Kayla

I stared at Asher from the carriage and studied his bodily structure. The way his eyes twitched, his mouth was pressed together, his muscles clenched, and his face was imprinted with shock and disbelief.

Whatever information that has been delivered to him had to be something extremely horrible. I raked my hair with my fingers, clutching a handful as I tried to think of the news that had gotten him so worked but my mind came up with nothing.

My heart drummed in my chest and my feet were

  • The Alpha’s Doom   Chapter 86- How evil was this woman?

Kayla I couldn't believe this was happening to me, I was pulled up from the ground and placed on a chair, while my hands were bound to the chair. I couldn't believe that the woman Asher had loved so wholeheartedly was this evil and manipulative. How did she plan all of this? But more than that, how could she do this to someone like Asher? He worshipped her in the past and yet she chose to destroy him. He loved her so much that when she faked her death everything in him completely crumbled. He lived a horrible life for years and she didn't fucking care about any of that. How could someone live with themselves after being so brutal and ruthless to another person?I expected to see some sort of remorse on her face but there was none, instead, all she was concerned about was ways to hurt him more. She had centered her life on getting revenge for her parent’s death and was practically living to see him suffer. It was crazy to think about all of the things she had confessed to me. It is

  • The Alpha’s Doom   Chapter 85- Guests

Asher“How is it that my mate was abducted and no one seems to know of her whereabouts?” I growled. My warriors flinched at my tone but none of them answered my question. At first, I was furious with them for not protecting their Luna properly when I realized that it was my fault. I was the one that was supposed to protect her, just like I’ve always done in the past. I wasn't there to protect the woman that I loved at the time she needed me most.I made a connection to every member and warrior of the pack, informing them of what had happened. It had been hours since I found out that the coach carrying Kayla had been attacked and that someone had abducted her. I had been in the forest searching and following her scents but I kept reaching a dead end without any single trace of her. I should be able to track her since she now bears my mark but for some reason, her scent kept disappearing out of nowhere. It was more like her scent had been cloaked. This only brings me to one possible

  • The Alpha’s Doom   Chapter 84- Kayla is pregnant

Davies “Why are you here?” I asked Maria. “You are pregnant, you should have stayed upstairs.” “I don't know about you but I am happy to see someone else other than their faces around here.” Lucas teased“So how did the wedding go?” I asked Maria. This had been on my mind always and I was worried about Kayla. After she confessed to being in love with Asher, I realized just how big of a sacrifice she would be making to marry someone else. “You will be shocked to find out what exactly happened outside of the dungeon,” Celia said as she joined us. “What happened at the wedding?” I asked, impatiently.“Asher happened,” Maria answered as she came to sit beside me. “He really lives up to his name. He stormed inside the ballroom like a ticking bomb and stopped the wedding from happening.” I was shocked by her words. Asher really came over here to stop Kayla from getting married? He even risked a war with the council and also put his relationship with Emily at risk. But why? Could it b

AsherThe council members were all seated and waiting for me when I returned. All their eyes were on me and I could sense the tension in the official chamber. They were all confused about how to react to my betrayal and their fright only helped my situation. But somehow I couldn't understand why I felt uneasy, my mind constantly going back to Kayla. Something was wrong, I could feel my wolf’s restlessness intensifying. I still tried to focus on whatever the council had to say. “Why did you destroy the wedding, Alpha Asher?” Elder Felix asked. “I thought that we had an understanding and you’re on our side or have you forgotten that?” I narrowed my eyes.”Kayla was given to me as a substitute bride here in the council. Then why did you bring her back here and order her to remarry, when she was still married to me?” I roared, my voice now a sinister growl. Elder Felix had a look on his face that rivaled that of a deer caught in headlights. “We heard that your wife had returned and we

Kayla “Hello Kayla,” A slightly familiar voice spoke to me. I was not sure for how long I had been lying on the ground. My eyes felt heavy and my mind felt foggy. I groaned at the stabbing pain in my head after some time, I opened my eyes weakly. My eyes blinked as they tried to adjust to the brightness. “Where was I?” Standing in front of me was a hazy figure in a black cloak that covered her from head to toe and her hair cascaded down her shoulder. The owner of the voice stood a few feet away from me, looking at me curiously. “Finally, the sleeping tramp is awake.” She hissedI froze. I knew that voice. “Emily!” I screamed as I groaned and tried to muster the energy to push myself off the ground and back on my feet but my hands and feet were tied. “What’s the meaning of this?” I yelled and tried to break free from whatever was holding me down. “Don’t you have a functional brain to tell that I have abducted you?” “Are you trying to hurt me because Asher chose and marked me?” I

  • The Alpha’s Doom   Chapter 81- Complex blend of emotions

Asher My gaze flicked outside through a large window. I was not even aware that it had already begun to grow dark. The faint outline of the moon was peeking out from the clouds. As I thought about the way Emily had stormed out of the ballroom. Her anger was understandable and there was nothing I could do to help her. I have hurt Kayla enough already and all I want to do now is to live in such a way that only brings laughter and happiness to her. I wanted Kayla to be as happy as possible. I turned and found her looking at me. I could tell that she was worried that I would still go to Emily after confessing my feelings to her. I needed to prove to her that my heart only belonged to her from now on. I walked towards her and gently took her soft hand in mine. “Alpha Asher—”I glared at the wedding officiant and he immediately shut his mouth. I wasn't finished with the council yet. I would come back to deal with them in a minute but now all I wanted was to take Kayla back home first. I
