A Cold Reunion

Author: Stella YX
(Alexander's POV)

The sound of the door clicking shut behind me felt like a final barrier locking us away from the world. My heart pounded as I took in the state of the apartment. It was small, almost stifling, with the faint trace of her soft lavender scent lingering in the air, a ghost of the Aria I once knew.

But everything felt so off. Her presence here felt faint, almost nonexistent, a shadow of the powerful aura I’d come to associate with her as my omega.

“Aria?” I called gently, my voice shaking slightly.

No response.

The silence wrapped around me, suffocating. I stepped further into the apartment, my wolf pacing restlessly within me, clawing for her presence.

“Over here,” Sarah’s voice came from the far corner, followed by hurried footsteps.

I moved quickly toward where Sarah had headed. My heart stopped at the sight of her.

There she was, lying on her small, cramped bed, her silver-white hair tangled and dull against the pillow. Her skin seemed paler than usual, almost

(Sarah's POV)"Tell me about her and Derek." Alexander's voice was low, quieter than I’d heard it in years. His sharp, golden eyes locked on me.I hesitated, unsure of how much to say. The tension in the car felt like a physical weight pressing down on me. He looked fragile in a way I’d never thought possible—not in his body, but in whatever was left of his spirit. The proud, powerful Alpha heir I once knew was breaking apart, little by little. He waited silently, and I could feel his wolf stirring within him. It wasn’t raging—it was waiting, just like he was. Waiting for me to shred what little hope he might have left."It’s not what you think," I said finally, keeping my voice steady. The truth, however harsh, had to come out now. "Their relationship... started in a way you won’t like."His eyebrows twitched, nerves already fraying. "What do you mean?"I exhaled, the words bitter on my tongue. "It wasn’t love."He flinched slightly, his lips parting as though he wanted to resp

  • The Alpha King Begged His Omega to Come Back   A Friend's Burden

(Aria's POV)I sat on the edge of the couch, fingers nervously tapping against my thigh. Sarah's voice carried through the kitchen as she stirred the pot of healing broth she insisted I should have. My mind was elsewhere, spinning with worry."Aria, you’re doing that thing again," she said over her shoulder, glancing at me with a soft smile."What thing?" I asked, forcing myself to still my hand."The overthinking thing." She turned back to the stove, adjusting the flame. "You’ve been through enough already. Just let me handle my own mess, alright?"My stomach clenched at her words. Handle it? Sarah had always been strong, but this time, I wasn’t so sure. "You call it a mess, but it’s serious, Sarah. Taking on extra shifts?"She waved me off, her back still to me. "I’ve done it before. It’s no big deal.""No big deal?" I stood, walking closer to her. "You nearly made yourself sick last time. Your health—""Aria." She stopped stirring and turned to face me. The warm glow of the

(Sarah's POV)I forced myself to focus, picking up one of the fresh wolfsbane-infused healing fruits from the bowl. My hands worked automatically, peeling it, my blunt nails sliding through the soft rind. Each slice came apart cleanly."Here." I held out the neatly sectioned piece toward Aria, trying to keep my tone light. "They’re straight from the pack gardens. Restocked this morning."She hesitated, her violet eyes briefly flicking over the fruit. Her hand reached out and took it with a gentle thank you, but the way her fingers trembled didn’t escape me.She held the small piece for a moment longer, her grip loose. She stared at it like she wasn’t sure whether to taste it. Then, slowly, she brought it to her lips. She winced before she bit down, chewing softly, her expression tight. Was she in pain?“I know you too well,” Aria said suddenly, her soft voice cutting through my swirling thoughts. She swallowed the fruit before setting the rest of it down on my desk. "What’s wrong

  • The Alpha King Begged His Omega to Come Back   A Painful Farewell

(Alexander's POV)I couldn’t breathe.Aria’s violet eyes stared into mine with a cold, unmoving firmness that I couldn’t recognize. She’d always been my little wolf, the one who would laugh, cry, and lean on me no matter how bad things got. But now?Now she was someone else.My heart howled as I asked her, voice trembling under the weight of rejection, “Did you become so cruel to me because you fell in love with Derek Silverstone? Is that it?”Her silence sliced through me.“Aria.” My tone cracked, my wolf clawing to take control. “My wolf has loved you for half my life. How could you do this to me?” I hated the way my voice wavered, hated the vulnerability I couldn’t suppress. Her jaw trembled for the briefest second. Then, she spoke. Her words were like blades.“Yes,” she whispered. Then louder, more resolute, “Yes, I fell in love with him.”I staggered slightly, as if her words had physically struck me. My wolf whimpered. Her fists clenched at her sides as she continued. “

  • The Alpha King Begged His Omega to Come Back   Desperate Vigil

(Sarah's POV)My steps echoed down the hallway, my heart racing as I approached Aria's apartment. The unanswered texts and calls had been eating at me for hours. Something wasn’t right. When I rounded the corner, my breath hitched.A group of wolves in formal pack attire stood in front of her door. Broad-shouldered, serious expressions, and an air of authority—they didn’t look like ordinary wolves. These were enhanced beta wolves. Their stance screamed of strength, and their sheer presence made the corridor feel smaller.I froze for a moment, my beta instincts kicking in."What are you all doing in front of her apartment?!" I shouted. My voice came out stronger than I expected, cutting through the silence like a blade. The wolves didn’t move, didn’t even flinch. They turned their heads in unison, their cold eyes locking on mine. A dismissive glance, as if I were insignificant. My blood boiled at their arrogance. My eyes darted to the silver-reinforced broom leaning against the w
