THE ROUGE ATTACK

There was a meeting in the pack this morning — a serious one. The kind that made the air feel thick before it even started. Everyone was gathered in the main hall: ranked wolves, warriors, omegas, and even some of the trainees.

I sat near the back with Roseline and Lily. They were whispering quietly, but my mind was elsewhere. I hadn’t spoken to Liam since everything that happened. Even now, I could feel his eyes on me from across the room, but I refused to look at him. I couldn’t. Not yet.

Alpha James cleared his throat at the front. “We’ve called this meeting because of the recent incidents — the rogue attacks near our borders, and the unusual energy readings reported by our scouts.”

Murmurs rippled through the room. Rogues weren’t uncommon, but energy readings? That was new.

Zack spoke up. “We think it’s magic-related. Possibly dark magic. Whatever it is, it’s been spreading fast. We found traces near the east ridge and by the waterfall trail.”
