When Mason Jameson moves to Arizona with his mom to escape the clutches of his abusive father, he expects his last two years of high school to more or less be the same as his first two: Slow, boring, and quiet. What he gets is the complete opposite of that when he crosses paths with the Gordon Twins: Leo and Jocelyn, soon to be the new leaders of The Crimson Wolves, the only thing they seem to be missing is their mates. When the Twins learn that Mason is their mate, things take a turn for the worst when a childhood friend of the Twins finds out who Mason is to them, and is determined to prevent their union. Will the bullying and torment lead to Mason rejecting the Twins or will he trust them despite the hardships he's forced to endure?

Prologue
“MASON, GET OUT HERE!” My father yelled from the living room, I left my room to meet him, “Go get me a beer from the fridge, I’m exhausted and your brother is being a piece of shit!” “Yes sir,” I said before going to the fridge and grabbing one of the beers from his six-pack, “Here you go.” I handed him his beer before leaving to go back to my room to avoid his wrath as much as I could. Ever since mom left, he blamed us for his life going to shit and drowned his sorrows in beer and vodka. To make matters worse, my brother had started spending more and more nights out of the house, causing more problems for me. He’d leave before our father got home and tell me to make up an excuse for why he wasn’t there, only for me to bear the repercussions. “Mason, get back here! I wasn’t done with you,” He said after throwing the empty bottle from his previous drink at me, only missing me because of how drunk he was. “Yes?” I said, walking back to the living room and trying to avoid arguing w

Chapter 1
Mason I woke up in the passenger seat of my Mom’s car as we made our way down the highway towards our new home. It had been months of work and frustration, but my mom was able to win a court case and get me out of my father’s home. I still vividly remembered the smell of vodka from his apartment, it wasn’t a smell I enjoyed remembering. Whenever he drank, I was either out of the house and waiting for him to pass out, or stuck hiding in my room to avoid his wrath. “Kiddo, I know this won’t be easy for you, but I hope if no one else, you’ll still trust me. My boyfriend has been helping me arrange a place in his place for you, and we’ve already enrolled you at the local high school,” My mom said as she took an exit off the highway, “The neighborhood is a little rough around the edges, but it’s got a familial atmosphere.” “Sounds like my kind of place, eh?” I said with a heavy dose of sarcasm, she knew that with my fathe

Mason Once we had finished unloading everything from the trunk, my mom and Nate went out to go and grab something to eat for dinner, meanwhile, I was focused on organizing my room. I’d gotten through most of the boxes, and was working on putting my books away when my mom and Nate got back with food. Nate took to staying in the living room while my mom sat down on my bed and gave me my food. “Alright, Mason, before I go mingle with Nate, I wanted to talk to you for a bit about school before you go to bed and leave tomorrow.” “I will listen wholeheartedly, so long as you promise to never say ‘mingle with Nate’ ever again. I don’t need to know the details of your personal life, Mom.” “Okay, Kiddo,” She said as I started eating my fries, “So, I already told you that this school won’t be like the schools that you’ve been to before, as you probably had guessed by the name.” “Yeah, ‘Blood Moon High’ definitely sou

Chapter 3
Mason I got off the bus and walked toward the school as I took note of everything that met my eyes. Most notably was probably the answer to my question; As I approached the school I watched as a large group of students parted to make way for two others to get through, and I presumed they were the Gordon Twins. The pair walked like they owned the place, the brother wore a leather jacket over a plain white tee, with black jeans underneath, while his sister wore a Purple hoodie with gold letters that said “SPQR” on it with cargo pants. They both carried themselves with the stereotypical attitude of ‘Fuck around and find out’, so, I remembered what the guy on the bus said and made a mental note to ignore them as much as I could. “Hey, dude wait up!” I heard from behind me, and sure enough, it was the dude from the bus, “I know you saw them, believe me now?” “I can see how people would both fear and crush on them, yeah,”

Chapter 4
Jocelyn As our first class came to an end, my brother, Leo, and I walked out and towards my next class while I brought up the boy that sat next to me in class. While my brother and I were both capable of handling ourselves, I always preferred walking to class with him so I had someone to talk to if something was on my mind. “I don’t get why you were even looking at the guy,” Leo said as we turned down the hall towards my science class, “He looked like your typical quiet kid, you leave him alone and he’ll leave you alone.” “That’s not the point, Leo,” I said before we stopped outside my class, “There’s something different about him, if we have another class with him try and sit next to him, you’ll see what I mean.” “Whatever you say, Sis,” He said before leaving for his second hour. I took my seat in the front so I could see the whiteboard as everyone else flooded in, taking their seats. I was in AP Biology this

Chapter 5
Leo After the lovely conversation I had with my sister, I started to remember Astrid, and more specifically, why my sister had a vendetta against her. I didn’t like her at all still, due to our past with her, I just didn’t want to be anywhere near her; My sister, on the other hand, wanted to have her either banished from anywhere our Pack had influence, or fight her. I couldn’t blame her though, in my opinion, Astrid wasn’t even worth our time at this point, but I wasn’t going to tell my sister what to do; The last time I tried to do that, I ended up in charge of both of our chores and more, with my father lecturing me on how it wasn’t my job to order her around. “Hey, Leo,” Ajax, another member of the football team, said as he caught up to me “You heading to the gym?” “Me? No, I’m going to go turn myself in for grand larceny. I accidentally stole a pencil sharpener from the main office, and I’m too lazy to return it,”

Chapter 6
Mason"I thought you said to just steer clear of the Gordon Twins," I said to Ajax as we made our way towards Writer's Workshop."I did, and I stand by that statement, I know Leo because he's also on the football team but that doesn't mean you should," He said before we exited the stairwell towards the ground floor, "The Gordon Twins are nice enough, but it's best to not get involved with them. They're the children of the current Alpha of the Crimson Wolves, one of the most infamous packs in the States, and if you piss them off there's no one on this earth that can save you.""I had both of them in my first class today, and I could've sworn that the sister kept staring at me," I said as we arrived at my class, "I swear I'm not making this up, Ajax.""Then you better pray that she ain't mad at you. She might be more reserved than her brother, but she's just as, if not more, dangerous than him.""Alright, thanks for helpi

Chapter 7
Mason "Need a hand there, bud?" Leo said as I sat on the floor probably looking like an idiot and took his hand to help me back up. "Thank you," I said as I got back up to my feet, "Now if you'll excuse me, I'd rather pretend this whole debacle ever went down." "Leaving so soon? We haven't even gotten your name though," The sister said as I tried to walk past them towards my next class, only for Leo to step in the way blocking my exit. "Why would you want to know my name? I'm nobody important and would like to keep it that way," I said as I looked up to meet Leo's gaze, "And I'd genuinely appreciate it if you moved so I could get to my next class." Leo stood there smirking at me as I tried to get past him again to get to my next class, his sister on the other hand tapped his shoulder and he moved to the side so I could head on to class. She looked at me with a look that held a mixture of curiosity

Chapter 8
Mason It was becoming more and more apparent that I wouldn't be able to avoid the Twins as easily as I thought, if they weren't pestering me in the classes we shared, they were blocking my path to my next class in hopes of talking to me for whatever reason they had. I took a seat in the back again on the other side of where the Twins were sitting to avoid having to talk to them, and put one of my earbuds in while we waited for the teacher to start class. While waiting, I took my notebook and pen out to continue writing the short story I had started earlier on during the day. I usually wrote whenever I was bored, and any stories that I was proud of and thought others would enjoy I would upload to a website that specialized in short stories and poems. While I continued writing, the teacher walked in and started doing introductions but in the best way that I had seen all day."I'm sure you've all heard more t

Chapter 9
JocelynAfter hearing what Mason had said towards the end of our last class of the day, I was torn between wanting to sucker punch my brother and talking to Mason more. Unfortunately, the latter option wasn't available for long as while I was giving my brother the death stare, Mason walked out of class. I contemplated my remaining options before coming to a rational conclusion as to what I should do next; My brother didn't like my choice as we left the class ourselves he went from laughing his ass off to scowling at me for punching him. "You couldn't have punched him? He was the one who made the joke, not me," He said as we made our way down the hall towards the back parking lot. "I could've, but didn't want to; That and I've been holding that punch back since Biology class, you handled it well though," I said before opening the door towards the lot and heading towards my car."Just because I can handle it doesn
