Kaylee was quick to grip her wrist with a growl and draw her back. Most girls were infected and mesmerized by Tyler's beauty. His physique, aura, and display of understanding. Katie's happened to be one of them that had fallen under his innocent spell. For as long as she could remember, she had admired Tyler, but he never paid attention to any of them. She still had hope that her unrequited love would somehow come to an end, and she would be with Tyler. A dream free to have but expensive to achieve.

“I can feel her energy. It is faint, but battling between surviving and crossing over. She might look dead, but her soul is still alive, only faint and almost unnoticeable,” Kamala the last spoke, trying to subdue the situation.

“I felt it too,” Tyler concurred. “She spoke to me through her mind. Somehow, she directed me to her. It was like a magnet. I wonder how possible that is until I got close to her and realized that she was my mate.”

Kaylee averted her gaze from Tyler's desperate eyes to look at her sister, Kamala. “If that is the case, we can only help her when she wins the fight. We are healers and forbidden to interview in the affairs of nature, such as a battle between life and death. You should know this, Alpha Tyler.”

“We can only heal her once she makes the decision for herself. However, if she gives in to death, then, we have no other option than to stand back. That was her undoing,” Katida projected.

Tyler, who studied the ways of the healers before he, became an Alpha knew this. He didn't need a pep talk about it. Being intelligent and smart was one of the aides that gave him his current position.

“Till then, I'm afraid we can't touch her,” Kamala said once more.

“Are you trying to tell me that you three can't use your combined power to help her? What if she gives in? What if she isn't strong enough to make it back on her own?”

“I'm afraid that's left for her and nature to decide. Forcefully, an intervention will sap us of all our powers. We will be striped and might take days to regain it. This will endanger not just us, but you and everyone out here if we are attacked. Nobody will heal the injured,” Katida enlightened Tyler.

“Is there no alternative, Kaylee, Katida, and Kamala?”

“There could be?” Katida tried to say.

“Katida!” Kaylee warned. “Alpha Tyler, we can't even speak or think of it. Especially not because of a mere stranger.”

“I understand.”

Tyler's frustration grew the more. The triplet had different special abilities even though they were young. Kaylee could feel the climate; whether it would rain, be sunny, cloudy, cold, hot, harsh, unfavorable, or irritating. Anything that had to do with the weather, she felt it before anyone else. Katida could foresee when chaos would arise. She felt the presence and impact of war before it occurred. And, Kamala could feel a life source. Her power was the most interesting because she felt energies, and vibrations and gave a pronunciation between the living and the dead.

Tyler made sure their special abilities apart from being healers were hidden. Only a few knew about them because if words got out, other packs would want to attack and take them away. That was what made Tyler's pack outstanding. It took in the rejected and discovered something precious within them.

Most old members of the silver pack were either found abandoned or rescued by masters who wanted to kill them. The younger ones were birthed into the pack. The old Alpha had tried to find the origin and families of all the members. He was successful with all because he put in a lot of effort except for one. That exception was now the Alpha, Tyler. All the more reason he had questioned handing over power to Tyler, even though he was the most efficient candidate.

He feared that Tyler might be someone that much shouldn't be given to until the root of his existence was discovered. That decision couldn't stand as Tyler kept drilling all odds. Hopefully, his action with the girl doesn't make the dead Alpha of the Silver pack right.

“Why is she so important to him?” Kaylee asked Kamala who could sense energies which she would then narrow down to make meaning out of, with their mindlink.

The three had a unified mindlink they blocked off from everyone else for communication. Only they could feel, talk, and hear each other until they unlocked it, making it accessible to any other member of the pack.

“Because she is his mate,” Kamala answered. “The bond between them is strong, and he would stop at nothing until she is okay.”

“Interesting. Who would have thought that Alpha Tyler would find his mate after all these years? I'm eager to see how they will both push through because Alpha Tyler is a workload to deal with. An intolerable one. She better give in to death than live to deal with him,” Kamala gossiped.

“We will leave them to nature and the Moon Goddess. She has the power to revive or end her. Until then, we will do nothing.” Kaylee's mind went to Katida's earlier suggestion. “Katida, do you want to get us killed? What were you thinking? Don't ever speak of it. Don't mention it.”

“I'm sorry. When it comes to Alpha Tyler, refusing him breaks my heart.”

“Better get rid of your little crush and come to terms with reality. He has a mate now. Your petty seduction and favoritism won't turn his attention to you.”

" He has a mate, but that doesn't mean I can't try. Mates sometimes mean nothing more than an arranged marriage. I can still win him over before she does.”

“If this craziness continues, and I sense it one more time, I will make sure to make it impossible for him to even glance at you.”

“Enough! You too! We have a lot on our plate already. Quarreling should be the last,” Kamala reprimanded. “Tame your emotions, Katida. If she survives, give up on your crazy obsession with the Alpha. You have to channel that energy into something resourceful, like finding your mate. As long as Tyler lives, we serve him as nothing more than his healers,” Kamala fumed, cutting the mindlink with her sisters. She glared at them and shook her head in despair.

Katida's mind was fixed, regardless of what her sisters said. This man was his, and if a dead girl stood as a threat, she will kill her again. Mate? That was a fancy word that meant nothing to fearless Katida. She would keep trying until she got accepted to warm the cold bed of Tyler every night.

Kaylee stepped back and her sisters followed. They created room for Tyler, who was restlessly stomping around the room. All they had to do now is wait and see if she will somehow make it or if her body will be buried.

  • The Alpha's Second Chance Mate   EPILOGUE...

The soft rays of the morning sun painted the room in a warm golden hue as Lana cradled her newborn daughter, Kaylida, in her arms. She was a replica of her father, Tyler but had gotten her mother's hair. She was the best gift to the United pack, loved by all.The little one cooed gently, her tiny fingers grasping at the air. Tyler stood beside Lana, his eyes filled with awe and love for the precious gift they had been blessed with.Nine months had passed since Kaylida's arrival, and the family decided to celebrate by going on a picnic. They invited Kamala, to join them. The tranquility of the pack's garden provided the perfect setting for a relaxing day under the azure sky.As they set up their picnic spot, Lana saw the memorial stand nearby. It bore the names of fallen loved ones: Elijah, Kaylee, Katida, and many others. A wave of bittersweet memories washed over her, and she felt compelled to honor their memory.Lana turned to Tyler, her voice filled with emotion. "I'm glad we decid

Several months later...Months have passed with Tyler and his community doing nothing but rebuilding. He had Kamala brought over to join them. The land has brought together several packs focused on making the King's pack unmatchable.Lana agreed to have everything attributed to her past buried as it was a long time. A few times, she heard from Jack and Alpha Raven.Amid the reimagined Pure Crescent pack, a vibrant tapestry of unity and diversity unfolded. The once desolate lands had transformed into a breathtaking haven of life and serenity. As Tyler and Lana strolled together, their footsteps accompanied by the gentle rustling of leaves and the sweet scent of blooming flowers, their eyes beheld the beauty that surrounded them.Fields of wildflowers stretched as far as the eye could see, their colors blending harmoniously, painting the landscape with hues of crimson, gold, and azure. The air was alive with the melodic chorus of birdsong, and the delicate whispers of the wind through t

Afterward, he clasped her against him so tightly, it was to the point of pain. She needed it and wanted him to squeeze her even harder. They had no idea how long they remained like that, hearts thundering together, his hips softly rocking. Hours might have passed. When the now aggressive air began to flog their skin through the open window. "Is there a bathroom here?" Tyler questioned.Lana nodded pointing to the closed door on the left.Tyler didn't pull out. He carried her, with him buried deep in her straight to the bathroom. It was a simple one with a shower head, bathtub, and toilet area which was demarcated by a transparent glass. There was a cabinet with toiletries and towels and a bug full-length mirror.Tyler carried Lana under the showerhead, switching in the water with a free hand. The water from the showerhead began sputtering. Nonchalantly, he gave both of them a rinse without pulling away.Lana giggled, her breathing hoarse. "You do know that we need a proper bath after

Like an addict yearning for her drugs, Lana shuddered as Tyler teased.Once she managed to reach the heavy weight of his cock, he rasped, “Use it.”She rocked her hips up as she pulled his shaft to her. When the head made contact with her pussy, he bit out a curse, his length jerking in her hand. Panting, she ran the crown up and down between her swollen, flaring lips.“So slick,” he growled. “So ready for me.”As she petted her clit with the bulbous tip, his towering body shuddered with need. “Enough teasing. Wanted this too long.”He covered her hand with his own, fitting the crown against her entrance, pressing forward just a fraction. As soon as she knew without any doubt that she was about to have the best moment of her life that has been denied for months, she relaxed. He pulled their hands away, then began easing deeper, wedging the broad head inside. Her gasp was cut off by his lips, hungry and insistent as he sank his cock farther. Each inch forced her to stretch more and mo

The whole place was still in a frenzy as the dead and injured were being carried out. As Lana swayed her hips ahead of Tyler trying to help in whatever way she could, Tyler pulled her aside.Cupping her face with both of his hands, he brushed his thumbs over her cheekbones. “I need you," he whispered against her ears, and his breathing quickened."I need you too," Lana replied. "However, the pack needs us more. We need to put things in place. We have to decide where everyone would settle before we can have our moment," Lana reminded him as she ran her slender fingers through his now lengthy hair. The last thing as having a haircut and trimming his beard has been at the far corner of Tyler's head due to the whole commotion. He burrowed his stare into Lana's eyes, smiling proudly at her. He couldn't believe that he had almost given up such a wonderful soul due to anger. He was beyond glad that they found their way back to each other. With a calm face, he wrapped his hand around Lana's w

  • The Alpha's Second Chance Mate   CHAPTER 162: THE PEACE WE BRING.

As the smoke cleared and the victorious warriors gathered, Lana and Tyler stood on the grand balcony overlooking the battlefield, the weight of their recent triumph heavy on their shoulders. Annik knelt by their side, his eyes reflecting a mix of embarrassment and anger. The gathered wolves, both from the Pure Crescent pack and other clans that had come to their aid, watched with bated breath, their attention fixed on the trio who had emerged triumphant. The wounds of the battle were evident on their bodies, but their spirits burned with newfound hope. With a commanding voice that resonated across the assembled wolves, Tyler spoke, his words carrying the weight of authority and compassion. "Today, we have emerged victorious, not just as separate packs, but as one united force. We have proven that when we stand together, there is no darkness we cannot overcome." A chorus of howls echoed in response, a symbol of unity and agreement from the wolves who had fought valiantly side by side
