079_A Visit to the Penthouse

Elora’s POV

When I arrived at the house, the same house Zeke claimed was ours. The same house he wanted to kick me out of, I noticed that he was back already.

He was still making his usual stupid, long calls with Charlotte, but what do I care? At least he had the decency not to bring her to the house for now.

It was how far sorcery had corrupted his soul because he gave himself over to the use of unapproved magical artifacts.

It happens to everyone who comes in contact with it. Right now, one of the things I believe was shady about this Zacker guy was the fact that he might be into sorcery himself.

My mind derailed back to the fight in the morning.

He didn’t have the build, nor did he seem like it, but he defeated every single beta with ease.

He was going to do that to Xavier, then to me, if what happened hadn’t happened.

I walked upstairs and down the opposite side of the hallway to where I’d set up my new room.

I’d set it up there because I wanted to be as far from Zeke as possible
