~JESSICA POV~

Chaos. That's all I see.

One minute I'm smiling, beaming like every werewolf on their eighteenth birthday. The next, my white dress is stained with my older brother's blood. He's been impaled by a sword, his lifeless body sprawled on the floor.

The room is a gruesome scene. Bodies lie motionless in pools of their own blood, screams echoing off the walls. Pleading screams, war cries, angry shouts, and ferocious growls of clashing wolves.

I choke back a sob. "N...no."

Tears stream down my face as my heart races. I'm crying, screaming for help, but it's not enough. I'm holding my brother's lifeless body, and the reality is crushing me!

Suddenly, a glimmer of hope flickers to life within me. "Uncle."

My pack has been under my uncle's leadership since I was 12, after rogues brutally killed my father during a hunt. My uncle is a fair, strong leader who's always prioritized peace. But since this attack began, I haven't seen him anywhere. I must find him.

I can only hope my siblings and mother are hiding safely, escaping the carnage that's destroyed our home.

I gently release my brother's lifeless body and rise to my feet, revealing the full view of my dress drenched in his blood. "I'll go get help, Keith. I'll be right back," I whisper, trying to convince myself that he's still alive.

But my mind is screaming at me. He's gone! You're talking to a corpse!

I push aside the devastating reality and sprint out of the room, weaving through the hall of bloodbath. Bodies lie scattered, some in wolf form, others not. The stench of blood and death fills my nostrils, making my stomach churn.

Fear claws at my heart. No! I can't shake off the image of my older brother's lifeless body. I have to find my family.

I grip my dress tightly and sprint through the hall, weaving past the bodies of familiar faces. So many faces I knew, loved, and grew up with. The sight fills me with dread, my pounding heart racing with every step.

"Blaire! Mom! Ronan! Anyone!" I scream, my voice echoing off the walls, but there's only silence.

I frantically search every room, starting with their bedrooms, then the bathroom, the kitchen – every possible space in this vast castle. Sweat drips down my face, my breath coming in ragged gasps.

Where are they?!

As I emerge from the castle, I'm met with a war-torn landscape. The majority of my pack's wolves lie disembodied, their bodies torn apart.

"N... No!" A terrified scream rips from my throat.

But my cries only attract unwanted attention. The Blood Moon pack's wolves, drawn by my distress, give chase. I'm forced to flee, running and crying through the woods, terrified for my life.

Unfortunately, I'm met with a sight that makes my legs buckle, sending me crashing to my knees.

"Wha.." Shock overwhelms me, rendering me breathless.

My uncle, Alpha Richard of the Blue Moon pack, kneels before a familiar figure I've only seen in pictures. Alpha Tristan's eyes glow bright crimson in his wolf form, his clawed hand lodged in my uncle's chest.

"Goodbye, Richard," he whispers, his voice dripping with pride. "It was about time, don't you think?" With a twisted smile, he rips out my uncle's heart and drops it to the floor.

The other wolves, including those who just arrived behind me, erupt into a victorious howl, their voices echoing to the crescent moon.

"No! No! What have you done?!" I scream, consumed by grief as helpless, indescribable pain crashes over me like a roaring wave.

"Hmm?" Alpha Tristan turns to me, his head cocked with curiosity as he approaches.

My heart leaps to my chest, and I'm frozen in terror. I want to stand up and run, but my legs won't move.

His crimson eyes, flaring through the strands of hair falling on his forehead, soften slightly as they land on me. "You're Richard's niece, aren't you?" he asks, his voice low and rough.

I remain silent, unable to form words.

Alpha Tristan's smirk grows, his angular face illuminated by a dark, cruel light. He doesn't seem to expect a response from me, and his lingering gaze is making my skin crawl.

"And my mate, it seems," He grasps my chin tightly, his fingers digging into my skin, and leans in close. His scent hits me like a tidal wave, and I'm shocked by how intoxicating it is. I try to look away, but my gaze is trapped by his.

'Mate!' my wolf growls in excitement.

Of course, the moon goddess would choose this moment to reveal my mate – the being responsible for destroying my life on the night that was supposed to be the happiest and most unforgettable of my life.

The moment is indeed unforgettable, but for all the wrong reasons. Fear gives way to pure, unadulterated rage, burning within me like a wildfire.

Alpha Tristan and I engage in a fierce stare-down, his eyes flashing with hatred as he tries to dominate the fury coursing through my veins.

"I'll kill you with my bare hands," I snarl, my voice rough with emotion.

Alpha Tristan looks amused, his expression unthreatened by my vow. Why should he be? He just slaughtered my uncle right in front of me and is now tearing my pack apart without remorse.

He releases my chin, stands up straight, and turns his gaze to his assembled wolves. "Kill everyone else," he commands. "Leave no one alive. I'm taking my mate with me."

My body turns icy cold as his words sink in. "Wha...what?"

Tristan doesn't glance my way, and a surge of adrenaline fuels my desire to act. I rise to my feet, but just as I stand, a sharp pain shoots through my neck. Someone is behind me, injecting a sharp needle into the side of my neck.

I yelp, trying to shove the person away, but my body feels heavy, unresponsive. My vision blurs, and the world around me begins to spin.

Tristan finally turns to me, his head cocked to the side as he stares at me with an unnerving intensity. Shivers course through my spine.

"No..." Everything fades to black, and I'm consumed by an eerie stillness...

  • The Alpha’s revengeful mate   Chapter 092

~Tristan~ “Tristan, did you even hear what i said? He’s asking if he can come here to seek refuge?!” Sebastian tried not to scream that out loud. Something I could already imagine him doing in his mind already. “Yes I heard your clearly the first and the second time. Just let him come, prepare someplace for him or something.” I said to him absentmindedly. I mean I did hear him clearly but fuck the thought of the way her face was all red and puffy. Trying so hard to appear cool and not affected by the question, when she still hasn’t said a firm No to my question. I was in a damn happy mood and nothing was going up stop it. Not this hatred thing between Sebastian and Nevan. “You want me to let one of our suspect here?” His brows were raised up in a questioning way. “And give him access to harm someone?” You could see it all in his body movements. He was damn trying to look up anything and say anything that’ll stop Nevan from coming here. He was pr

~Jessica~ Very funny, very very funny. Ha ha you think I like you? Why? just because I felt the pain you were feeling? Get your act together Tristan. ‘That was convincing enough right? Myra don’t freaking go quiet now!’ I so wanted to blow out my brains right now. ‘Maybe’ she answered without any interest, her voice was low and sounded uninvolved. Shit! Shit! I should have atleast said something more convincing right? I didn’t like the way he was looking at me, making me almost choke as I couldn’t stop laughing at every sentence I was making. This was crazy! Entirely crazy. ‘Why the hell would he come up with a question like that, do I look like I like him or something?’ I asked, rubbing the nape of my neck And maybe I shouldn’t have asked my wolf any questions She was obviously not pleased with my answer and is not pleased with me. And I don’t want to add that to my worries, because why would she betray me this way and want our loved ones kil

  • The Alpha’s revengeful mate   Chapter 090

~Tristan~ My eyes patiently followed the way her chest was moving. A sign that she was still very much alive and stable. I couldn’t wait any other second and let myself in to take a look at her. After hearing all Sebastian said, I knew my wolf wasn’t going to be able to calm down without seeing her. There were lots of questions on my mind right now but it can wait. Wait till I am so sure that she’s calm and sleeping without issues. “I’ll fucking kill Sebastian for delaying something as important as this.” I whispered under my breath, confirming for the third time that she was fast asleep now and wouldn’t blink so uncomfortable again. When I came in you could see signs of struggles, her eyes half asleep. Making little troubled cute sounds as she slept. I was going crazy right? Because the sounds were signs to show that she couldn’t sleep comfortably but what did I do ? Still found it h*ll cute because apparently everything about her calls to me in a diffe

  • The Alpha’s revengeful mate   Chapter 089

~Tristan~ “What do you mean there was another attack?” My anger doubled up as he gave me a not good news. His eyes are careful and anywhere else but on me. Like he was giving me space on purpose. “Got a call from Zach.” “And you picked it in front of Jessica?” I immediately asked as I heard the name Zach. His eyes moved up with purpose, and this time around he looked at me in the face. “And of course Evie? How could you take such important calls in front of them.” I asked, bringing to his memory just in case he forgot that we were not to take such calls in front of others. Okay… we both knew they couldn’t do anything with the information we have. Maybe I didn’t want her to hear all of it and still strongly see me as a monster. It’s something I was working on changing, hoping she could see me in a different light. He smiled awkwardly, looking at me with a nod before speaking up. “They couldn’t hear anything boss and besides it had to be important for

  • The Alpha’s revengeful mate   Chapter 088

~Jessica~ His words rang out loud and hell I haven’t seen such a disappointed look on anyone’s face before. It went completely silent, everyone’s eyes taking a peek at me and I don’t even understand what’s going on. It didn't register at all until he finally did smile a little and stood up at once to go upstairs. “Did he just say apple?” I asked myself, lost in whatever was going on right now. My eyes turned back to follow his movements but he was already gone and out of sight. I still wasn’t getting it, what did he mean by apple again? I stood up like I was wired to, I needed him to explain what he meant. I didn’t like the look he had on his face. “Don’t bother. I don’t think you should go after him if you just did the apple thing with him again.” Sebastian spoke up, stopping me from moving any further. What the hell is going on? Why do they keep saying that and having a long look on their face while at it … like I killed someone. “Can you exp

  • The Alpha’s revengeful mate   Chapter 087

~Jessica~ “Do you want to go upstairs first?” Gianna brought me out of my thoughts, tapping me lightly as she looked at me with a small smile. The fact that I might know why that smoke was there made it all worse. “No, I'm okay. I’ll just eat dinner and then go up.” I’m not running away, whatever Sebastian said wasn’t my business in any way. She nodded her head, and walked away with that smile still plastered on her face. Like she was blushing on my behalf. The thoughts I know I can’t wash away from her memory snd she’ll definitely be thinking things about my red lips and Tristan. They would be done any minute from now and I can’t seem to get a hold of myself. I shouldn’t have listened to him say rubbish to me. “Jessica what’s wrong with you!” I hit my messed up head with one of my hsbds. His words rechoing snd Myra recharging the words ‘no harm in opening up.’ “Pfft.. like I was ever closed up. He’s clearly just not my type.” I cursed under my
