We were all in the room, tossing clothes everywhere as Lily tried to pick something to wear for her date.

“Lily, you’ve tried on like ten outfits already,” I teased, holding up a glittery dress. “Just wear this one!”

She wrinkled her nose. “That’s too much. I want him to think I’m effortlessly cute, not like I’m trying too hard.”

Fiona chuckled from the corner. “You’ve been trying too hard since you woke up, Lily.”

We all laughed,until Liam’s voice came through the mind-link, his tone urgent. “Maya, Lily, Fiona—come to the pack hospital. Now.”

My smile vanished instantly. “What’s going on?” I asked out loud, but the link had already closed.

Within minutes, we were rushing through the hospital doors, hearts pounding. The scent of antiseptic filled the air, cold and sharp. When we entered the room, my breath caught—Fiona was lying unconscious on the bed, her head wrapped in thick white bandages. Machines beeped steadily beside her.
