Alpha Oliver
I laid on the brown sofa at my balcony, my eyes over the large cities of my pack. It was my favorite spot as it helped me clear my head every evening. Being the Alpha of a large pack like mine has been tasking, it's was more daring than I thought it would be, adding to the fact that I have a curse I'd live with for the rest of my life. Ethan, my personal guard, walked up to me with a distressed look on his face, "The slave carriage just entered the palace, and they're headed towards Julius quarters." He said, panting heavily. He must have run to deliver the message considering that everything about Julius is treated as an emergency. I quickly rose to my feet, without saying any word to Ethan, and was on my way to Julius quarters. Julius is a leader in my pack who takes pleasure in buying slaves and subjecting them to various ill treatments. Yes, I know we were supposed to stop him all these while, but that was because my father found a way to protect him and defend all he did. He was my father's cousin, and the only relative he has alive. Julius has been battling some mental illness for years, which made him take up his evil habits. And the only way I can curtail his evil acts is to forbid him from acquiring more slaves. I dashed into his cold stinking room and my eyes fell on an extremely gorgeous chubby lady who laid on the floor. Her brown-amber eyes fell on me and I felt my inside quiver. Those were the most beautiful eyes I had ever seen. Her hands caught in the chains, and the tag on her body read, “Omega from Crescent pack.” I quickly undid her chains and took her away from the dark quarters without saying a word to Julius. There was no need, arguing with him was pointless. My intentions being to make her as my own slave. Indeed the crescent pack has a special place in my heart because I was going to get married to Sane, the daughter of an elder of the pack, but it wasn't in any way my intention to take advantage of her stepsister. I had never seen Amelia until that day at the quarters, I guess her family hid her from the eyes of the public. Not trying to make excuses, but I put all the blame on the black blazing that affected my actions. That was not the first time I had a black blazing on my eyes, but that was definitely the first time it made me do the unthinkable. The black blazing was a result of a curse from the moon goodness Years ago, the Star moon pack, and the Daris pack had gone into war with each other. And in the werewolf race, it was better if you didn't go on a war at all than to go and fail. Yes, you guessed it right. The dark blazing which causes me to lose myself and behave like an entirely different person was a curse that was laid on me by the moon goodness after I and my pack lost that fight. I found myself admiring the omega who I could tell had no powers. My position as the Alpha needs a powerful woman by my side, reasons why I wanted to marry Sane. But before I could get myself together, I was in bed with her. She was very satisfying, and I must confess, her looks are unique. She had curves in the right places and smelled really good. But now, I have lost my betrothed forever, and I'm going to live with regrets all my life. Sane had sneaked out of her pack to come see me like she always did. She also brought a tie she would love me to wear on our big day, but I messed everything up. After she saw the royal mark, she reported it to my father. My father, the great Xavier summoned me before his chambers. I bowed before the old Alpha, hands clasped and ear at alert waiting for his judgment. "You know what the tradition says, right?" His voice came as a command, but I didn't say a word. "You marked her, Oliver. Now you must take her as your Luna and never mark another." He gave the final judgment and I watched my world attempt to crumble before me. I'm an Alpha under a curse already, and need a strong Luna beside me, how on earth should I settle for a weak omega as my Luna? My chest tightened in pain, and I felt waves of pain over my body. Sane tapped her feet on the floor in rage and began to run back to her pack. We both knew it was over. We both know the tradition. I know I am a fool because I didn't only mate with my betrothed's step sister, I also marked her. And now, I'm scared this might not be the end, because which more stupid acts will this black eyes blazing make me do? I bowed to my father the last time, before heading to my chambers, drenched in pain and confusion. I remember the moon goddess saying that only someone with the divine blood will be able to break this curse. I had searched for people with divine blood, and even with my Alpha powers and connections, and the reports said that they stopped existing years ago. The witch doctor had suggested things I would do to make sure the curse doesn't take the best of me. And I did them, which included taking the herbs he prescribed for me. But I can't place what happened when I met Amelia. My soul yearned deeply for her and the connection felt like I had known her all my life. Even after the one night stand, my body kept on needing her, and my soul knew how to remain calm each time I made love with her. But how would I make an ordinary omega my luna? I paced and paced round the room, pulses flaming. Suddenly, a soft knock landed on my door. And it was Amelia. She had come to serve her duty again as she placed a plate of sandwich and a creamy liquid on the table. My father burst into the room immediately, with a darkened gaze. "Prepare to crown her your Luna tomorrow. ""Y...you must be mistaking something." The great Xavier stammered, flashing a smile to the diviner."No, s...she can't possibly deceive us..."Now his eyes were fully on me, hard rampaging eyes, all eager to tear me apart."You brought us here for fun?"His voice thundered, threatening to bring down the trees around to the floor.I quickly sank my eyes to the floor as soon Oliver stood from his seat.Disgust sat on his face as he approached me.I knew I was in deep sh*t. I was such a fool for believing Sane.My heart hammered drastically, the next thing I felt was a hand cupping my jaw. Oliver lifted it up, causing my eyes to meet his. The most dreadful eyes."How dare you!"I gulped as the growl descended in my belle.Too ashamed to raise my eyes to meet his, because if not that I decided to be gullible, why would I ever listen to Sane. But if Sane was wrong, what then was happening with me?What happened the next fews seconds was swift, with the guards bounding me into the car.My
The rustling of the dry leaves intensified. The bird chirped clearly as we approached the central forest of the Starmoon pack. While my hands grew colder, my feet followed suit with each step.Oliver and his father, in company with the guards, were taking me to the central forest to meet the diviner.Since I claimed to have divine blood, it was time to prove it, and I better did.I released warm air into the atmosphere, anything to calm the tension that sat in my belle. The what ifs had come to taunt me again. What if all Sane said was false? I couldn't possibly bring the Alpha here for nothing, talk more of the great Xavier! My body quivered each time I caught a glimpse of him at the back. He looked so excited that finally there was hope, unlike Oliver who clearly had his doubts written all over his face. We'd advised the great Xavier to wait in the car since he was too old for the stress, but then, he wanted to witness everything. He wasn't even supposed to follow us here in the fi
"The pack lost in a war. That is the reason for the curse." His voice came slowly. Displaying various shades if emotions. His eyes narrowed down, it was almost like he was trying to avoid my gaze. I had never seen him appear so vulnerable before. "So, you-" "I'm going to love you, Amelia. No, I'm going to cherish you with every fiber of my being. No, I--I don't just have to say this, we have to put it into writing and the both parties to sign." I chuckled at the sound of that as I watched him motion his words, trying to make sure that I was convinced. Honestly I didn't see the need for that, I mean, he was the alpha and the least I expect from him was to keep to his words. The Alpha's keep to their words. But I was going to say the contrary. To sound serious of course. So, nodding my head sheepishly, I said, "I had it in mind that we're going to sign. At least the two parties will keep to the end of their bargain." I declared. Honestly, I couldn't help but feel the pri
Oliver held my hands tightly. He was robbing his large palms on it while his wide eyes steadied on me in mercy. This time, it didn't look like he thought I was joking.I could tell he knew I was serious. "Who told you I had a curse?"He asked calmly. All his wide eyes did was to plead with me never to lie to him.I pulled out from him immediately. If I was going to say what I know, I'd as well get something out of it.A lot of thoughts came to me as to what he should offer me before I speak, but only one stood out for me.The very thing I have longed for since the day I was crowned the Luna. No, I meant since the day I assumed this glorified position with no benefits. I cleared my throat as I started, his eyes pressed down on me in vulnerability. "Ever since I was crowned the Luna of this great pack,I have never enjoyed any benefits. I'm not even treated as one. The other day, you even instructed your guards to lock me up and ground me. Who does that to his Luna? Who does that to
"Is everything okay?"I asked as I followed him to the bathroom. Oliver leaned over the bathroom door by the time I stepped in. He was staring himself in the mirror with so much confusion written on his face. His eyes were still dark black and it didn't take me long to realize that I might be aware of what was going on.If what Sane told me was true, then that might be what was affecting the Alpha. But she had said I had absorbed his curse instead, so why was he still having strange transformations. My eyes quickly went through my body to see if scars might have started reappearing, but there was none, leaving me more confused. "I think-"I bit my lips. I was seriously thinking if I should tell him or would it cause me more trouble. My chest beat faster as I forced myself to make up my mind and come to a decision. While still thinking, Oliver's hands wrapped my waist. He bit his lips gently and pulled me closer to him."You know why I decided to ground you?"His words came, as hi
I heard a knock on my room before the door was opened almost immediately My eyes rose quickly to see whoever that would be at the door.It was just about an hour ago that one of the maids entered to drop off my meal.It was a plate of sandwich and dark chocolate. I had grinned lightly when the meal came.Dark chocolates were my favorite snack, although it was a weird coincidence that it was offered on a bad day like that.I remember I had never told anyone in the pack of my love for dark chocolates, so I found it very weird that they'd be served that day.Oliver walked into the room where he made the guards to ground me.That would be him coming in to check on me for the past twenty hours that I was in there with nobody to talk to.I scoffed at the sight of him, sinking back into the bed, I continued reading the magazine that kept me company all these while."Your ground time is over, Luna. I want you to dress sexy for me tonight. We'll be visiting one of my local clubs."His words
