ALEXIA

The sugar rush, at least on my part, died the minute we pulled into Zeke’s parking space to see him silently fuming. Ben gave him a sheepish smile as he helped me out of the car.

“My car…” Zeke groaned, sounding like he was in agony or something. “My sweet baby.”

Watching him circle the car to see if there was any damage on it, I wondered how he knew the car was missing from the parking lot. Looking at Ben, I was surprised but relieved to see he wasn’t taking Zeke’s display seriously, which reassured me that taking his car out without permission wasn’t a big deal.

“This!” He snapped his fingers at both of us. “Is not Killian’s car, you of all people know I don’t let anyone drive my baby.”

The last statement was directed at Ben and seeing I was out of his focus for a second, I grabbed that opportunity, making a run for the entrance. Before disappearing through the door, I stopped to look over my shoulder, a bit surprised that Ben didn’t out me to him.

Turning around, I alm

ALEXIA They aren’t dating! I wanted to do a dance around the court so badly due to how relieved and happy I was. Although I was aware if it wasn’t going to be Jinx, it was going to be someone else and did he mention she was into girls? Blinking away my thoughts, I tried to focus on the story he was telling me instead. “In a sense, the attention got worse and Jinx was getting harassed daily. It forced us both to face our fears instead of hiding away. She came out to her parents, and we have remained friends ever since.” “Oh…that’s a touching story, actually. I still think you should be taking the fact that someone is out there to kill you seriously…” He didn’t respond, he simply picked up the basketball and made another shot before coming to sit beside me on the bench. With the list still in my hand, he leaned over, running his finger across the list. I stared at him from the corner of my eyes before turning my full gaze on him after noticing he was distracting. His side profile h

ALEXIA The situation I found myself in was partially my fault. I could admit that now, hours later as we pulled into the manor. When he kissed me, I had a choice not to kiss him back, but I did anyway. Besides, this was going to happen one day as I already knew nothing was going to come of my crush on him. “Whoa…” I said, glancing around. “You weren’t wrong when you said security has gotten tighter around here. What happened?” Zeke and Ben do that thing they do whenever they are about to lie. Exchange non-verbal looks to decide who was going to tell the lie so they don’t contradict each other. It’s starting to get annoying because I can’t shake the feeling that they were hiding something that concerned me… from me! “Politics.” Ben was the one who spoke. “An anonymous letter was leaked to Alpha Damon. The security are on the lookout for an assassin sent to put an end to Killian’s life.” What? I blinked, surprised by the fact that they didn’t only tell me the truth, but I didn’t an

ALEXIA “I don’t understand. At first, you wanted her transferred out of the school, and now you want her to transfer back to her previous department? If you ask me, I think she’s doing great where she is…” There was a pause from the principal that made me guess he was showing Killian something—hopefully, not my grade. “After all the university applications start in a few months and exams start next semester, she could decide to take the exam on the courses she hopes to study full time in the Academia. I think this is the best decision for her and everyone involved.” I turned away from the door, pressing my back against the wall beside it. Killian's action didn’t make sense. One minute he wants me out of the school and next he wants me back in the same space I removed myself from because of him? I didn’t like it one bit, it’s starting to feel like he was messing with my head on purpose. Like how he willingly carried me only to run away from me a few seconds later, then he turned ar

ALEXIA On my way back to the cafeteria, I couldn’t stop thinking about the fact that Killian freaking apologized to me. My cheeks hurt so much from smiling, but I stopped at the entrance, forcing my face to stay neutral before entering the cafeteria. I knew my day was about to get better when I returned and there was no sign of Willow. Just as before, Leo took my crutches to place them beside me while Raven helped me settle down next to her. “Is everything okay?” She asked, her eyes roaming over my face. I nodded, not trusting myself to say anything. I feared that if I opened my mouth an uncontrollable giggling might escape due to how happy I was feeling inside.Leo checked his wristwatch, then reached over for his jacket. “Sorry to cut our lunchtime short today, I have a briefing practice to attend in a few minutes." “I thought you had a game last Saturday…” Raven remarked as he stood up to go. “No, it was canceled. Coach had a family emergency, which means the game has been mo

  • The Alpha’s Hidden Mate    Chapter 32

ALEXIA The tension in the room was so thick that one could cut it with a knife and with each passing seconds, my heart raced with the possibility that my words may not have any effect on him and he would end up punching me anyway. There’s no freaking way I would survive a punch from a werewolf, judging by the fact that all Willow did was step on my foot, and now I’m on crutches for a week or so. Silence continued to stretch as everyone anticipated my opponent's next move—including me. My eyes snapped shut on their own accord as he brought his fist up to my face. I waited, bracing myself up for the punch that never came. I opened my eyes just in time to see him releasing my collar, but not fast enough as a teacher had walked in, and she was staring at us, point of correction, glaring at us. Bending down to pick my crutches, I put some distance between us as the teacher approached us. The rest of the classroom had gone back to minding their business, something they could have done i
