Ch 3

" Look Drew, I didn't invite her but I know her." someone said and everyone turned in the direction of the one who spoke. It was Stacy, his younger sister.

" And?"

" She's Giselle's daughter, Elora Davis. You know? Giselle, the woman who saved dad during the attack from the Night moon pack?" Stacy said, stepping forward as she addressed her brother boldly.

" Giselle is a wolf, sure but she couldn't have a child so she adopted a human child for reasons unknown to anyone. But since father asked Giselle what her reward for saving him should be, she asked that she would be allowed to raise the girl as a wolf like the rest of us. Dumb, I know but that's the gist of it," she explained and watched as Drew lost every fiber of control in him.

" So she's a human AND an orphan?!" he said, his eyes seething with rage as he glared at Elora.

" Pretty much," Stacy responded, enjoying the way things were going. She never liked Drew, he was a jerk to her and had always gotten the favor and praise from both their parents all their life, so she was so happy that Drew's wolf is a human because that is something his parents banished his older brother for. They believed that you are only paired to what you're worth and being mated to a human means you're worth nothing.

But Drew was not like their older brother. He was pure evil and all the love he tends to get was shown just to gain his favor when he becomes Alpha instead of his castaway brother. Drew had no intention of being like his brother so he did what his brother could not do.

" Elora is it?" he asked, turning to Elora who was shaking with fear as she sat on the couch alone.

" Y-yes." she stuttered and almost yelped when she felt his hand around her, pulling her up so she could stand up.

" look at me," he said. This time, his voice was calm and he didn't seem to be annoyed anymore by her presence so she looked at him. He had a smile on his perfectly handsome face and his eyes glimmered with mischief as he leaned and brushed her ears lightly with his lips, ". I Drew Summers of Glacier pack rejects you..." he started saying so loud that she jolted and tried to run away when she realized what he was about to do, but he grabbed her by the throat and asked, " what's your name again? I mean, I said it a while back but I've forgotten, so what is it?"

" Please don't" she managed to mutter as he tightened his hold on her neck and scoffed.

"Right, I remember now. I Drew Summers of New Moon pack reject you Elora Davis and I do not want to ever see your face again. You could never be a wolf let alone a Luna!" he lashed out and then took a deep breath as he continued, " Don't you ever let me see your face again else... I'll kill you, you know I will." he said, releasing his hand from her neck slowly and speaking loud enough for everyone to hear.

" The same goes for everyone else here if you value your life. As far as I'm concerned, this never happened -" he said pointing to Elora, "...MY MATE is Gina and that is what you guys will tell everyone when you leave this party. Do you understand?" he threatened and when he saw how petrified they were, he knew he'd passed his message across well.

" Now get out. All of you," he ordered and began to comfort Gina but when Elora was about leaving he called her back.

" You're going to stay here," he said to Elora.

" What? why?" Gina protested but he just chuckled and shushed her with his index finger over her lips before he said, " We have something to show her don't we? Something she'll never get to enjoy."

The moment he finished speaking, Elora tried to escape because she knew what was about to happen but two strong hands pulled her back and pinned her to the ground. She began to cry because she knew they were going to force her to watch whatever Drew and Gina would be doing and if she does see it, she will never forget it.

***********

It had been two weeks since what happened with Drew at his birthday party. That night, Elora ran home, crying and sobbing bitterly till 3 am the next morning. The reason for her pain was that she was never the type who believed that one day Drew would love her or call her his mate, instead, she was satisfied with admiring and doting on him from afar - even if he didn't know about her existence.

Now, he knows her. Now, the whole school knows her, and knowing how quick everyone is in supporting Drew, she knew they all loathed her just as much as he did. To her, it was better when he didn't know about her existence.

Since Stacy was still there while her brother and Gina were trying to force Elora to watch as they kissed and probably even have sex, she stopped them and threatened to tell their parents the truth about Elora and that gave her enough time to escape. When her mother, Giselle saw her, she was worried because this was the first time Elora had gone to a party and it seemed to her like her daughter didn't have a good experience. But, Elora knew better than to tell her mother what happened because although other wolves did not know, Giselle was dying and the last thing she needed was to have her mother worry over something that can't be helped.

She had already prepared herself for the moment when everyone would finally know who she is and even though Giselle tried to make her see herself as a wolf, Elora knew better than to think her life would be so easy by pretending to be what she was not.

Today however was probably the worst day in all her history of worst days because it was the first day of school since summer break ended. Elora could imagine all the bullying that would happen today and it wasn't something she was willing to get dressed and pretty for. So she decided to do something she's never done before - skip school.

She didn't have any friends so no one would bother to check up on her. Her only friend betrayed her the second Drew came into their lives. Just thinking about how Drew rejected her and the things he said about her left her heartbroken and dejected already.

When he kissed her, she thought that was the best feeling in the world, only for his friends to ruin everything by making him realize what he had done. She was really so depressed just thinking about it. All she wanted now was to forget it but how could she? Her mother would not agree to her moving to another pack and she honestly couldn't go even if her mother allowed it, who would take care of her?

With one last sigh as she looked at herself in the mirror, Elora flung her backpack over her shoulder and left her room with a forced smile just in case she sees her mother.

" Ready for your first day?" her mother asked when she got to the dining.

" Yeah, I'm so ready." she lied, smiling brightly as she ate the sandwich her mom had made her and gave an exaggerated reaction after one bite.

" Get outta here, you're gonna be late," Giselle said, laughing heartily at the way Elora's eyes sparkled as she ate. Her daughter loved food but she never seemed to gain weight no matter what she ate, so she just fed Elora whatever makes her happy.

" So, what's the plan for your twentieth birthday?" Giselle asked when she saw that Elora wasn't ready to leave. Elora's smile disappeared briefly before she burst into fits of fake laughter and shook her head. First of all, only her mom knew her real age was twenty and she got quite embarrassed by it because she looked fourteen or at most sixteen. Second of all, this would be the twentieth time that she would spend her birthday alone, with no friends. Even when Gina was friends with her Gina's mother would not let her come to her house for a birthday party or any kind so this birthday was just going to be like any other day for Elora. Besides, she didn't feel twenty.

" I don't know mom. I guess I'll just have to celebrate it with my only best friend in the world - you!" she responded before eating another sandwich but Giselle didn't like her answer. It was obvious that her daughter still hadn't made a single friend since she's been at Glacier pack and aside from the fact that she was human, Giselle couldn't see why else other kids wouldn't be friends with Elora.

She watched as Elora gulped down a glass of grape juice and poured some more into the cup before downing its contents quietly. She then brought out her chapstick from her cute, backpack so she could reapply them on her lips but she suddenly thought against it and kept it back in her backpack. To Giselle, Elora didn't need that chapstick or any of the makeup her peers put on to look beautiful. Elora was the most beautiful girl she'd ever seen and it wasn't because Elora was her daughter that she thought that way. It was simply because Elora was very beautiful - the most beautiful. Maybe that is what they fear about her, Giselle thought.

" Kay mom, I'm umm... I'm gonna go now." Elora said after she was certain that her mother was done with the usual " pity-stare". She grabbed her backpack, kissed Giselle on the cheek, and sprinted towards the door. She was just about to open the door when her mother said," Be careful today at school and say hi to Gina for me, will you?"

Elora froze because her mom has never mentioned Gina in a while. She noticed her mom stopped asking after Gina the day she told her that Gina was dating Drew. So why was Giselle suddenly bringing up Gina?

" Sure Mom!" Elora responded enthusiastically but she didn't dare look her mother in the eye. She just shut the door and started on her own to school since it was a stone's throw from her house.

The only thing on her mind now was, " What do I do now?" A part of her wanted to just walk into school acting like nothing ever happened two weeks ago but the other larger part of her felt that it would be a terrible idea and she should go somewhere else instead. So she chose the option she never tasted before - going somewhere else and that somewhere is a place she's forbidden from going, Princeton high, a human high school.

She kept reconsidering her decisions as she took the secret paths that lead to Princeton high because today was her birthday and her mother would definitely do something to celebrate it. If she goes to Princeton and gets too tempted she may not return and Giselle will be all alone. Who would take care of her then?

She didn't realize how long she debated on the matter inwardly until she looked ahead and saw that she has reached the boundary between their pack and the human territory. It was a very closely packed forest of trees that was difficult to walk through. " This is it. I have to make my decision now," she told herself. She however didn't do much thinking when she found her legs already leading her through the thick barrier of trees.

" Where do you think you're going?" She heard someone say and she jolted in fear because it sounded so much like Drew's father, Alpha Diesel. If it really is him then she is dead for sure.

" Did you not hear me?" The man said again and this time her heartbeat started to regulate unlike before when it was beating so fast with fear, and that was because the person who was speaking was definitely NOT Alpha Diesel! At least she thought that was a good thing.

Slowly, she turned around to see who it was that caught her and when she did she became puzzled and curious about if she had made a mistake thinking that Drew is the most handsome man she had seen. He looked so much taller, bigger, and a lot more handsome than Drew. His eyes were just as blue as Drew's, his hair was white as snow just like hers and that combination made him appear very cold. And as for his age, he couldn't be more than twenty-five. Yet in all her life she had never seen him before. Then, something caught her attention. His hair, yes, she had noticed that it was just as white as hers but he wore it in a ponytail and that wasn't a style just anyone could do in their pack, it was only done by soon-to-be Alphas.

She couldn't help but wonder who he was but the more she looked at him the more she was certain that he must be a relative of someone she knows. That bit she was a hundred percent certain of.

What the wolves did were mean but it is hard to feel sorry for this girl. She is just too pathetic. I mean you heard what the girls said about you and how Gina reacted, you know how the shitty Drew feels about omegas but you decide to go to the party anyway.
