The next morning, before training, Roseline met me outside the pack house. She had that mischievous smile she always wore when she had something interesting to show.

“Come on,” she said, tugging my arm. “There’s somewhere I want to take you before we begin.”

I followed her across the training grounds, past the gardens, and into the western side of the territory where the air felt older,like time had forgotten this part of the pack.

The house we stopped in front of was covered in ivy, the wooden walls cracked and faded. “What is this place?” I asked, brushing my fingers along the dusty railing.

Roseline glanced at me, her expression softening. “My parents told me your mom used to stay here,” she said quietly. “When she was young—before she… disappeared.”

I froze, my heart thudding. “She lived here?”

Roseline nodded. “Yeah. They said her powers became noticeable around that time. She used to train near the woods behind this house.”
