a few hours because of my merciless training with Cayden. There were days when I only slept about four hours.

"Gen, what are you doing?" My head hurts while looking at him. I'm still really sleepy.

He looked at me as if I had said something unbelievable.

"Why are you asking? It's your duel today. And I brought you your gear." It said while approaching me. "So get up girl and prepare."

I was forced to get up even though I felt like the bed was still pulling me. It was as if the bed had invisible hands pulling me. I walk too groggy.
